"Don’t think about food in terms of what it can do to make you look a certain way, but think of it as showing gratitude to your body." That is really beautiful. I had never though of it that way.
i 100% agree with 12:39. I had the mindset of losing weight to look like certain people on social media and when i didn't see results i started forming such an unhealthy relationship with working out, food and my body. I then started doing P.E as a subject and i changed my mindset to being fit and healthy so i can continue with the subject for my O levels because i enjoy it so much. I have been so happy with my body these days, i even started being able to see people on social media and compliment them without comparing myself to them.
Love this simple happy enjoyable and holistic view of health and fitness, I’m transitioning towards a plant based diet and I feel so amazing taking care of the planet and animals just by eating ! Everything just seems to align : health, pleasure, people, animals, planet...

OMLL SAMEEE i was scrolling while listening and then looked at the video and her sister was talking i was so shocked 😂. I think the sister’s voice is a little bit deeper if that makes sense but they sound SOOOO SIMILAR!!!
Thank you for this. So much opinions and toxic messages are out there, so to have someone actually talk about mindfulness and listening to one’s own body is so refreshing. Really appreciate you both being honest about what works for you rather than try to force your opinion.
"don't think about food in terms of what it can do to make you look a certain way, but think of it as showing gratitude to your body." I love the way you talk about food and the importance of keeping a healthy relationship with food. 🤍🤍
This has to be my favorite vid of yours so far! The full day of eating for both of you would be really interesting. Or even a part two with more tips! Also I would love a full day of eating/working out video for while you're on your period if that's not too personal. I would love to see if how you eat changes along with what exercise you do.
Just want to add some info re FODMAP - it isn’t/shouldn’t be a “diet” as such that you’d stick to long term. It’s meant to be a process, monitored closely by a dietitian, whereby food groups are eliminated then carefully reintroduced in order to try and work out what foods are causing symptoms. That can then help determine if you need to eliminate any food groups for good (e.g. gluten). It’s almost impossible to do FODMAP elimination alone because it’s intended to be a super meticulous process to identify reactions from certain foods. ❤ Love the points raised in this video so much 🎉
I loved this video! It’s been a little over a week since I started my pescatarian diet and I’ve been loving the mental and physical clarity it’s giving me. I love that you guys had a healthy way of making this big shift.
As soon as i saw your sis i was like twins?! haha you both are glowing and gorgeous literally shining within. I am vegan and i am so happy to see what this change in mindset and lifestyle is doing for you both thanks for sharing I hope this will help others to make the better change in how we are suppose to fuel our bodies!
Thank you so much for mentioning the transition period! I’ve recently switched to a plant based diet after being vegetarian for 12years and I’m currently experiencing bloating and “ibs” like symptoms. I’m glad to hear my body will adapt and settle down! Looking forward to my new lifestyle (I’ve already noticed a difference in my skin!) and loving your channel - it’s a big help! 🖤

Great video girls! I followed a very similar path and dropped 120lbs. Covid threw me off a bit and I’m working at sorting out my daily wellness and nutrition practice. Your video helped me realize I’m still doing the right things. 💛
I love this channel so much. I discovered you less than a month ago, and i started reading How Not To Die, and i decided to go completely plant based. I love being plant based, it opens up so many options i didn't know existed and foods i love but had never tried! I am still struggling to make the transition of mindset from aesthetic goals to living a better and healthier life, but i'm getting there, any tips would be great. keep doing what you're doing, this is such a great help. ❤️🌱
1:10 to add onto this point, your body is unique and you genetically have a smaller waist, larger glute muscles. People need to not only focus on their own personal journey with food and exercise but they have to be realistic as well as far as their bone structure and genetic makeup goes.
@@HannahAdkins oh for sure you can build glutes from exercise. I definitely have as well lol. But it also has a lot to do with genetics too. Some people just don’t have the body shape for big glutes and that’s perfectly fine.
I don’t think people realize HOW MUCH FOOD IMPACTS YOUR LIFE. Either for good or for bad. I love food and I’m also striving for a better life to feel good and look good(in my eyes). When I eat healthy, I feel amazing, my skin clears, I don’t hold water weight, I stress less about everything, I have energy and I feel confident in moving forward. When I eat bad, I feel blah, I don’t want to get up, I stay up late and wake up late, I have no energy, I get acne, I retain lots and lots of water and yeah, all that “fun” stuff lmao
I really like how you said that consider eating as a way to show gratitude to your body. While I think it’s fine to eat “processed food” from time to time, I also agree that food should be considered a gift to your body providing fuel, energy, happiness and pleasure. Thank you for such a beautiful sentiment.
Absolutely LOVED this video! Please do a dual what I eat in a day, would love to see that. I’ve transitioned to a plant based lifestyle and for the first time I’m losing weight but also feeling fantastic. I’ve got loads of energy now. I still have a long road ahead but you’ve certainly helped to show me how to put the LIFE in the lifestyle 🥰
You guys are angels!! Thanks for sharing and being so real. I just went to a natural path and now need to go dairy and gluten free and I feel very discouraged but this is inspiring
Thank you so much. I have struggled for a while with going from completely healthy and working out to just giving up and eating so much rubbish and binging. For a few months now I've been in that draining 2nd stage but now decided to make a change for good!! I just bought some soya milk and am reducing animal based foods (I'm already veggie), started working out again (in a healthier mindset) and doing my best to eat healthy (still not perfect, but I'm growing). This has motivated me to do better, thank you!!! I'm excited to see what happens xx
Thank you so much for sharing both of your experiences of having a plant-based diet! I have been inspired by your previous videos to eat more plant-based foods and picked up reading 'How not to die'. It's honestly really eye-opening how food can change your life. I'll keep working on improving my overall diet by having more whole foods and veg. All the best to everyone who is trying to make a positive change to their health!
I remember a time when I was eating so well that anything other than clean food just wasn’t worth it. The bloat, the fatigue, the overall feeling- it just sucked! Lol. When you are fueling your body right, the way you FEEL is so much better than cheating with a Big Mac! Just not worth it! I’m slowly getting there again.
This video came at the perfect time for me! I’ve set a goal for myself to try being vegetarian for a month, and not include as much eggs/dairy in my diet to see how I feel. Day 1 is done ❤️ I found your channel a few weeks ago and love all your content!!
I love this video. I'm also plant based and have been for around 2 years. I'm struggling to adjust to a new routine atm, but realised that getting fitter and losing weight all comes with listening to my body, rather than trying to force a fitness routine I don't enjoy and isn't working for me. So much science isn't focused around women bodies and how much the time of the month can influence hormones, and thus how we eat and workout. I've started reading "Women, Food & Hormones" by Dr Sara Gottfried and "Ultra-Processed People" by Chris van Tulleken which has really helped me to reflect on how I am living. A lot of what people consume, isn't natural or normal but has become accepted because of the type of society we live in, and it's a real problem that needs to be addresses.
i’m currently doing the beginning of what you went through! i’ve noticed so much of a difference after taking red meat and dairy and realizing that i have plenty of food allergies and also doing the FODMAP diet since i have ibs but i’m not sure if i should or not now since it usually gives me a stomach ache. but i’m definitely getting better through the process!
Literally I clicked on this video spontaneously and I looked at their skin and now I am about to ritualize this lifestyle bc I want to be healthy and live myself like they seem to!!! ❤
fermented foods made the biggest difference for me. I am now back to the weight I was before weight loss So pretty close to 20 lbs heavier but I feel so good. I lift and I am training for a half marathon. My nails and hair are thick and I eat primarily protein and I love fermented foods I make my own bread and kombucha and (I am a dairy eater) I am looking to make my own kefir soon! I pickle my dads farm fresh eggs and am hoping to learn to make my own everything fermented someday! Favorite food at the moment is jalapeño pickled mushrooms lol
I feel that! every time I start to eat healthier again… I reach a certain point where processed foods don’t even taste good, let alone they don’t make u feel great a couple hours later! I don’t know that I’ll ever switch 💯 to a plant based “diet” but I do think a majority of what we eat should be homegrown and come from the earth, and or home baked!
Loved this video 🥰 Just had a quick question, when you went plant based, were there any vitamins or supplements you started taking to make sure you got all your nutrients?
Loved this video and definitely can resonate with so much of what you both talked about! My only thing that I wanted to mention, especially for other people in the comments about to read the book recommendations you both gave, that the book "Superlife" that your sister mentioned is FILLED with tons and tons of misinformation thrown with random scientific articles to make it seem like it is proving his point. I am only mentioning this as a biomedical science graduate and current medical student, a lot of the science he mentions in the book is not accurate and a lot of his evaluations are massive fear-mongering and misinformation. I highly encourage anyone to avoid this book and just physically research articles on health and nutrition published and peer reviewed in reputable journals with large sample sizes (no, not from blogs or your favorite influencers). "How Not to Die," on the other hand, is a very interesting read and written by a medical professional, so the science and articles quotes are accurate, I would just be wary of biases when reading any book, and for this book in particular it is heavily biased towards promoting veganism (not saying that's a bad thing at all, but also just wanted to mention that it is not the only type of diet that you can have and be extremely healthy- actually the one diet that we learn in medical school during our nutrition intensive that has the most consensus in published research to be one of the most healthiest diets is the Mediterranean Diet- which includes cheeses and fish). I just wanted to post this here so that everyone reading can be informed and make informed choices regarding their health and lifestyles! Good luck to everyone!
It is all great and stuff, however it is a fact that some people reach better results than the other simply due to genetics. I also eat healthy and workout consistently but such body image would be simply unattainable for me (believe me, I tried hard) as well as for many other women. I just think it’s important to remind ourselves that we should not compare our bodies to others’ bodies and also that sometimes diet & sport is just not enough to be skinny, and it’s okay. It shouldn’t be about the body, it should be only about being happy.
Just have to say that, your sister and you are such natural beautys 💕. Thanks for giving an insight on how you two think of food. I'm beating myself up so often about thinking too much of how it will change my body...😥 Love you, love this Video already so much, 'cause I'm sure it will help me. So all my love for you two🙌❤
Couldn’t agree more with this approach! I get asked if my diet is restrictive too! But I just think of it as trying to get all the main protein and nutrients I need in the day to keep me energised. Great video!!
If you're reading this comment, one small positive thought can change your whole day & believe you can and you’re halfway there ✨. God bless you, and may your dreams come true, stay safe and have a wonderful day.
I am so glad I found this video. Thank you, Hannah and Sophie! You girls shared exactly the principles that I hold: to measure food in terms of its value for our body and to do the type of workout we feel like doing for the day. Such an amazing sharing. In the past two years, I have been trying to live a healthier lifestyle by eating a dominantly plant-based diet and exercising more often. My journey has not been a smooth one but I choose to not give up and continue learning about what and how I should eat on a plant-based diet and exercise to achieve my body goals.
Question about workout. Are there other youtubers you guys follow when you do yoga or pilates workout? How long does your workout tend to be in a day? I understand it depends on the day, but I'm curious to know what the norm is for you guys! Thanks!
You both supplement iron, vitamin b12 and during the winter months in the UK vitamin D. That's great! Please don't forget to take a Multi Vitamin with Minerals every day or every few days.
When you speak about your plant-based diet it makes sense. How it works for you and how you feel about it makes sense to me. I am not plant-based but over the years I have considered it. The problem for me has been the few individuals I know who are plant based still struggle with body image, weight gain and vitamin deficiency. They didn’t do their homework. It never made sense to me that they’re putting this effort in for little to no outcome. You are proof that you can maintain this lifestyle, fairly easily, and thrive. Do you find that you need supplements? My friend from India grew up vegetarian, she also excludes eggs and gluten. She is now experiencing eyesight issues. Her doctor says it is diet related. She eats very well balanced and I haven’t heard of any correlation between the two. Thank you for the video:)
I am someone who does enjoy eating meat (mainly chicken, rarely red meat), and a lot of the cuisine that I enjoy generally has a lot of meat in it i.e. Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, etc. I am aware of the environmental impacts and cruelty that comes with farming en mass and have always tried to go for plant-based options but sometimes I really miss eating meat and the actual feeling I get, if that makes sense, like I feel full after eating something with meat in it. So my question is (sorry for the little ramble) when you changed to eating plant-based did you ever feel like that and did you change slowly as in cut out certain meats first and slowly change to plant-based options (I can't remember if you already mentioned this sorry)? The second question is I've been struggling with developing a vegan/vegetarian dumpling recipe that is really filling and yummy, do you have a recipe you could recommend? I love your videos, I started watching them a few months ago and they've been a big inspiration and help.
Its easy cut out sugar, and processed foods. Stay off spinage, cocoa, and almonds which are high in oxilates. After this its just a question of listening to your body to spot allergies and washing vegs to get rid of chemicals.
They literally just said they have spinach in the fridge. There’s nothing wrong with oxalates. Spinach and almonds are extremely healthy. Cocoa of course contains caffeine, whose health effects are debated, but otherwise it’s packed with minerals.
Both of you look so beautiful and healthy so that is enough for us to follow your advice 👌👍🍀Personally I think that Sophie would be welcomed here.🤗 Eagerly waiting for yout next video 😍❤
I dont know if this was mentioned, but if you do decide to go plant based please see a nutritionist or doctor so they can tell you what supplements to get. There are nutrients that are vital for humans (iron/vitamin b-12/omega 3s/etc) that unfortunately are not in a plant based diet so you have to supplement if you dont eat any meat/fish.
Every time I try to go plant based I fail 😔 I love the concept but it is just hard when you cook for other people (family) and they are not interested on this lifestyle… but I love the idea… thank you so much for sharing 💗
This came to me at such an important time in my life. Last year I was eating more plant based but I really went off track and now I’m in recovery from laparoscopic surgery and reducing inflammation is my number one priority for life long results. Thank you for helping me get back to the basics of this lifestyle change that I know it’s going to help my body get back to a healthy state
Been supporting now for 3 weeks and I have to say that you have allowed me to feel such a positive change in my body. Loving it whole heartedly and eating whole foods that makes me feel happy. Balance is key ✨✨✨
Sameeeee literally I try to get everything that I need, and not harm myself with foods that are not healthy, but I don't restrict myself, I literally eat pastries now and then, too. But mostly healthy because I want to give myself love and take care of my body, I love this♥️🌈🌼🌄

Good luck to everyone!
love this. showing gratitude to your body with the foods we choose
I'm beating myself up so often about thinking too much of how it will change my body...😥
Love you, love this Video already so much, 'cause I'm sure it will help me.
So all my love for you two🙌❤
Oh thank you so much my girl!!!💛 please remember you’re perfect just how you are xxxx
Yesssss. Except Sophie speaks slower and her voice is a bit deeper.
you’re both so beautiful omggg💗
That’s so sweet, thank you ❤️
I really loved this video! I’m wondering if anyone has any nutrition podcast to recommend
Couldn’t agree more with this approach! I get asked if my diet is restrictive too! But I just think of it as trying to get all the main protein and nutrients I need in the day to keep me energised. Great video!!
I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH TYSM FOR THIS 💗💗💗💗💗

If you're reading this comment, one small positive thought can change your whole day & believe you can and you’re halfway there ✨. God bless you, and may your dreams come true, stay safe and have a wonderful day.
I am so glad I found this video. Thank you, Hannah and Sophie! You girls shared exactly the principles that I hold: to measure food in terms of its value for our body and to do the type of workout we feel like doing for the day. Such an amazing sharing. In the past two years, I have been trying to live a healthier lifestyle by eating a dominantly plant-based diet and exercising more often. My journey has not been a smooth one but I choose to not give up and continue learning about what and how I should eat on a plant-based diet and exercise to achieve my body goals.
wow you just continue to inspire me i love each of your videos they never bore or tire me, please keep making more!
🥺🥺 thank you!!❤️
the chocolate bar comment is sooooo real!!!! Love it 🎉
Question about workout.
I SO NEEDED THIS 🧡
you girls should make a recipe book
Haha maybe one day!!!💛
THANK YOU! This video was so great and helpful! Please share more 🧡
When you speak about your plant-based diet it makes sense.
Love all your videos Hannah. And your healthy approach to all things health and fitness. Great content, thank you
I am someone who does enjoy eating meat (mainly chicken, rarely red meat), and a lot of the cuisine that I enjoy generally has a lot of meat in it i.e.
Could you do a grocery store haul video and share your grocery list?
And thank you for sharing! I’m so inspired!
Ladies, I love your accent. I’m from Brooklyn New York and we all have our accents but I keep coming back to your channel just to hear you speak😂😂😂
thank you for all this info, girls. very helpful
Love this video, I'm definitely motivated 💞💞
SIDE NOTE: you guys are beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much ☺️
Both of you look so beautiful and healthy so that is enough for us to follow your advice 👌👍🍀Personally I think that Sophie would be welcomed here.🤗 Eagerly waiting for yout next video 😍❤
Oh thank you so much!!❤️ I’m excited for Sophie’s channel ☺️
@@HannahAdkins I:'ve just folllowed and subscried her.🤞🍀
Loved this! ❤️
It’s not the animal foods it’s the proccessed foods
Agreed
You two need a podcast!
SO GOOD! Recently i’ve gone plant based and completely agree with all of this! This video is so helpful thank you! 🫶🏼
Inspirational stuff. The results don't lie.
I don't know about anyone else but I have been ready for Fall already! 😁💕
Every time I try to go plant based I fail 😔 I love the concept but it is just hard when you cook for other people (family) and they are not interested on this lifestyle… but I love the idea… thank you so much for sharing 💗
Cook tasty veganized version of food they love.
If youre the one cooking they should appreciate what healthy tasty food you make for them or they should learn to cook for themselves...lol
That makes me so happy to hear 🥰💛
Obsessed with all your videos 😍🔥
🥺🥺❤️❤️
This video helped me more than I realized! Thank u!!!! (btw where is your grey tank top from?)
Sameeeee literally I try to get everything that I need, and not harm myself with foods that are not healthy, but I don't restrict myself, I literally eat pastries now and then, too. But mostly healthy because I want to give myself love and take care of my body, I love this♥️🌈🌼🌄
I have a hard time finding a vegan yogurt that’s not loaded with sugar and has enough protein. Any suggestions?
just wanted to say- you both have really nice voices 😇
Oh thank you ☺️
2 of the best people! 😁
☺️☺️☺️☺️
Two amazing people !!
Thanks Nathan!!😇☺️
Going plant based is the best thing I ever did 4 years ago. Never going back to my old ways.
Okay but like they sooo gorgeous 🖤
Thank you, for sharing your healthy eating lifestyle. It is inspiring me to eat healthier again x
