I have the exact body type you had before- still fit/skinny, but slightly bigger arms, a little bit of extra tummy, and thicker thighs. It is so amazing to see your transformation because I never thought I could change my body and now I see that I can. Thank you!!!
I want the body she has before? I’m around 179 and my height is 4’11. So for me to have this body type would I just need to continue to lose belly fat and then use light weights and higher reps for my strength training days?
@@mariah2349you can use heavy weights building big muscle is really hard to do you won't "accidentally" get bulky lmao. Strenght trainibg builds muscle but not THAT visibly at all. You can do cardio to burn calories but also the more muscle you have the more calories you burn on daily basis . So strengh training helps you lose weight too.
@@chloet5593 hmm, I thought hat at first as well, but its about health and there was more to tap, so why not? I'm a guy at 5'4", started at 148, now 141, with a goal of 135lbs. Its a goal of only 13lbs but Its taken me ~10 weeks so far to loose just 6lbs with slip ups. Clean eating, cardio and resistance training, which I enjoy all of these things. It may not seem like much weight to most larger people, but its huge on me. Its going from ~25% body fat to 15%, so it will take time. But I've embraced the journey and love the walks and runs. Heading out now. :)
So it’s possible to change our body? Like my Body is also like hers before. But I always been told it’s genetics and I have big bones and I can’t be like her after. My dream is her after. Do you have any tips. I am strength training 4 times a week a week so hitting every muscle group 2 times a week. And eating high Protien like 100grams a day and I do cardio 3-4 times a week. I’m eating in a calorie difficult but I don’t know if the calculator I used showed my maintenance was high. I’m 16 years old and 5’3 130 pounds. Can tips for me please
Agree, and the fact behind this statement is also so sad and scary...today what many think is the point of eating is to be socially valued, taking every single thing being socially approved in a literal way and as the only truth We breathe for eating and eat for breathing ‘cause you know.. to be able to fulfill whatever activity we need to consider food as a whole and take all its possible resources, continuously . We shall feel free to eat whatever as long as we don’t neglect our health 🙏🏻🙏🏻
FINALLY!!! Someone addressed the harm in "diet, low fat, sugar fee, light..." foods! I have heard so many people choose this over that not addressing the chemicals that replaces those things.
What exactly are the chemicals, though? And what makes them bad... it can't just be that they're "chemicals" - after all, pretty much everything we consume is a chemical
@@calliehylkema6491 the “chemicals” are just additives that make it more addicting rather than the regular product. For example Splenda sugar vs regular sugar
@@calliehylkema6491 If you live in America good luck. It's a war zone. Most of the big bands have sold out the bioengineered ingredients. Omitting food dyes, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, glyphosates, GMO it's scary and exhausting.

@@alabaz2302 Well, then it isn't healthy is it? Your mindset when you have an ED is everything but healthy. Besides, when you have an ED you are actually not being healthy and nourishing your body but you're being unhealthy and starving your body of the necessary nutrition's.
So i walk around 8km (5miles) each day because of my part time job. Its been a month and i even gain weight and feel uncomfortable in my body. So that kind of walking doesn't help? I get way too tired to do anything else so good do i work out next to work?
As someone in recovery from an eating disorder, the last part about being grateful to our bodies and “you can’t hate yourself thin”, really hit me. You’re so right. I might be skinny, but I’m not healthy.
i started crying as soon as you talked about listening to your body each day to learn what exercize to do :,) my parents have always (accidentally) guilted me into feeling unhealthy just because some days im more visibly active than on others, so thank you so much for teaching with kindness and patient understanding. it means a lot

Your honesty and wise words are really what I needed to hear and will definitely use as motivation for me from now on.
If you keep it in your mind and keep trying, it becomes a habit after a while. I did it with exercise, I struggled for years but it was always on my mind as something to do, now it’s more like a habit? I’m trying to do the same with healthy eating too 😮💨

This randomly showed up on my recommendations, but this is a really great video :) especially about doing an exercise regime that works for you and there not being a one size fits all approach. People look down on me for not going to the gym, but home workouts and long walks work for me 🤷🏽♀️ the pandemic helped me realise that I don’t need to workout in a way that pleases other people, and I feel at peace with myself and my body now.

This was lovely. After long time this was the first video that doesn't bash cardio and promote lifting weights - and yes, I know why they do it, I get the science behind it. But it also makes me sad, because cardio makes me struggle at first but then it makes me feel great and it's the only thing that worked for me personally in the past, exercise wise.
“You cannot hate yourself healthy” This really stuck with me. THANK YOU Thank you for the motivation and inspiration. Your type of mindset is my goal 💕💕💕
I'm studying at the agricultural university of Greece and specifically I'm in the department of food science and human nutrition. There is one thing I'm going to say. A good diet is a diet that contains everything that is good for you. And what is that? Protein, carbohydrates, fat , vitamins, etc. What is not for you? Very very processed food as she said. Don't choose cow milk. Opt for soya milk, almond milk or goat milk. Goat products can't get very processed. Don't choose 0% fat products. They are very processed. Choose your food wisely. It's not about losing weight. It's about being healthy today , tomorrow and in 30 years from now. Be careful! Stay safe, stay healthy!
@@a_little_disquised1101 look , pasteurization is good because it kills microorganisms that may be harmful for you. However , if the cows are healthy and you boil the milk before drinking it it's way better than the milk you buy at the store.

I agree with every single thing you say and it is a message that cannot be repeated enough. I saw photos on screen of my heart and lungs when I was ill a few years ago and just suddenly thought how tiny they looked and realised they were working every second to keep me alive and I was basically doing everything I could to make things difficult for them. It was absolutely life changing. Look after your insides and the outside will take care of itself. ❤️
For exercising I think the best way to look at it is to just move your body . I think that what you said about getting burned out was important because it shows that’s it’s also important to change up your routine and try different things to make it more fun
I don't usually comment on videos, but as a teenage girl this was genuinly so helpful! Thank you for breaking the kind of "cliché" of what a workout or a healthy diet should look like that social media is so focused upon. This video really gave me a better understanding of exercise and I look forward to following your advice!
This is honestly one of the most honest video about loosing weight and healthy lifestyle ive seen. Its just so refreshing to see that its not all about 6times a week workout but a whole life change journey that we need to take. Thank you so much for this, its truly made me feel better about my body.
I am so thankful for this that it has made me cry. I am struggling with eating disorders and dysphoria and until yesterday I was looking for more advice not to eat and to be able to see my bones. I really needed to see this video, you have inspired me more than I can express. I am going to read those books and reconcile myself with my body, my mind and my spirit. infinitely thanks
i love the workout advice, its so hard to motivate myself to go to the gym on a strict schedule especially when most of the time i don't know what i am doing since i don't have a trainer. i loveeee going for workouts that my body feels like doing at a certain moment, that way it feels fun and you actually get to maximize your movement for the best results.
“im not an expert” **video proceeds to align with everything i have been taught for my undergrad nutrition degree the past 4 years**🤍 seriously love this video! the world needs more positive, helpful messages like this when it comes to health! also love that you mention sustainability because it is THE key to overall health (mental, physical, emotional, social, environmental, etc) and not enough people mention it!! 30 years of a mindful, healthy AND satisfying diet that aligns with your body’s needs is always better than strict dieting and bouncing between fad diets that hurt your mental and physical health long-term! as my favorite teacher said “eat in a way that gives you a long life but don’t look back over that long life and realize you didn’t enjoy enough wine and pasta with friends”
To anyone who's reading this: You are strong. You are beautiful. You are powerful. Remind yourself that working out is not a punishment for what you ate, but a celebration of what your body can do! I hope you have a fantastic day :))
I’ve been dealing with an eating disorder and gaining weight is such a big fear of mine so the food really was a difficult situation to deal with, glad I found this video because now I can maybe start to warm up to food again, and maybe it would change my energy overtime. Losing hair and feel like I’m gonna faint all the time is not fun. Thank you for this video
i would recommend getting your inbody done! it will tell you your body fat and muscle. i still deal w my ed and i get scared with the number on the scale but now i am focus on getting my body fat number lowered and muscle high. You must eat in order to do so. it really helped
I hated my body at 22% body fat and I weighed 115. I now weigh 140 and my body fat % is 17% and I LOVE my body. My stomach is flat my arms and collarbones look amazing and on top of that I can eat whatever I want. Which previously i had cornered myself with orthorexia. It felt like every food was bad. And the only thing i was okay with eating was vegetables. But not carby vegetables (carbs were bad) Sometimes Meat. Because some nutritionist had said meat was bad. Never pasta. Never bread. Never nuts (too much fat) never fruit (too much sugar) and I would stand in front of my pantry just lost and starving and angry and confused. But I started eating protein, to gain muscle, started working out (just bought a kettle bell for my house and started doing arm workouts and leg workouts lunges squats back lunges) and realizing that my body converted the whole food I ate to muscle. To energy. To thicker hair. Strong nails. Please don’t be scared of food 💕
@@leighannachavez6683 that's terrible advice the point of recovery is to have a healthy body and mind again obsessing about your fat and muscle percentage is not healthy for your mind at all
The whole section about being grateful for our bodies and all that they do for us really hit hard for me. I've been having a ton of health issues, and there were days where I didn't go to school just because of how bad it hurt to walk. I was really depressed and constantly focused on what I lack, but I think there's always things to be grateful for.
THANK YOU for being REAL and SERIOUS about HEALTH. I've been seeing sooooo many videos about the super trendy (not real) "that girl", which never convinced me, and nobody is telling the truth behind it (doing just for followers or hiding how to have a better/healthy routine)! TY
I totally agree with you on a regimented fitness program. I have no interest whatsoever in splits, following strict HIIT routines, lifting weights on a regular basis, etc; What actually works for me is jumping rope every day. I absolutely love it because it burns efficient calories and its great for your lymphatic system. In addition to jumping rope, some days I incorporate 3-4 mile fast walking, some light and limited strength training and also enjoy doing pilates and going roller skating on the weekends. I really like dancing to my favorite throw back JUST DANCE videos once a week then I'm done!! I work out faithfully 3 weeks out of the month, then take off the last week so I don't burn out. I went from 194lb down to 142lbs in a very short amount of time and this fitness program helps me to maintain my weight, tone and sculp my body. Fitness for me must include doing the things that make me honestly happy and bring joy to my life.
This is so inspirational to me. I'm on recovery from anorexia and this was just a whole new vision of food and body image to me. Thank you! I really really really really appreciate this.
I usually get bored watching these videos because they don’t get straight to the point and therefore become confusing however this video was so interesting and helpful thank you so much gorgeous!! Plus this was a very real and not an unrealistic video which is perfect because being honest and sharing helpful tips and info was probably what I liked the best about this. I’ve subbed btw because this is one of the first real and honest videos I’ve seen ❤️
I was expecting this to be "just another lose weight" video, but when you said you work out as a thank you to your body, that was actually life changing for me. And that puts this above other videos like that. From now on I, if I'm feeling too old, too sick, too whatever to work out, I'll ask myself how I can thank my body for everything it does for me. Thank you for this!!!
you are absolutely brilliant. something special in your videos honestly, there’s no stupid diet talk, or macro talk, or even talk about ‘feeling comfortable the way you are’. sometimes you want to change for the better; you want to improve your skin, your mindset, your immunity to illness etc. i love every aspect of this, it’s so realistic yet you’re still setting goals.
“How Not to Die” is in my top 5 for lifestyle. Number 1 is “The Obesity Code” by Dr Jason Fung. I’ve never even been overweight but that book clearly explains how the human body gains, and loses, weight.
The obesity code is also one of my favourite books. Next on my list of books to listen to is how not to die. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint. I have high hopes for it
relatable to what she been through. I started working out by the age of 18. since then I've been doing HIIT and weight lifting programs thinking it's the only work out that'll help me less the healthy diet. went to the gym almost all the time up to the point I hated it and lost motivation. by the age 25 I started slowing it down and being gentle to my body, I stopped lifting heavier weights and focused on low impact. I'm 26 now and I'm so in love with pilates and 2-3x jogging a week. I started rediscovering my own body and my peace of mind. reconnecting them together and making sure they're both being taken care off. I started learning nutrients and consuming what my body needs. I just wanna say that every tips she gave are on point and true.
Whenever I read the label low fat I run the opposite direction. I love my carbs, proteins and fat … I will never compromise on my eating because I have tried it and it sucks. Took me almost 3-4 years to realise that I can have a balanced diet and still reach my ideal body type . Just have the regular home cooked meals and do the exercises which makes you feel good .. that’s all I do
"Take the time to genuinely appreciate everything that your body does for you...outside of what it looks like..." - Hannah Adkins Hit hard. Great reminder. Thank you, Hannah
Immediately knew this would be good when you started off by saying absolutely nothing wrong with how my body looks here. Wish more people thought like that. Their life in terms of health and fun experiences.
This is the best video. The pandemic “glow up” added some toxicity to the fitness/beauty industry with young people wrecking their bodies with way too much exercise and disturbing focus on beauty standards and being skinny. I’m healthy and fit, but still stuck in the 6 day a week routine after missing out on the gym for basically a year, but this is inspiring to me too and I’m grateful you made this for so many people. The best message I’ve heard on health, wellness and fitness ❤️
This is exactly what I needed to hear at this point in my life. I've been struggling to keep a positive mindset, I'm always paranoid about gaining weight but then being "skinny" doens't make me happy either. A bar of cookie sends me on a guilt trip... Guess all I need to do is listen to my body and treat it the way it deserves to be treated.
I love the most the part where you advise us to feel grateful for our body for all the fundamental functioning tasks it does EVERY SINGLE DAY to keep us alive instead of criticizing, hating, or blaming! I will note down from tomorrow onwards giving myself a HUG (weird, yeah, but why not) every time I am about or have just done something UNKIND to myself (especially those self-criticizing thoughts)! I'm so glad UA-cam recommended this video of yours and thankful that I opened it :) It's just very good timing and your message instantly clicks for me! I hope MORE AND MORE people can watch this to learn something new and benefit from this.
LOVE the emphasis about the importance of proper nutrition! As a nutrition & dietetics student, I can also say that people around the world need to be enlightened/EDUCATED about these things. Thank you for this 🤍
Girl I love the way you’re talking. You are genuinely making me see it all clearer now, this video is very helpful and motivating, and you’re giving me really great vibes lol. Thank you sm💕💕
Your attitude about movement and exercise and how it has changed during the pandemic - I’ve become the exact same way. I used to put more pressure on myself to do really intense HIIT workouts all the time, thinking that that was how I was going to lose weight the quickest. Now, I also do the exact same as you where I wake up in the morning and think, “Okay, what am I feeling up for today?” 9 times out of 10 I always do SOME kind of exercise or movement, whereas before if I didn’t feel like doing something intense, I’d just give up on doing any form of exercise that day. I look back now and realize how ridiculous that was to put so much pressure on myself! It’s great to see this kind of advice being put out there!
The workout part really got me - since covid started I did hiit home workouts almost everyday, it was a lot of fun to me and I felt GREAT. Then around may my hayfever started kicking in and I couldn't sustain my routine anymore, I barely could breathe. I stopped and lost most of my progress. I now want to start working out again - but even though I still love hiit most of the days, some days I do not feel like it. I now will try to do more gentle workouts or just go for walks and not mentally punish myself for not being able to do it on this on that specific day.
so helpful and it's refreshing to not see yet another youtuber or influencer trying to push some diet or weight burning tea but show and talk about the truth on how changing our mindset about our bodies, the way we think about ourselves is somuch more important, if we love ourselves and treat ourselves kindly we're doing good things for ourselves too, like working out and generally taking care of ourselves in every aspect.
Thank you for appreciating your health. As someone who got severely ill as a kid it always upsets me when young people don't even think twice about it.
I couldn’t have seen this video at a better time. I’ve been working out for about a year, since COVID started, and I’ve had many trial and errors. I’ve gone through a “calorie deficit” phase, only that I wasn’t really counting calories just eating less, and while it was good in the beginning, I felt my body plateaued. Now I’m trying to eat more food and change my mindset on that food is not the enemy. The video is truly amazing and it honestly made me feel 10x better about this rough patch in my fitness 💛💛

@@mariah2349you can use heavy weights building big muscle is really hard to do you won't "accidentally" get bulky lmao. Strenght trainibg builds muscle but not THAT visibly at all. Agree, and the fact behind this statement is also so sad and scary...today what many think is the point of eating is to be socially valued, taking every single thing being socially approved in a literal way and as the only truth
We breathe for eating and eat for breathing ‘cause you know.. to be able to fulfill whatever activity we need to consider food as a whole and take all its possible resources, continuously . We shall feel free to eat whatever as long as we don’t neglect our health 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Agree with everything you said!☺️
Where I live we get unpasteurised cow milk that’s not at all processed, is that better?
@@a_little_disquised1101 look , pasteurization is good because it kills microorganisms that may be harmful for you. However , if the cows are healthy and you boil the milk before drinking it it's way better than the milk you buy at the store.

For exercising I think the best way to look at it is to just move your body . I think that what you said about getting burned out was important because it shows that’s it’s also important to change up your routine and try different things to make it more fun
I don't usually comment on videos, but as a teenage girl this was genuinly so helpful!
I absolutely LOVE that quote from your teacher, that’s what life’s all about ❤️

i would recommend getting your inbody done! it will tell you your body fat and muscle. i still deal w my ed and i get scared with the number on the scale but now i am focus on getting my body fat number lowered and muscle high.

The whole section about being grateful for our bodies and all that they do for us really hit hard for me. I've been having a ton of health issues, and there were days where I didn't go to school just because of how bad it hurt to walk. I was really depressed and constantly focused on what I lack, but I think there's always things to be grateful for.

❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment 🥺❤️
“How Not to Die” is in my top 5 for lifestyle. Number 1 is “The Obesity Code” by Dr Jason Fung. I’ve never even been overweight but that book clearly explains how the human body gains, and loses, weight.
Omg can you share what the other 3 are?
The obesity code is also one of my favourite books. Next on my list of books to listen to is how not to die. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint. I have high hopes for it

Why Isn’t My Brain Working by Dr Datis Kharrazian
relatable to what she been through.
I've never worked out in my life, I'm almost 22 and I'm planning to start my journey to become healthy and strong. I'm so glad I found this video
Whenever I read the label low fat I run the opposite direction. I love my carbs, proteins and fat … I will never compromise on my eating because I have tried it and it sucks. Took me almost 3-4 years to realise that I can have a balanced diet and still reach my ideal body type . Just have the regular home cooked meals and do the exercises which makes you feel good .. that’s all I do
"Take the time to genuinely appreciate everything that your body does for you...outside of what it looks like..." - Hannah Adkins
Hit hard. Great reminder. Thank you, Hannah
This was such a refreshing way of looking at what we eat, and how we take care of our bodies. So great
🥰❤️
Immediately knew this would be good when you started off by saying absolutely nothing wrong with how my body looks here. Wish more people thought like that. Their life in terms of health and fun experiences.
☺️💛💛
the self love part of the video literally changed the way I view myself thank you sm hannah omg
Guess all I need to do is listen to my body and treat it the way it deserves to be treated.

yess when you do exercise you enjoy, you won’t have to push yourself to do it, you will just do it! and then that will definitely give you results!
I love this so much!!! Thank you 🥰❤️
LOVE the emphasis about the importance of proper nutrition! As a nutrition & dietetics student, I can also say that people around the world need to be enlightened/EDUCATED about these things. Thank you for this 🤍
Thank you!!!💛
Girl I love the way you’re talking.
I love that!!🥰
FINALLY, a realistic UA-camr who gives REAL advice and doesn’t make me buy a program❤️
🏃♀ Your journey to finding joy in movement is so inspiring! The idea of mixing up workouts and finding what you truly enjoy is brilliant. 🙌💪
I now will try to do more gentle workouts or just go for walks and not mentally punish myself for not being able to do it on this on that specific day.
so helpful and it's refreshing to not see yet another youtuber or influencer trying to push some diet or weight burning tea but show and talk about the truth on how changing our mindset about our bodies, the way we think about ourselves is somuch more important, if we love ourselves and treat ourselves kindly we're doing good things for ourselves too, like working out and generally taking care of ourselves in every aspect.
changing your mindset is so important, and so is this video! you’re an angel for this. thank you 💝
Thank you for appreciating your health. As someone who got severely ill as a kid it always upsets me when young people don't even think twice about it.
❤️
I couldn’t have seen this video at a better time. I’ve been working out for about a year, since COVID started, and I’ve had many trial and errors. I’ve gone through a “calorie deficit” phase, only that I wasn’t really counting calories just eating less, and while it was good in the beginning, I felt my body plateaued. Now I’m trying to eat more food and change my mindset on that food is not the enemy. The video is truly amazing and it honestly made me feel 10x better about this rough patch in my fitness 💛💛
that makes me so happy!☺️💛
