  • In this episode I remove the windscreen frame so that I can refurbish it and at the same time have better access to the scuttle.
I also take apart the rocker shaft for cleaning revealing some wear.
Finally I paint the scuttle, undercoat the valance and then lose my keys.....

Besides your quality workmanship and work ethic the thing I most enjoy about your posts, Johnny, is how you have no compulsion to hide your inner feelings about your restoration adventures with the rest of us. We have all felt the sense of accomplishment you share as well as the exhaustion and temporary self doubts and questioning you express. We are with you all the way! Like the popular saying these days: :Thanks for sharing." Also: What a hoot watching you look for your keys...I was laughing right out loud. There's another one of those sayings lol.

Thanks Albert. Me and keys have never got on...
I try to talk to the camera as if I am talking to a friend. There are time when I look at my videos and feel I was a bit too 'plastic' if that makes sense.
I dont have a huge amount of viewers on this channel but nevertheless, I am very appreciative of those that do watch and especially the regulars like yourself.

Thank you for that. I feel like I've passed the worse and it gets easier from here. Like any restoration, you start off by making it worse before it starts to get better

HEY TREE-TOP, 'OLE BOY. I'LL SHOOT A VIDEO FOR YOU PROLLY MONDAY ON WHERE I'M AT WITH THE WOOD WORK. I'M TALKING ABOUT THE 250-YEAR-OLD MOBIER CLOCK. GREAT VIDEO ON THE CAR BUILD!! @ 15:29 THIS IS WHAT ALL TRUE CRAFTSMEN SHARE, WHEN I.M SANDING OR WORKING ON ANYTHING THAT IS RENEWABLE, WE SEE WHAT THE PREVIOUS PERSON DID. THIS IS WHY WE LOOK TO FINISH ANY MINUTE ITEM TO A CRAFTSMAN'S PERFECTION! LAZINESS IS ANATHEMA TO US!

Looking forward to your video, Artemus.
I get real joy from turning something old into something new again. Each individual component become a project within itself.
