Took the same one off the sides of mine.I put up black as well.Got the rear and front Chevy logo bow tie’s in black. The taillights I got the smoked and the 3rd brake light.Your car look great and the paint shines with the gloss of a diamond 💎. I ceramic coated mine.
@Big D, thanks for the comment. What year and model Camaro do you have? I need to ceramic coat mine too. Did you do it yourself or have professional install?
You have way more guts than me. That does look great though. 👍 I did swap out the red and amber side markers for black lens LEDs, so they’re totally hidden to the naked eye. My vanity plates are “2020 1LE” so I do have a bit of branding for the car
@Shreve Waxter yeah, I did the LEDs too and I love that look. The rebadge was pretty easy, except for the paint nick, which I realized I did when I pried the emblem down. It pushed onto the paint. 🤦🏻♂️. What state are you in? I have not been able to apply for a vanity plate in CA for months. My brother had to wait 6 months for his “because of COVID”.
Maryland. I noticed our MVA also has shut down any new vanity plate requests, due to COVID; I managed to get mine in just beforehand. Took about a month.
excellent work, just arrived here looking to find ways to remove camaro emblems off. the body shop that worked on the car put the camaro font letters on the fender ABOVE the belt line but its a 2013 so it should be below (like the passenger side is). gonna ask them to fix it since its their mistake but wanted to see how well this went for you in the event they tell me to F off
@StevenAbootman, Super easy to do! In fact because I had done it to my car, I have helped three other friends change emblems on their non-Camaro cars as well. Just take you time and be patient in the process so you don’t ruin the paint or clear coat and you should be fine. 😉👍🏻
appreciate the reply! I worked with the shop and am going to have them do it, and if they ruin the paint, they'll repaint the fender. its under warranty with the shop and since they very clearly did it wrong, they have to honor their own warranty. will keep this process in mind though for the rear RS emblem! keep up the great work on the channel!@@AverageHero
@@AverageHero It is sweet! I think my fave is the dark red cherry color, and the black accents is why the 1LE is so special. You have inspired me to look harder at the 1LE, thanks bro!
@Steven Spiece, sure thing! My spoiler is part of the 1LE performance package that comes standard on this model….but can also be purchased separately! Here is a link from my friends at Wildhammer Motorsports for the same spoiler which is an authentic GM part. wildhammermotorsports.com/16-22-camaro-blade-fin-spoiler-general-motors/
@screamo4211, that is a tough one but I would have to say the SS 1LE. Mine is a daily driver and the horsepower is just right for driving everywhere. The ZL1 is a beast @650hp. Plus a friend of mine has a “plain” ZL1 but likes the styling and performance of the 1LE like the track features and dual mode exhaust the ZL1 does not have.
Have u thought about getting a big black script camaro badge and putting it where the rear bow tie badge is? And btw, what color is this? It reminds me of he granite color on the chargers and challengers
@black ice, thanks for the comment. I have not thought about the rear bow tie🤔 but now you got me thinking. The color of my 1LE is Satin Steel metallic. There is also a darker gray called Shadow Gray metallic. The satin steel is almost identical to the dodge color. A friend of mine has a Challenger with that color and we are parked side by side, the color is pretty darn close.
@@AverageHero you should ceramic coat the color since 1 the paint from gm is very weak and thin and 2 it will seriously make the color pop and the shine will be impeccable
Looks great. I have the identical car. 21’ 1LE 6m in satin steel. I used headlight tint on the side markers and it worked great and only cost like $12. I’m going to rebadge mine after watching this. That logo that comes on the car is ugly. It’s one of the first things people ask about
@Adam Hancock..great minds think alike😉. Yeah, I feel the same way. At least have a “smoked” Camaro logo or back and silver. The factory one stuck out too much for my taste. I get a lot of comments on the 1LE badging.
@Adam Hancock…as much as I would like to bolt in some mods, for the time being I am just enjoying the car stock. I have a lot of other expenses going on right which have been limiting any other add ons for the time being.
So in 20 years from now when it’s supposed a classic because the world will go electric the then owner would want originality and want the original badge on it.
@TheGP I thought of that too actually. 😂. If and when I sell it, I still have the original badges they can reapply. It is kind of weird to think of that possibility though as EV becomes mainstream and good old combustion horsepower becomes a thing of the past... who knows....these cars could be sought after. And then I will kick myself for selling it. Thanks for the comment. 😉👍🏻
Just did mine yesterday! Placed mine above the curve in the fender, I like that position better.
I like it when it says Camaro instead of the bow tie.

Love that 1LE Color!
Johnny G, the satin steel is beautiful especially when you see it up close. Pictures and video don’t do it justice. ✌🏻

I have the same exact satin steel 22 2ss 1le and was thinking about doing this 😃

Can i ask about the rear spoiler. Thats exactly what i want

Not gonna lie, my heart sank when I saw the small paint chip missing. Cut me deep and it's not even my car.
You still have the car?
@V8_Gang, yes, i do and still driving every day.
quick question
Would you rather have an SS 1LE
or a plain ZL1?

Were did u say u bought the emblems from ?
Hello, Diego. I purchased mine from Wildhammermotorsports.com at this page: wildhammermotorsports.com/exterior-accessories-7/.
Hope this helps! ✌🏻
FYI. Using dental floss is a better method to use for emblem removal. Uspecially for the rear emblem where you can't use a heat gun.
@Black Widow, now you tell me😂🤔. If I change emblems in the future, I’ll try that and see the difference. Thanks for the tip. ✌🏻
I would keep the SS emblem and put the 1LE emblem on the right side
@JohnnyBlaze5680, yup that would look awesome too!😎👍🏻
The original badges look ok, but the blacked out 1LE looks a lot better on this car.
Or just use fishing line..
Yup…would probably be easier 😉
