Dara and Fern both did multiple signs per sheet. The video shows them using a cutter that was provided for them. That is the obvious way to go since the laminator does not have a Fast setting, much to Munya's chagrin.
There is often NO NEED AT ALL to set *any* of the tasks on location, but clearly it's a production decision to add some variety to the show both visually and in terms of the objects available to the contestants.
Me just being like how did they not all know they would have to obey the signs. The told you to give commands of course they're going to give them to you
Print and Laminate Unique Instructional Signs. Now Do What Your Signs Say to Do. mine would have been a seat changing game, Start Here move 3 seats to the left, sit in the seat directly across from you, move 2 seats to the right, move 5 seats to the left, stand up walk 5 steps to the right, sit down in the 3rd seat to the right, .... like that.
"Split in two" is one option. If he feels like a fancy boy, he could use "Split twain." I have it on good authority that Greg is a master spatchcocker.
I immediately recognized this was a trap and wanted someone to make a sign that said "Breathe for at least 0.01 seconds" and then increment the duration by 0.01 seconds for each new sign.
This is a good task - we get to watch old people struggle with technology, it's a fun two-part task, and it balances it with fewer instructions (making the % easier)
My first though was print the following signs. This is seat 1. go to seat 2 If non exist go to seat 1 Then just continue to increment the signs. Until I ran out of time.
Strategy: Make signs "do not sit in this seat" "do not sit in the seat left to this" "do not sit in the 2 seats left from this" etc Easy to mass-produce, and quick to follow (just do not sit down)
First thing I thought of for signs was basic instructions. Sit. Stand. Kneel. Point your finger. etc. Glad to see I would have aced the second section.
I think because the instructions are implicit? Any sign, at least on a road, say, that has an animal on it means "look out for this animal". They wouldn't tell you about kangaroos on the road if there wasn't some need to look out for them.
I thought they were? They were all a variation on ‘Watch out for X’ - burglars, kidnappers, the Gruffalo, muntjac deer, etc. ‘Watch out’ is an instruction.
Easy task, first one, "Sit for longer than 0.0001 seconds", next "Sit for longer than 0.0002 seconds", next "Sit for longer than 0.0003 seconds", and so on. This was my thought before I watched the 2nd part, even then it would have still worked because you sit for a second each one and your done. Id be brilliant at this game LOL

Could you set the font size to super tiny and do like 50 on a page and then cut it up and place the tiny ones for speed.
Dara and Fern both did multiple signs per sheet. The video shows them using a cutter that was provided for them.
That is the obvious way to go since the laminator does not have a Fast setting, much to Munya's chagrin.
Love John haha what a gem
0:22 Why did they swap Sicily to Silly?
This show is silly.
Where do they swap it from one to the other?
"He went to Cambridge!" is the only thing I've understood Fern say
John: "I COULDN'T READ HALF OF THEM!!!"
Me: "And who's fault is that?"
This might be my favourite episode
I love that there was absolutely NO NEED AT ALL for this task to be set at Gatwick Airport. (Much like the previous toilet one.) 😂
They had Gatwick to themselves because the South Terminal was closed June 2020 - March 2022, so damned if they didn't use it.
There is often NO NEED AT ALL to set *any* of the tasks on location, but clearly it's a production decision to add some variety to the show both visually and in terms of the objects available to the contestants.
Now I know what I'm doing next time I'm stuck in an air port for a few hours.
Me just being like how did they not all know they would have to obey the signs. The told you to give commands of course they're going to give them to you
Print and Laminate Unique Instructional Signs. Now Do What Your Signs Say to Do.
mine would have been a seat changing game, Start Here move 3 seats to the left, sit in the seat directly across from you, move 2 seats to the right, move 5 seats to the left, stand up walk 5 steps to the right, sit down in the 3rd seat to the right, .... like that.
Greg doesn't know "Bifurcation" he doesn't know the term "Hemisect," what does he call splitting things in two?
"Split in two" is one option. If he feels like a fancy boy, he could use "Split twain."
I have it on good authority that Greg is a master spatchcocker.
I immediately recognized this was a trap and wanted someone to make a sign that said "Breathe for at least 0.01 seconds" and then increment the duration by 0.01 seconds for each new sign.
This is a good task - we get to watch old people struggle with technology, it's a fun two-part task, and it balances it with fewer instructions (making the % easier)
haha Looks like a great season again
Is there any other kind? 😄
0:21 Anyone else see them change Sicily to Silly?
My first though was print the following signs.
This is seat 1.
go to seat 2
If non exist go to seat 1
Then just continue to increment the signs. Until I ran out of time.
How did they get the airport empty for this ???
The terminal was shut due to covid, so they used it before it reopened
Anybody know which airport it was ?
@@nigeljames6017 Gatwick I think
Gatwick South Terminal, was closed for renovations
@@emabuckley774 Really ? Do you think it was closed during Covid as well ?
Strategy:
Make signs "do not sit in this seat" "do not sit in the seat left to this" "do not sit in the 2 seats left from this" etc
Easy to mass-produce, and quick to follow (just do not sit down)
This was the moment Dara became Pointsenberg.
gawd i can't wait for full episodes... will they upload them here once the series is over? or was that just a pandemic thing?
The next series to be uploaded is 11, it'll be a year or two until 14 has finished syndication, it hasn't even left the UK yet.
@@krashd ah okay, thanks
I love them already
I've probably watched more taskmaster than the contestants...but i did see it coming about obeying the signs.
bifurcate into two separate poos is incredible
John's note reads:
BUM'S
ONLY
PUT YOU
R BUM H
EYE
BUM HOME
Sign that says "POON' at 4:44
Great Task!
First thing I thought of for signs was basic instructions. Sit. Stand. Kneel. Point your finger. etc. Glad to see I would have aced the second section.
Wouldn’t be much fun to watch though!
Was thinking "count to 1...2...4...5" etc cuz could copy and paste
How did Dara get full points when not all his signs were instructional!
Full episodes stopped being uploaded?
Did John add the apostrophe in "BUM'S ONLY" or was it added only in the caption text?
He put it in there
The moment they started saying "fonts" I was like
if anyone uses comic sans
they should automatically lose the episode
Victoria Coren Mitchell must be unbelievably jealous of this task and everyone involved in it.
The second task could have been "do the opposite of all your signs." Sit for shorter than 0.000001 sec.
