    I stopped drinking pre-bagged tea ever since I learned of all the microplastics found in the bags, even from my favorite organic bleach-free brands. There are plastics in all of them. So I just made the switch to loose leaf and bought a little tea press.

    Ive just started taking Magnesium too. I was suffering terrible migraine with visual aura a few days before my period and then a dull headache when I ovulate. I was weary at first to take it but omg it has made such a difference. It really is a great vitamin.

    I recently learned the best avocado peel hack!! Cut in half, discard seed. Then flip green side down and gently cut away the top middle ridge of peel like you would an orange. That leaves two side bits, and you can literally just peel them off!! You then get all of the avocado, and don’t have to scoop out or make cuts with it in your hand!! Dr. Shereen ellis on UA-cam demonstrates it!

    Yum, my kind of food! I'm not a nutritionist but it's best to take vitamins with meals as some are better absorbed with fat and there are interactions between nutrients. Also, Vegetology have some nice stuff and really good info on what to pair with different vitamins to aid absorption. It says on their website their products are organic where relevant as well! 💚

      Honey is absolutely not vegan as honey bees are farmed and nests are often culled.

    • @claire28748
      @claire28748 9 місяців тому

      @@SaintOrCinema Hi! I work with bees and just so you know it is very uncommon for hives to be culled. The only reason would be if the hive is infected with a parasite and it is at risk of being spread to other hives. I was vegan for a long time and was very anti honey, but since going back to school and working with a beekeeping program and taking classes on the biology of honeybees I now eat honey. There's a lot of misinformation spread about beekeeping but the reality is that beekeepers have to take very good care of their bees or the bees leave, they are not like other livestock that is stuck. And most of the bee industry is pollination services, and for these services beekeepers are paid per bee in a hive, so any bee death threatens their livelihood.

    I'm so glad you talked about the importance of protein! As a nutrition coach, I've found that most women struggle to get enough protein in their diet, and it's so crucial for maintaining muscle mass, bone density, hormone production etc...and when you're plant based, it definitely takes extra effort/awareness to meet your needs, so thank you for speaking on that topic. (If you're looking for other protein powder options, Sprout Living has great organic vegan options - no weird ingredients and super tasty!)
    And that turmeric broth looks SO good, I will be trying that for sure :)

    It’s up to you but tins shouldn’t be put it the fridge once they’re opened, the metal can leach into the food inside the can. Also I love the food you eat, your meals always look delicious however for most of us organic/ health foods are costly option that I personally can’t afford especially having a big family to feed. It’s a shame cheaper foods are either junk foods or not as nutritious for us as the more expensive organic whole foods are!

    • @LJP0212
      @LJP0212 Рік тому

      I agree with what you’re saying but I’d still love to be able to choose organic food over non to feed my family but budget wise I can’t. That’s such a shame, non of us should be eating foods covered in chemicals wealthy or not!

    • @KWilliams22
      @KWilliams22 Рік тому

      @@LJP0212 check with your local farms...sometimes they don't use pesticides but can't afford to go through the process of officially registering as organic as its super expensive etc. You might get organic food at normal prices 🙏

    hi hannah i always love your videos and the calming vibes. I also always like to buy organic/no GMO & unflavoured protein powders to help up my protein as a veggie. I'd highly recommend 'Nutrizing' pea protein and 'the healthy tree co' pea protein, both are unflavoured and organic, pea still has a slightly earthy taste but no way near as strong as hemp. you're looking for other vegan protein powders. Alphafoods also do an unflavoured protein powder, whilst its not organic its really good quality and well sourced ingredients, its uses a mix of plant proteins and has such the lightest, creamy texture i've come across so far and i think i must have tried at least 10 different brands by now 🙃. And i promise last thing, try adding a heaped teaspoon of protein powder to your yogurt, if you add honey anyway it won't make it earthy but will up the protein by like 10g and it gives lush cheesecake vibes xx sorry for the ramble!

    Please could you explain why you said you’re comfortable eating honey? I know that you’re not vegan, you’re mostly plant based from what I can gather as you eat honey and also wear animal skin in your fashion. I’m genuinely interested as I am vegan but I am looking for natural alternatives to artificial sweeteners as I’ve been having reactions to Splendas and aspartame.

    • @claire28748
      @claire28748 9 місяців тому

      I know this is late but I have done work in the bee industry so I'd like to offer some insight! There's a lot of misinformation spread about the treatment of honeybees, but the truth is that bees are not harmed in the ways other livestock animals are. For one, bees are not tethered to a hive, so if their ideal conditions aren't met they will leave. And for honey production, bees need to be in optimal health to produce excess honey for harvest, so beekeepers are motivated to keep the hive as healthy as possible for the best honey production. And most of the money in the bee industry comes from pollination services, where beekeepers move their hives to flowering fields to pollinate crops. For these services, beekeepers are paid per bee in a hive, so big, healthy hives pay significantly more, incentivising proper treatment of the bees. I used to be vegan and believed it when people said honey production was unethical, but after working with bees myself and seeing the industry first hand I no longer believe this to be true and now eat honey.
