- Touring/Sightseeing is a ship that allows you to see what you want and how you want to see it, and when we look at ships that do this job for 2 or more in a small crew, I have some recommendations!

I believe an honorable mention should go to the reliant sen, mako, and tana (not kore). While these variants cannot fit a ptv, they do offer two beds, a bathroom, and an unparalleled view for two in the cockpit. The ship also comes in at under $100 and is small enough to land in most places, the tana even offers a suit locker and some additional storage.
A Subject near and dear to my heart! I am a space tourist! And the 400 and 600 are great ships for this!
Totally agree with the 400i. Its my daily, it has a S3 shield, its fast and can take a gound or hover bike. It is also the ship that in reallity i would take for an adventure due to the speed and durability. I also do smuggling perfectly! Great vid!
A good vid for people like me who's primary gameplay loop when they rarely log in is finding interesting places to take wallpaper screenshots.
Apologies for lazy voice...late night recording with sleeping family dampened some ability to show enthusiasm.
Phoenix. It is the only ship for the job. Best windows in the game.
Missed opportunity to recommend your favorite ship, STL: The Reliant Tana! 😂
Seriously though, two person crew, GREAT cockpit, beds, shoilet, 1 SCU, I think a closet to keep in armor and weapons, and the second player can take control of the remote turrets to fire all around the ship. Yes it still has problems but for once it would stand out in this role at the cheaper end of the curve.
While I don't like the reliant, it's a fair call out. Thanks for adding Timbal!
I have to say, the Tana is a great ship.
On paper.
The Reliants are my absolute favorite small ship for giving new players a tour with.
It's compacts size allows landing almost anywhere.
And the cockpit view is one of the best in the game.
By no means do I consider it a great ship - but I believe it stands out as a solid sight-seeing vehicle.
As always, great stuff YoungBlood!
Tana cannot hold a vehicle. Kore can barely hold a PTV, but it sacrifices the bed/bath amenities the other variants include. So none of the reliants on their own can satisfy all the requirements of this list.
Tana is an absolutely great ship though. Perfectly capable of mid tier bounty PvE. Great for doing delivery missions. Great for sight seeing thanks to cockpit. Too bad it cannot travel very far with its tiny fuel tanks though. Kinda odd since it has all that wing area to place fuel. Tana has same quantum as a Mustang and a slight bit more hydro.
@@Power5 Very true
Thats not a fish hook - its the bottle opener.
If the 400i had a slightly larger bike elevator bay and a redesigned main elevator, it would have ended up being my daily driver ship over my Constellation Andromeda and Aquila. Can't wait for advanced long range sensors, the addition of probe drones from the top turret and possibly some hydrogen refining for the Aquila.
A note, the 400i has quite a few annoying but not game-breaking bugs. It's perfectly usable, but it can get on your nerves.
Was thinking this myself, it's a lovely ship but it's just too rough right now for showing the strengths of SC. Frankly what they charge for such a broken ship is a joke.
yeah, I pretend those don't exist... As far as I've seen the bugs are all visual. I've never fallen through the floor, or anything(used to happen a few patches ago on the MSR EVERY time I got out of the pilot's seat). I base how much I want to play on the way things are, but I try to judge ship designs on how they're SUPPOSED to be.
@@BrentODell One of the beds will yeet you out the ship if you're not careful.
Yep, i'll never sell it because it's my go-to day tripping yacht, i own the meridian paint for it and its the only none combat ship i will likely ever own, but goddamn do they need to fix those bugs.
The 400i really is a great ship design.
The 400i is one of my favorite ships, and pairs really well with the current referral reward, the STV. It's way more protected than the MSR, and much more fuel efficient without giving up much top speed. The MSR is the clear winner on cargo though. The ship that I think most people sleep on for touring with a two-man crew is the C2. She handles really well for a big ship, has a great hab deck, and the cargo bay can hold multiples of literally anything you want to bring along, from rovers to racing ships to tanks. The flight deck doesn't have the best view, but the remote turrets do. If you get a C2 though, you are going to want to upgrade components ASAP, since the stock loadout is not impressive.
I toured in someone's corsair sightseeing javelin crash and the MSR+600i crash site. I'm not into RP but I did enjoy having my own room and gun racks and an Ursa parked in my guides ship. Overall I enjoyed the experience.
Oh man I miss the old cutlass vs the new cutlass.
The Connie has a P52 _mustang_ 😉
While I love the Alexandra Rose, my 890 Jump, it's... a bit much. I think the 400i may be my favorite ship, overall, in the game. It's cool looking, has room for three, has a special bike garage, some cargo space, and it's pretty fast.
890 jump or the constellation Phoenix was never ever really sold as touring ships originally. The touring title came much later. 890 was sold as modular exploration ship and the constellation Phoenix was well armed excort ship.
I picked the 600i for this as it is one of the main things I want to do. Nothing like being space tourists and goofing around.
Go ahead, you can call it "Shoilette". And it is a "P-52 Merlin", not Mustang. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Next to the 400i, the Phoenix would be my pick but more for a 4-5 person touring ship. With the panorama roof, great side windows with seating, a hot tub and a bar together with the Lynx would make it a totally cool ship for larger touring routes with a bunch of people.
Cutlass Black has 22 minutes of atmo flight time, compared to 53 minutes for the freelancer. The lancer is the clear choice for base multi-crew touring ship between these two, though neither is ideal.
Where in the world did those numbers come from? I'm fairly certain I have managed to get well over 1.5 hours in the cutlass while roc mining
Sure you aren't talking about MOLE atmo flight?
Why is the corsair not on this list? It is a exploraising ship, and you could do it solo or with a crew(max 4)
Agreed. The corsair is often called a pirate ship, but its PvP performance is so terrible that it really should be viewed as a cargo/exploration ship that one can also use for PvE combat. It's got a lot of features that makes it a good sightseeing ship: the cockpit view is very good, you have a lower cockpit that can be used for searching things on the ground as the pilot flies the ship from the main cockpit, the elevator takes you topside (very few ships give you access to that without having to EVA), the ship has a docking port and the cargo bay can take a medium ground vehicle or two small ones. The cargo bay is also good for launching Furies since it's pointing backwards so the furies can launch while the ship is moving.
Nice list, and i agree on the value of the Freelancers. I actually have a MAX as my primary workhorse and use a DUR as my usual first ingame purchased daily driver (occasionally the Warden instead). But the point about fuel capacity is tricky. Looking at the Raft and Hull A which i assume are already set for Pyros size, i fully expect a big fuel capacity update for all ships that will destroy every opinion based on current traveling ranges
Best ground vehicle for the 400i is the STV. Fits perfectly, and is better than the smaller PTV.
I would love the E1 for those times when Im just checking out space views but how long before they release that variant? Probably not til they have commercial flights and release the Genesis first? I dont know. Thx for the video
Anything but the MSR. The doors on that thing drive me absolutely nuts.
Of you are watching this afrer christmas 2023 spririt c1 is amazing.
The 400i is the key to the verse.
Why isn't the Valkyrie in that list, or at least in the honorable mentions?
as a solo flier, I'm still hoping for modules so I can install a habitat module in my Pisces #spacevanlife 😄
Someday when RSI wants a huge infusion of cash they're going to release an exploration variant of the MSR.
Cutty black is nice, but honestly, I would go with the base freelancer over the Cutty Black. However, I think the upcoming Apollo will offer once of the best 2 person experiences
Sounds good but I need a space girlfriend for these ships…
The price is high, but I think the Valkyrie deserves to be on your list. It has seats for many people (25), has plenty of space for both stuff and vehicles at the same time, flies really well for its size, and has plenty of fuel and speed.
You would use a Valkyrie for....Touring??
1:40 seeing video of original cutlass with cockpit fan like the corsair has. Funny though since the pilot is wearing a space suit in the clip with the fan running. Not a fan of the cutlass ship at all. It is too ugly and I think it has a pretty poor layout and use of space still.
They lowered the 400I a bit, so the ROC will no longer fit in the ship.
It will if you shoot the top light bar off
