Well respectfully the car got dynoed on two different dynos. So it's not like the other shop lied but obviously Fran was able to get some power out of it which I'm thankful for.
Those are obviously 5th gear numbers for the SS. About 20-30 rwhp low both stock and with the mods. A full 1:1 pull in 6th gear with an auto is usual about 400 rwhp give or take. 5th gear is consistent 20-30 rwhp less. But some dynos can’t accompany the speed needed fir a 6th gear pull
That's why chassis dyno's are just a tuning tool really. I never put stock in chassis dyno #'s. Especially when trying to compare different cars on different dyno's on different days. Getting a stock baseline and then getting a after mods report on the same dyno, preferably the same day and conditions, is what is important. The GAIN is what is important. Not the peak number THAT particular dyno shows.
These Camaros come stock with 455hp at the crank and only put down 375? Yet the same year mustang GT puts out 435 at the crank and still around 415 to the wheels? Whats the difference?? I dont get it

Something's wrong with the 375 rwhp baseline, no way it picked up that much from exhaust, cai and tune. Maybe it baselined 405-410 in reality, unless it had a clogged cat or something.

My friend is fighting an issue with his Camaro. It will not shift 2nd to 3rd where he has is set to shift. Always goes 500 rpms higher. It's commanding the shift. It just isn't shifting
Gamer kid he’s talking about an auto you can’t command a manual to shift its self... and skip shift makes you skip 2nd or third gear not 2nd to 3rd anybody who modified their manual car would more than likely have the skip shit eliminator

Because that project took over a year to do, not every project or car is the same. If we did videos like that for every car there would be 1 a month. Also this video did show a car from start to finish, baseline molding and final numbers.

If I was the owner of that red Z06 I would have the valve springs tested. The Lingenfelter cams have massive amounts of lift and those springs probably need to be replaced. Better yet I would take out that cam and go with something smaller.
And the Lingenfelter tfs combo makes 70 hp less than b3 AI combo? Well holy crap. And the SS picked up 11hp more than my ls3 did with headers and exhaust. Wow
Don’t waste the $$ on a aftermarket CAI. First of all there’s no such thing as a cold air intake and intake temps only drop 4* to 8* F when rolling. Any curved tubing with more than a 30-45 degree bend is a huge restriction. You MIGHT pick up a few hp from it at most however speed shops that sell these things manipulate the dyno data to show huge gains. CAI’s have been myth busted on 4 continents and 27 countries. I look at it this way, every 110 hp or so is good for a drop of about 1 sec in times and add 8-11 mph in the traps. CAI’s won’t drop times but about 1/10th… Manifold, cam, heads, long tubes (1 7/8ths or 1 3/4’s is the good size for non-boosted applications or under 675 rwhp/745 crank), high flow catt-back systems with high flow mufflers is it for real power improvements. Catt-deletes don’t add power but just drop weight. Same for the mufflers,no power to be had here either. Light driveshafts and flywheels, light pulley’s don’t add any power either. Plus if you want to drop weight, 80-100 lbs lost is about a 1/10th drop in times. Rear gear swap will help a lot. That’s about it NA. Sadly since the 6th gen’s came out a cam swap is now very expensive and time consuming.

That baseline is not normal. Normally intake, header and tune on pump gas is around 40 whp and 50 whp with e85
The baseline is pretty low most of them are quite a bit higher ……. So it prob corrected later w the mods…..
