- Even though I don't work much on the TR6 these days I have a little progress so I wanted to post it before you decide I abandoned the UA-cam channel :) I replaced the faulty oil pressure line with a steel braid one and installed the windshield frame. Not much but still progress.
All the best Elin . Love your work. The cars can wait. Do what you need to do.
It looks like I am back to normal with my cars now :) Hopefully with everything else too!
Always a joy to watch your videos. Good luck with whatever is challenging you. You are in my. Thoughts and prayers.
Thanks James!
Life can deal some bad stuff Elin but the important thing is how we deal with it as a person. Whatever it is that is troubling you I am sure you will find a way to deal with it. Sometimes we can't get rid of things and we just have to 'crack on' as we say here in the UK
I am not sure if it was my suggestion to use the steel braid oil pipe but glad you used one. Those plastic pipes were typical of the cheap crap we used to put in brilliantly designed cars.
Yep! It was you and then some other people who suggested it. Thanks for that. I never knew they existed!
One day at a time and all will sort itself out, best regards, Geoff from Australia
Thanks Geoff! I know, it s all for better, I am sure!
Stay strong Elin. Whatever ever it is, it will work out. Cheers. Sean
Thanks, Sean!
My thoughts and prayers are with you Elin.
Thank you!
Stay strong, Elin. When you re-fit the oil pressure gauge after fitting the dash, remember to use the leather washer to seal between the pipe and the gauge.
Well, this specific one doesn't use any seals. This is how it is designed
Another great video bubba! I am your backup if you need anything. I will stand with you!
Thanks Brother! I appreciate it!
Rien de grave, je l’espère! Hâte de te revoir en pleine forme! Amitiés!
Merci beacoup!
Looking forward to when you set the frame "rake" and install the windshield glass and top.
Stay strong.
I guess you know the windshield was done now. The top is coming soon :)
Never forget.....the best is yet to come.....-;)
Exactly! Thanks for the support!
Whatever happens Elin, it was meant to be, even if the end result is not what we wanted. There's a saying that I like, though I'm not really a religious person, that has many variations. Mine is: "God will never give you more than you can handle."
dont be so morbid chris, now get back to those doors lol
lol. I got Raptor liner on the bottom today. Video to follow...
Thanks Chris! I believe that everything happens for a reason! It always works out...
Elin, hope all is well with you and that the challenges you're facing get resolved. Please reach out to me if there's anything I can do to help.
Thank you David! I really appreciate that! I will be fine! Thanks!
Oh hi Elin, youre back!
Never been away! Just slowed down for a while :)
The original plastic around the windshield and the lower windshield rubber seal was glued on with contact cement. Since you didn't disassemble the TR6, you would have no way of knowing that.
Just off hand I want to say that the engine still sounds like it's running rough and loud. I don't know if it's down to a final tune up or if there's a more serious problem. It will probably sort itself out though. I'm sure that whatever it is, it won't escape your attention for very long.
Yeah, the carbs have been rebuilt about 2 years ago and just put back together. They need some serious tuning. I am not really good with that, but I will have to learn eventually :)
@@RustyBeauties Edd China on the Wheeler Dealers UA-cam channel rebuilt and tuned a pair of SU carburetors on an old Saab. Watching that I feel like even I could do it.
I thought it was “braided” too. I think we are correct. 🤔 Cars can wait until things get better.
lol
Sorry to hear your stressed but as long as the family is ok everything is secondary and will pass.As far as the door glass put in the inner and outer door seals which are the most difficult thing to install on the car even with that stupid tool that Moss sells good luck my friend and have a beer for me.
Thanks! Well the beer never stops coming :)
That's why it's called knuckle busting
LOL, I know :)
Hope your troubles soon pass, Elin.
Thanks Peter
What's up my brother
Just the regular life obstacles. It will all be fine at the end! Thanks!
Accent? You have an accent?
Yeah, I don't think so, but this is whet they say LOL
Hi Elin, I have been following you for quite a while and always refer to your videos as I restore my own TR6. You are the No1 youtube go-to for anything TR6 related.
Ive just refitted the screen frame on my 72 and no matter what I do, on one side, the bottom rubber will not flatten out ua-cam.com/video/dJww0tWMnJc/v-deo.html What am I doing wrong here???
Johnny
Hi Johnny, I just took a quick look at the video and left you a comment. I hope it is helpful.
Don't get rid of your accent!
Accent? What Accent LOL
