@@freedompioneer4311 this process can be used for plasti dip but it changes a little with the spray coats. With plasti dip the process is faster bc you only need 5-6 coats to obtain a proper removal vs hyperdip which I spray 12 coats. This is a great video. I just bought black "AVALANCHE" letters for my 2008 Avalanche, but I would have to replace one letter at a time and with my OCD, if a new letter was off just a smidge, it would drive me nuts. I'll use this method now. Glad I came across this!
Looks amazing! I do have a question, you said peel when wet but take your time, how long before the paint dries before I would have issues peeling it up? I have a Telluride and it's a lot of letters 😭 I don't want to mess it up by going too slow.
Yeah you’ll only peel the masking off while wet, then let the dip dry for 1-2 hours giving it time to fully cure. Once the cure time is up you’ll then remove the extra dip around the emblems carefully. A slow speed won’t effect the peel process, that’s pretty much you taking your time
I ordered a new Telluride Nightfall edition, but the “KIA” on the 2022 isn’t blacked out so I’ll be doing this for sure. Luckily it’s just the new “KIA” emblem I have to do. Just hope it looks as sharp as this!

Hi, thank you so much for such a detailed and informative demo video! I am all about DIY projects especially with my car. Being a lady does not hold me back! I have been watching tons of videos on this process as my current emblem overlays are starting to peel off - they were the vinyl heated process. The one think I missed or did not quite understand is exactly how many sprays did you do to complete the process. I know you were comparing to plastidip and I heard 12 coats but I did not understand if that would be plastidip product or for the hydrodip product. Could you clarify for me? I really want to do my rims as well. Do you have a video or link for doing the rims? TIA!!
Yes that’s correct Mike, I used 12 coats for hyperdip. I have a (how to) video uploaded on spraying rims, it’ll help guide you through the process for a successful finish.
Nice work...like the toothpick idea, and the tape process for your overspray paper....Such a cool and inexpensive to make any car standout a little bit without paying the big bucks...Thanks
Oh yeah I’m with you on that, you can achieve color changing emblems with plasti dip and proline which are both removable products. It’s actually pretty easy to achieve.

Thanks, you know I gotta stay on top of it. I appreciate you checking out the video.
Great tutorial. I plan on doing this on my 19 trailboss. Thank you
I appreciate that and go for the more custom look, you won’t regret it. Thanks for checking out the video.

This is an awesome video! Very detailed. Thank you! One question, how long do you wait after your last coat to begin the peel?
Thank you, wait 1 hour before peeling what’s left around the emblems

How does it hold in a carwash? BTW excellent DIY video!
Thanks for the compliment and watching the video.
When it’s applied correctly you won’t have any issues with car washing. Here’s a video link that I uploaded pertaining to car washing removable wraps.

TIA!!
It was 6 coats plasti dip or 12 coats hyper dip since it reacts differently, which is what he used in the video.
Yes that’s correct Mike, I used 12 coats for hyperdip. I have a (how to) video uploaded on spraying rims, it’ll help guide you through the process for a successful finish.
Great video Man. clean, pro level sharpness in the letters. Music was cool too.
Thanks I appreciate that and yeah I’m very particular about the music 😆 thanks again for checking out the video
Nice work...like the toothpick idea, and the tape process for your overspray paper....Such a cool and inexpensive to make any car standout a little bit without paying the big bucks...Thanks
You’re welcome and thanks for checking out the video
Pull out game on point my dude
😆 thanks for checking out the video
Love it homie! Great video, thanks for the great content!
I appreciate that and thanks for checking out the video
I'd like to see a multi color hyper dip emblem done
Dope idea
Oh yeah I’m with you on that, you can achieve color changing emblems with plasti dip and proline which are both removable products. It’s actually pretty easy to achieve.
Love your work. Is this why I can’t find toothpicks in the store. Great explanation step by step.
😂 the toothpick is now considered a hand tool, thanks for checking out the video.
Man I’ve watched several of these videos and your work is the best. You make it look so easy. Great job, wish me luck I’m goin in!
I appreciate that and thanks for checking out the video, just follow theses instructions and it’s a success.
