In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Комедії
"I still got searched" was a gem of a joke lmao
John Kearns might be a man of limited talents, but when it comes to competitively launching an insubordinate trolley against another inside an airport terminal, there's no one quite like him.
An *abandoned* airport terminal
He is an enigma
Insubordinate?
@@FogelTheVogel Good point, this task must be revisited when it's packing again.
Him and Dara really, John goes for precise calm calculated efficiency and Dara goes for something more of a catholic experimental creative yet sober adaptable flair, along with Chris Rameses sausage thing i'd love to see this become a national sport in some tiny island protectorate somewhere with Dara plus John as professionals.
So good to see John triumph 😊 Especially after the "you didn't show my feet" "debacle"
My heart was standing still!
Not gonna lie, I cheered. He deserved that.
I'm sure Joe Wilkinson still wakes up in the middle of the night with flashbacks.
I think my favourite part about that interaction is its clear how much he watches the show and how well he knows it. Yet for the most part he is terrible at all the tasks.
He is so wholesome. My girlfriend and I were cheering so loud for his this episode.
@@rederik99 If not for the foot fault, it wouldn't be the best moment in taskmaster history. So it kind of works out for him in that way.
2:04 The fact Fern got it through a barely trolly sized gap is even more amazing than actully hitting it
1:40 Sarah got the trollies stacked.
I'm 100% sure the producers hoped someone would try using a massive line of trolleys stacked to try and reach the target.
😯
I'm guessing that would've been rather difficult to make work well enough to win.
@@firesong7825 Happy birthday....sorry, i meant, 'go big or go home'. 6:47
This idea came to me when watching it.
That is immediately what I would have done. The sheer momentum from a huge line of trollies would provide a much more linear trajectory in this "bowling". Not to mention if it did start to turn it would be a guaranteed hit given the width a trolley line would give you!
Does anyone else have a constant urge to just hug John Kearns and tell him it’ll be alright? I’d have cried if they’d done a Joe Wilkinson “please don’t take it away from me” moment with him 😂
A huge thank you to Gatwick Airport for allowing the production crew to film a few tasks in their closed terminal with their own equipment! These tasks are highly enjoyable!
Gatwick probably needed the money after covid lmao
@@kurosakiichigo7475 Good one bro
Probably needed the money since it was opened
Like the employees haven't done this before.
@@dannybau Having working in airports I can confirm we have indeed done this.
I love how quickly Alex came out with "Happy birthday."
Reminds me of that card memory task.
I don't know who John Kearns is, but the look of gratitude he has for winning this Trolly Toss makes me incredibly proud of him for this win. He looks like a little boy who's never won anything in his life, and was told he just got the gold star.
He did very well in a earlier task but then was disqualified for stepping in the wrong place, so this was like a redemption for him.
I appreciate how Dara put his object trolley at 90 degrees so as to present a larger target
You don't get to that level of trolley bowls without taking it seriously!
@@KitagumaIgen You are completely correct
John bringing in a little meta knowledge of the show and the double fakeout was great.
What a great use for a closed terminal. Everyone has dreamed of being able to do this!
i keep wondering, where do they just randomly find a closed terminal like this??
@@asynchronousongs a London terminal was closed and used for filming due to COVID-19

2:04 Am I the only one who finds Fern saying “OHH, NOOOO!” to be the most adorable thing ever? Seems like she says it twice an episode.
She reminds me in the best possible way of Charlotte Ritchie, both have a wonderful endearing quality
I love it so much. Even found myself saying it at work occasionally.

"Go on you... BASTARD" - John Kearns, while nailing an obscure skill
This series really has proven that Dara is one of the modern greats. What a hilarious & brilliant human being.
100% 👍
Dara's the only one to ever sweep an episode, and unless he completely falls apart he's approaching uncatchable. I can't wait to see him in Champion of Champions
@@stargate525 Yeah, the only thing this season is lacking in is a close fight for the win.
All I ever hear him say is hevbhhvthjifssexcfrcvff eeeeeehhhhh
Absolutely
John's technique was really good. He launched the trolley nice and flat, which helped it travel in a straight line for longer.
Series 14 was really excellent. All likeable people, very different, some unknowns (to me) and some very good tasks. Also glad that the audience is really back in it.

Yeah identitiy politics are really funny
@@goldytwatus1674 huh
Munya's optimism is so contagious
I know, right?! He is always so confident and cheerful it feels like he's winning the series. How surprised I was when they revealed he's currently in last place 😂😂
@@baothunguyen3424 He did really well in the opening episode, but ever since his scoring has been very average, but yeah I was surprised too
This is such a good season, a great lineup with everyone working off of each other and doing great alone, the task themselves are fresh again, and Alex and Greg seem to be really enjoying the shows. It's so nice.
What season is this
@@teewithey5879 i think it's 14, it's the latest one so far
@@teewithey5879 series 14!
Taskmaster UK doesn't have a bad season so far.
@@scorpioninpinkit has several..... Mostly ones with insufferable unknown guests. Most notably the one with Richard herring and the awful woman dressed as a fat wonderwoman
What's interesting is that it didn't say you had to stay behind the line, just start there.
Oh yeah, true.
Thank you! I kept waiting for the last person to walk 3 minutes
Me: “Wait all you need to do is strike to trolley with the other trolley. And you have to start from behind the line. Why not pick up the trolley, running from the starting line. And strike the trolley with the trolley you were carrying. And keep on pushing the trolley till you are at the end.
It also didn't say what side of the line the trolley had to be on, just had to be the furthest. I would've just put it across, tapped it with another, then grabbed both and moved them "further" all the way across the airport on the "starting" side of the line
When she gets really excited no one is as endearing as Fern Brady. Nor is no one more deadpan great than Fern when she tells Alex to f**k off 😍
"WHAT'S THE SAUCE???"
The best part of this episode for her is when she simply descended into madness when Alex was trapped in a tube.
I really want Fern to win an episode. (I want all 5 contestants to win at least one episode, but especially Fern)
@@Lukesmithbrfc yeah how the hell has John won 2 before she won any? Oh well it doesn't matter, like Desiree Burch illuminated...there are other motives at work. And one thing I learned is that she has the best-titled autobiography ever. And is absolutely hilarious. I knew I loved Sara Millican and that Dara was brilliant even if I don't really love that show. But Fern has the one I've become newly a fan of. her Twitter is hilarious too.
Her voice when she said that was hideous
Of all the tasks in the history of the show, this is the one i want to do the most.
I'm so sad nobody realized that with the way it was worded, someone could start behind the line and run with a trolley to the first trolley and strike it. It never mentioned where your feet had to be while you're touching the cart. It didn't matter where John stepped after where he started.
I had the same thought and so did Ed Gamble on the taskmaster podcast. Unfortunately we didn't get an answer from Alex as to whether it would be allowed but I think you could have made a good case for it given the wording of the task.
@@aspuzling Yeah, if there's nothing in the task that says "do not cross the line" then you're good. I mean it does specifically say "starting behind the line", indicating you can cross it.
It said “place one luggage trolly a certain distance away from the line” so they never even needed to place it in front of the line. Only the player needed to be behind the line. So they could have placed it 300 meters behind the line then just walked another trolly into it
I've decided, in my mind, that every one of them at one point took a run up and then lept onto the trolley, riding the erstwhile luggage transporter device into the group of trolleys.
This did happen and I will not be convinced otherwise.
Always read the task multiple times, except the last line.
We need more contestants that actually read the task, and are clever, not all these people that blindly follow it.
Anyone else fully on the John Kearns train now? A few weeks ago I had never heard of him (US taskmaster fan here) and now I constantly think about his tasks and how much I absolutely want him to win this series when before I wanted Sarah to win.
It was good seeing John good at something and it'd probably do him some good to win, but I just want Sarah to have fun.
This is the first I've heard of US Taskmaster??? :O
I feel like Alex just wandered round Gatwick thinking "what tasks can we do here". And he did great.
They should have done (maybe they did do) chair racing. We did that in university in the middle of the night in a mostly empty academic hall. I was in school the first year of getting campus internet, and no one had thought of all of the pitfalls of letting college students loose in a large building with minimal supervision 24 hours a day. And one of the things we did during the long waits for basically anything to happen on a 1990s era computer, was chair races.
Probably a bit too dangerous.
@@anononomous It wasn't really. I think they have had tasks with rolling chairs before.
Ngl, the luggage trolley task was way more dramatic and riveting than I thought it would be when it started. Much better than the loo roll or the laminator tasks.
If they didn't take advantage of one of the passenger conveyors at some point then they really missed a great opportunity, there are so many things you can do with a long flat escalator. Hell there's so many things you could do with a regular escalator too.
@@krashd there was a task where you had to stylshly walk down a length both on a travelator and a normal floor in the closest possible time
I think this is one of my favorite tasks, up there with 'Hide 3 Aubergines' and Nish & Marks duet song.
This has to be the game I most want to play from Taskmaster.
Mine is the one at the train yard where they had to get to Alex without him seeing them. It looked like so much fun!
This one looks fun too though! :)
I was impressed with everyone on that task, they all did so well.
John Kearns didn't just win the competition that day, but our hearts also.
John is someone I think we all want to see succeed. And goddamn it he did with this task.
Start of task: "Oh come on, this is stupid."
End of task: "HE'S DONE IT! YES! YES!!"
It was stated in the very first episode, that John Kearns is an amazing shot. I shouldn't be surprised he shone in this task.
Was there anything in the task that said they couldn't just walk the 2nd trolley to the first, and then strike it? It just said you had to start behind the line.
Yeah I was thinking this as well.
Me to
It would have been nice if during the distances reveal they showed an aerial view of the area and marked the places of each contestant. I really appreciate a visual representation of results.
Same, they used to do that in earlier seasons, kinda miss the diagrams it was more fun to watch ang engage rather than figure out the numbers
@@amemelia It's easier to do aerial shots outdoors because you can use either drone footage or Google Maps, it's much more difficult to do it indoors - they would either have to create a picture of the terminal floor themselves or take as many shots of the floor from as high as they can get and then splice them all together. Neither of those things would be particularly difficult to do, it'd just be a pain in the arse doing it.
@@krashdOne long continuous shot close to the ceiling would've done the trick. No splicing or need for 50 photos.
"I still got searched"
Race card joke. Hilarious 🤔
@@richardcook1987 yes. It was hilarious
@@richardcook1987 No, he simply referenced a well known cultural phenomenon for comedy effect, and it worked. You should go to de-triggering classes, they would do you the world of good before you turn into a bitter, hate-filled old man.
The Canadian in me wishes someone had made Alex chase after the trollies with a broom yelling "HURRY HARD"!
that was the look of a man who has had his dreams validated at the end
I love how they didn't show the feet just to have it be a legal one.
This cast is GREAT! John Kerns is a treasure 🥰
Man this show is so much fun, thank you so much for sharing these with those of us across the pond :)
John kern, might be the most precious contestant since johnny vegas!
Dude, I cried some happy tears when I saw John shocked his godly attempt was legal.
Finally, The Taskmaster's take on The Trolley Problem
Yay John finally bossed a task on his own. And now, unbelievably... he's won more episodes than Noel Fielding and Morgana Robinson.
Also speaking of Morgana, was Greg's bit about not giving bonus points outside of ones that are part of the task true? If so, it was probably due to her lol
He's also won more episodes than series leader Dara.
He said the same thing in S13, so it’s true, and Morgana winning with the ‘little fucker’ point is probably the reason. And it’s not even the first time someone has won the series thanks to a bonus point
@@PonmonofNuggetor at least Josh Widdicombe earned it due to completing a pretty gruelling extra task, although in the earlier seasons they were pretty inconsistent on whether individual taskers would get a bonus point or not (not counting Mark Watson because he failed the task)
"I still got searched" is such a great line.
This took a really long time to understand the rules. But once I did, I could watch dozens of matches.
This looks like such a fun task honestly. the description is right, this is such a dream
Having watched every full task video, a new one getting uploaded is like getting a present for Christmas xD

The most satisfying task I've seen.
Love this game! I really want to have a go at it. It looks so fun I'll bet we'll see casualties at airports round the world.
So far this as been a bloody brilliant series!!!
so weird seeing a completely empty airport
I’ve never heard of land curling before, but i’m embracing this wholeheartedly
It's called Bowls when indoors and Lawn Bowls when outdoors. This is the fabled Trolley Bowls.
Actually the letter didn't specify that you can't step over the line, only that you have to start from behind it. You can start pushing it from behind the line, then push it until you hit the marked one, any distance away.
Everything about this show is positively delicious ❤️❤️❤️
This is how I'll be entertaining myself during the zombie apocalypse.
Worked 6 yr at an airport, this sport is not an abnormal thing.
8:21 Alex turning and walking away the second Munya steps forward and can't see him, so good!
This is Curling but at the airport, love it!
Next time there’s a baggage delay I know what I’ll be doing
Honestly this just seems like something I’d love to do as a child
(And would still love to do now if left alone in an empty luggage pickup terminal)
Loving this series.
Thank god for VPNs so I can watch from the States!
@2:28 Sarah should've ran with the double trolley idea, and pushed an entire row/line of them over the line, such that the trolley at the front "hit" the target but she's still pushing/controlling at the back.
"so, those dents all over the luggage belts, thats kinda not what we ment when we said you can use the airport for your show"
This challenge is exhilarating 😂❤
The trolleys at the airport where I live only move if you press the handlebars...
I thought that all trolleys were the same as ours and so I thought "this task is impossible"
So far I've seen the girls.
One of them started out pushing from the line, figured out that, from the physics point of view, it's easier to give the trolley a lot of inertia in the direction you want it to go, if you take a longer run-up (initial speed and friction matter too, but still), the other one did the whole learning process in reverse, for a legitimate-ish reason.
Love Munya!! Charming and funny.
Or cringe and unfunny as we say in the real world.
@@goldytwatus1674 Your name fits you. Are you a twat in the real world as well? My guess is yes
I think this was a great task!
'The Noel Edmonds Zone' sounds like a terrifying horror film. The thought of it gives goosebumps.
I've just watched an interview with Lewis Capaldi where he said he loves Taskmaster and he would do it if he was asked, this needs to happen!
I just read an article where he said his anti-depressants make it that he can't get a hard-on. Small world.
My immediate thought would be to try and weigh down each individual trolley attempt with bags. Dont they travel in a straight line if heavier and still carry momentum?
They certainly wouldn't do the bouncing and jumping that some did at the start
Continuing the multi-trolley strategy would have been a winner, I think. More mass equals a more stable course and longer reach. But very happy to see John succeed.
Munya is fucking hilarious.
"I still got searched."
This should be the replacement curling for when there is no ice.
The cry of the wild wolf.
"VEEEEEEE!"
I'd have been yelling, "Hurry! Hurry hard!"
I'm surprised no one thought to stack them for stability, or make a line then strike the taskmasters trolly.
Munya is my favourite contestant in a while, that getting searched joke at the beginning was elite
Couldn't they have climbed on a trolley from behind the lane, pushed yourself there and strike it once you're there? It says start from behind the line, you would've started before the line. Take a running start and jump on then direct yourself, easy
John too is one of my favourites in a long time
The fact that it turns out that John Kearns has one, very specific talent when it comes to this show, somehow does not surprise me.
IDK why, but my first read of the title went like this: "Hit One Another With A Trolley."
now I wish that had been the task.
Someone should've purposely pushed a ROW of a few trollies. A stack of trollies would have more INERTIA to keep moving forward a longer distance, and having 8, 12, 16 wheels going the same direction would keep it straighter than starting with just 4 wheels going that direction.
8:45 David Bryant lives again.
Put something super heavy on it and give it a long run up. Instant win
I've only been watching UA-cam clips of this series but this looks like one of the best ones
I am in love w Fern!!!
i just realized that the task was NOT phrased in a way that restricted you from crossing the line, and also didn't require you to ever let go of the second trolly. If someone had ran the first trolly clear across the terminal, ran back to grab a second cart and ran it all the way into the first trolly they could have gotten first place.
I have never cheered at a bunch of folks slamming trolleys into one another (at least not in situations where no one is tied onto some tracks)
Ahh, the trolly problem, classic.
"if you strike the trolly, you can MOVE THE FIRST TROLLY FURTHER AWAY".... so put the "first trolly" over the line, strike it with a second trolly. Done. Now, you can MOVE THE FIRST TROLLY further away. So just take that first trolly now, all the way across the building. You win. Nothing said you have to keep striking it over and over again to move it, just that you have to strike it, then you can move it further away.
1:55 looks so trippy
This channel is great and could only be improved by adding optional subtitles
I just would have put the first luggage trolly as far "Behind" the line as possible. Stood 2 feet away from it with another luggage trolley, still behind the line, and then slammed the two together.
Lol fern telling alex to f off, gets me everytime.
