Hey Hannah, i really appreciate you opening up more & more on your chanal. I‘ve been following you for the last year and this video felt more personal than the others. I‘m also proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone (eg. showing yourself without make up) & being more real with us. On one hand your recent videos are still so aesthetically pleasing but on the other hand so so authentic. Keep going!!
this is by far my favorite kind of video. I feel like I relate to you in so many things and I see things that are so parallel in our lives. That’s why I love watching you. Seeing you open up about your insecurity with wearing makeup really hit a fcking chord in me and brought me back to a couple years ago when I was the same exact way. I have pale skin that gets red easy, basically no eyelashes, blonde eyebrows that are essentially invisible. Lol once I stopped wearing makeup anytime I went out, I started seeing how beautiful I actually was. I’m supporting you girl. You are ridiculously beautiful and you shine more when you believe that! 💕⭐️
This is SO me! It's VERY reassuring to know that others go through this. The pandemic hit a lot of us in a hard way. You are not alone in that at all. :)
Love this sit down chat style vlog. Also totally agree with the exercise isn't always crucial to weight loss. I've lost a heap of weight recently and my main changes are smaller healthier meals, drinking water and lots of Rest! I'll work on toning once I get to a weight I like :) Love how you working on you, has a flow on effect of helping others too. Love your vlogs x
thank you for this video love! it's helped me soo much & reminded me that we all have our own things that work for us but learning about your insight can be so helpful in terms of a boost of motivation so THANK YOU!! sending so much love to everyone trying to get back into being the best version of yourself!! i love ya & you got this!
I’ve heard so many ppl quoting the mentioned podcast from Diary of a CEO (including Madeleine Olivia) and completely agree! I’ve listened to it the day it came out and really enjoyed it. Very wholesome and eye opening all whilst taking away a lot of the stress around the topic „nutrition“. Just thought I’d mention this for anyone wondering whether a 1,5h long podcast is worth it! 😊🌺
I really love your honesty and openness about everything! I had similar problems with birth control and completely lost my period for a whole year. I’m not saying all girls would experience this but I don’t recommend the pill unless you really need it. Getting off of it felt like taking my health back. 11:51
This video has helped me transition to Vegetarianism. It’s been 8 months now and I feel so much more healthier and energetic. I do believe it has to do with your blood type to truly thrive as a full-time vegan/vegetarian. If you don’t thrive in it full time, try to minimize your meat/dairy intake. Do your research on how much that should be - or even better - listen to your body. These days there’s so much misinformation, the only thing you can trust is your body’s cues.
I just discovered your channel, yay! This is just what I’ve been looking for- so positive and love the healthy lifestyle focus. Can’t wait to watch your other videos!
Hannah, you should read the book Flo Living. It's about cycle synching and the four phases of the menstrual cycles. I take adaptogens like Ashwagandha and Rhodiola to help me manage stress. L-theanine is great for when I need to focus and feel calm.
it's interesting how we're all different, before taking the pill I was extremely moody, consrant mood swings, extreme cramps and heavy bleeding and ovulation pain that felt like giving birth, ever since I've been taking the pill almost all of these symptoms disappeared. I still have bad cramps but not bedridden cramps, but I feel it a much better mental state
Honestly you probably get comments like these all the time but watching your videos like these honestly gets me excited to start exercising again, I haven’t exercised in 4 years and I’m not happy with myself, my mental health has gone down, my views on myself everything, I haven’t gained much weight to be fair, but I’ve gained enough for me to not be happy with how I look in the mirror and affect my performance, thanks for motivating me and getting me excited to look after myself again, keep up with the good work❤
I just finished Tim Spector’s Food for Life. I love his books and gut microbiome research. I’d also recommend Catherine Rogers’ book Gut Well Soon. Great video thank you
Hannah. Do you suffer from boredom leaving behind a more social lifestyle in London? I remembered you having fun with your friends. I moved to Copenhagen and sometimes struggle to cope with the boredom from leaving sunny Southern California. Thanks 😊
Hey Hannah I love watching your videos ! They are so homey and comforting and you do an excellent job of showing your side of England. I live in north Carolina in the united states but my ancestors are from Cornwall England. I will have to visit there someday ! I just wanted to say that one of our videos you mentioned how you were getting trelly tored during your period. You may want to check your iron and hemoglobin checked as your diet can affect these. I applaud you for wanting to eat healtheir and do well for your body. I personally eat a whole foods based diet which includes meat because I don’t do good on a vegan or vegetarian diet. I didn’t feel right. Anyways you have to do what is right for you. If you feel like you need meat then add some in like fish or eggs and see how you are. Everyone is different for what works for them. God bless
Hey 👋 new here!so funny recently started my fitness journey and my PT has told me to count calories. Recently discovered Tim Spector, he’s great! I consider myself a pretty clean, healthy eater however I guilt shame myself whenever I treat myself. I’ve now also discovered eating and exercising to your cycle if you’re a woman! So so So Great! Worth looking into xx💕🌈🌈🦋🦋
Hi Hannah, thank you for sharing such great content - always helpful and enlightening ❤ I had a question to ask, would you happen to know anything about SIBO and healing your gut from it so as to tolerate more of a plant based diet?
@@BethVonBlack Hi there, it was just a question to help gather insight into the experiences of others. I find that too can be useful data when seeking out professional support - helps you to consider various perspectives and seek out the missing links in your own trajectory as a result. Not always, of course, but no harm in asking. 😊
@@HannahAdkins Hannah. My hero. My love. My savior. You’re amazing, thank you. And I’m loving your new “open door” content. So much better seeing the real you! Much love.
Mine thought so too and still do. Despite that, I earned money so I could pay therapy myself and started going. Eventually they accepted it. Its your life and your mind that you're working on healing, nothing wrong with that. Nobody lives in your body with your brain and nobody can understand what you're going through so do what's best for you!
@@BethVonBlackI’ve seen changes in just 3 weeks. It’s definitely different for everyone. This person didn’t say that they were working out though. They just said they were on a deficit and doing intermittent fasting. Idk if they’re working out and if they are then it’s probably best they consult with personal healthcare professional that could lay out a plan for them
I know your heart is in the right place- but promoting plant-based and “90% whole foods” is dangerous- Everyone is different and while i morally aligned with being vegan I tried it for over a year and became very sick. It also took a mental toll because I felt strongly tied with that identity and because I had to stop due to my health it was devastating for my self esteem- I think before promoting any sort of alternative diet you need to make a disclaimer saying that you need to do your own research and give nutrition information. I was very vulnerable to youtube vegans and it was dangerous for my health
Mostly plant based diets are scientifically incredibly healthy. The Mediterranean diet, which is mostly plant based, is actually scientifically the most healthy diet in the world for health and longevity. Some people might not react well, that’s true, but to ask her not to share advice that’s scientifically backed and also shared in many other places on the internet is unreasonable. She’s not telling people to do this, she’s just sharing what worked for her. And this could inspire many people to get their lives together and it could really help some. It’s not her problem if someone decides to take her advice and has a bad reaction. It’s always advised to see your doctor before changing your eating habits in a major way. Your bad reaction is not her problem.
This comment is ridiculous. The research supports whole food veganism. No one owes you anything and your personal anecdote isnt evidnece. How many meat eaters are sick and unwell at the moment? My sister and her partner, my mum and my cousin all have cancer and all are meat eaters. Stop telling others what to do just because you have your own issues to work through
@@BethVonBlackjust slightly more. As long as she’s hitting her nutritional needs I don’t think adding calories for the sake of it is a good idea. Especially when trying to stay in a deficit

I currently eat between 700-800 calories per day, and walk 10,000 steps.
Nobody should be eating less than 1200 calories. That's unhealthy and your metabolism will decrease. Even 1200 calories are suitable for babies.
Jesus, you need more calories than that to thrive. Please eat more.
