One really does have to admire how Alex, without ever breaking character or overtly stating any purpose other than detached, professional arbitration, is thrilled when someone is clearly off on a wrong or frankly insane tangent and is happy to... egg them on.

I would have expected Rhod to boil them all for half an hour and just pick one.
That was my initial thought.
Any time a task says that you'd be penalized for touching the same thing as another contestant, I would touch everything just to be chaotic.
Lol If I remember correctly, Mel did end up doing that.
So many arguments among the contestants over the seasons. Lisa skipped it and just went "can it!" I enjoy the variation. :-)

I understand that, but you can just spin the egg. You know long before stopping it if it's hardboiled or not, it's kind of pointless beyond teaching kids about conservation of momentum. For simply checking if it's boiled or not, just spin it because you get the same result in reverse. It doesn't want to spin when you are adding that same energy that keeps it spinning when you stop it. Stopping it again suddenly is a good way to break yolks because the chalazae (the white stringy bits that anchor the yolk in the center) can easily tear the membrane. It will happen pretty much every time with a fresh egg. (I have 10 hens, I'm an egg dork apparently).

If you took zero shots or scored 0 eggs then youd have the lowest point because anything times zero is zero.

14:15 well, the task didn't say a time penalty for each shared object touched. It said for each object touched. That implies to me that as soon as you touch one object that another contestant touched, all other objects you touch (whether another contestant touched them or not) would add an additional penalty.
I would have removed the shell and said "the egg itself is not damaged, only the shell"
I find it funny that with five people, not one person went to an egg hatchery and asked to take a photo with every employee holding an egg to put on tv.

the fewest number of eggless shells - you start with 5 shells all with eggs.. Blow one and you have one eggless shell - leave the rest alone.

Almost all egg laying chickens are vaccinated for salmonella in the UK I believe. Still a risk but not that substantial as long as they’re not from your farmer mate down the road.
I believe more people get it from uncooked flour.

I am no genius, but I am just amazed how little intelligence even these smart comedians employ, especially when the logic of the Taskmaster tasks is well known and consistent. I hope it’s all performance for the sake of entertainment.

Any task with Liza in it is essentially just a write off, regardless of how bad she does they will give her 5 points regardless.

Well, not every task, but there's a large majority where she is overscored or not called out for cheating where others would be. The fact is, on any other season, if another contestant had been that lazy and photoshopped eggs on - Greg would have put them in last place. He says something about minimal effort to Alice, and there's Liza finding some internet image, photoshopping herself and some eggs onto it....
honestly feel like they shouldn't force vegans to participate in those egg tasks, just from a moral pov- just as if someone was allergic to eggs you wouldn't force them to, either..

Romesh has said since that he hated using the eggs, and admitted that if he wasn’t as early in his career at the time he would’ve considered refusing to use the eggs
