I've enjoyed all of The Cult's albums, but Electric and Sonic Temple. Those are my 2 favorite albums from them. It is a rabbit hole WELL worth exploring! Might I suggest Fire Woman, Love Removal Machine, Wild Flower, Rain and Edie(Ciao baby). GREAT reaction as ALWAYS. Love the channel. Keep up the good work! \m/
Underated, iconic band. Earlier stuff was "alternative" then they went "rock" then they went leaning to "heavy metal"..... best work in alternative then rock.
Lex is onto something with the stripper vibe she’s getting. The song “Fire Woman” off the same album was a HUGE hit and favorite in the strip clubs at the time (so I’ve been told 😁). The Cult is a very under-appreciated band in my opinion. If I could recommend just one of their songs to listen to, I would have to say Love Removal Machine off their Electric album. That is a true banger!
I was "told" by some guy about how him and the stripper were the only ones on the floor and they both were singing to the song as she danced and he paused as she sang, "Dancing like a cat on a hot tin shack" and she paused when he sang "Come on little sister." It was all spontaneous and pretty cool. That was what he "told" me anyway.
I assume the person is a different worker. One of the lyrics is wrong - it should be "hustle and strut through Paris at night". So a woman who works all night on the streets?
@@johnow7 Well I wasn't replying to you. So the way UA-cam works is that someone can reply to an initial comment and it will come after yours - it doesn't mean it was sent to you unless your name is actually included in the response (and it wasn't). So that's today's lesson.
Soldier Blue or Edie (ciao baby) off the same album or go back further to She Sells Sanctuary or Rain. Then there’s Wild Flower and Lil’ Devil, the list goes on. Great band🤟
The Cult has been my all time favorite band since their debut album " Dreamtime " and the song that hooked me was Spiritwalker. I have been lucky enough to stumble into a job as a Stagehand for a very long time now. Thanks to my job I have not only seen them live about a dozen times now but I met Billy (guitarist) and Ian (singer)
I don't know who suggested this song but I'm grateful. The Cult is such an underrated rock band. They are simply fantastic and they have the ability to transport you somewhere else with their music. My faves are "Rain" and "Fire Woman." The Cult fans here are die hard fans. I can guarantee you that!
“Fire Woman” from the same album is my top favorite song from them! Matt Sorum, the drummer went on to play with Guns N Roses followed by Velvet Revolver…
Back in 89 when I was 17 I saw this CD lying on the speaker at home, it was my brothers. No-one was home and we had a KICK ASS stereo system, so I put it on, cranked it up, and never looked back. I am rocker from the roots up, and this album literally set me on my path. Legend
I believe I've responded before...keep the CULT coming. They are an awesome band. Edie (Ciao) Baby, Sun King, She Sells Sanctuary, Love Removal Machine, Rain, Wild Flower, Peace Dog...and an on and on. They are a great band. One of my favorites. Thanks for this reaction!
Ohhhh The Cult....... was my fav band when I was young....... hehehehe........... This album is good, but he best album is "Electric"............ I recomend you listen "Love removal machine" "WIld flower" and "li'l devil"....... There are jewels
Some other gems by The Cult : Spiritwalker Rain Sun King Edie Caio Baby Brother Wolf Sister Moon Nirvana they even did a cover of Born To Be Wild. Side not Ian did a small tour with the 3 still living members of the Doors and there's videos on UA-cam. Look for 21st Century Doors. Dude sounds just like Morrison.
One of my favorite bands, consisting of Billy Duffy on guitar and Ian Asbury on vocals. Any song off the albums Love(1985), Electric (1987) or Sonic Temple (1989) is worth checking out. Some of the best guitar and vocals to come out of the 80's I saw them open for Metallica in 89. They got boo'ed merciously. Their performance was great, but Mettalica fans were known, at the time, to be very hostile to any band opening for them.
Seems Brit/ Alt /Metal should not open for American Thrash (or so it was billed at the time) metal, should not have been on the same billing. But the Cult were great band . A bit more balanced and much less "over the top" than Metallica. Ian Asbury is one of my favorite vocalists.
Fire Woman off of Sonic Temple is another good one,I saw them in B- More on this tour.I always thought that this album had one of the best guitar sounds and the sound overall was full and loud, lol, So good
Ian Astbury definitely has to be related to Jim Morrison somewhere down the line.🤔 I saw them live many times back in the 90s they put on a great show.
Absolutely love the cult just listen to the love albumn from start to end rain ,big neon glitter ,nirvana ,brother wolf sister moon are just a few to start just of that albumn but would love to see you do white off the ceremony album
Very underrated band. Sonic Temple is a fantastic album, the music is just a shy short of biker music. But just great vocals and lead guitar by Billy Duffy.
Saw this band as a opening act at a concert. They sounded amazing live that night way above average. If you get it done live you always have my respect ✌
1 of my favorite songs.. GREAT BAND and this songs ranks on the same listing as Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones for us Sistas!!! Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy RULE!
Sonic Temple is The Cult best album, not a bad song on it, the song "Rain" which is from another album call "LOVE" Is probably their best song that you may like too, and any song from this album "Sonic Temple" also
The Cult I never really got into back in the days. Too much leftover hair rock for me. jaja. They were kind of lame. But hey! You might hear this at the cheap strip clubs
Not my fave of The Cult but still an awesome song! I don't think they got the best exposure in the US, here in Canada they were on the radio & Much Music station quite a bit in the day. thx for sharing Brad & Lex :)
I wouldn't be surprised if there were more Cult fans in Canada than any other country relative to population. Everyone of my mates had a brother or sister that had at least one Cult album growing up. I saw them at the Toronto, Skydome and in Edmonton Alberta 2x. Just amazing live. Ian has such growl to his voice. Stage presence par excellence and just incredible moves. Always left the performance in awe.
In this episode of Brad & Lex, a twenty second span of time from the intro activates Lex's "biker party bop" which she expresses before guitars shred and grimy vocals and sweet harmonies are added. Brad holds it steady with his signature "side to side sway".
I'm still laying in bed at the V. A. But I'm recovering. You guy's always lift my spirit. You make me laugh till it literally makes me hurt. Love you guys. 🤕🌴🐊🌞😜😎
I say it on all these reaction channels. Here it is again. This band was CRIMINALLY underrated. I mean embarrassingly so.
Duffy can really play, doesn't get enough credit.
I’d rate him over Slash all day
Riff daddy, as I saw a comment once say about him 🤣
I've enjoyed all of The Cult's albums, but Electric and Sonic Temple. \m/
Love is a great album too
I saw them perform otlliy in full on tour in Canada. Great show
Underated, iconic band. Earlier stuff was "alternative" then they went "rock" then they went leaning to "heavy metal"..... best work in alternative then rock.
...I agree Anthony, this is my favorite album by the Cult
Early stuff was Goth ..When they were Southern Death Cult..before shortening it to The Cult and going the more rock route.
Lex is onto something with the stripper vibe she’s getting. The song “Fire Woman” off the same album was a HUGE hit and favorite in the strip clubs at the time (so I’ve been told 😁). That strip club thing was making it around, I see. I was "told" the same... Weird ain't it
I was "told" by some guy about how him and the stripper were the only ones on the floor and they both were singing to the song as she danced and he paused as she sang, "Dancing like a cat on a hot tin shack" and she paused when he sang "Come on little sister." Ciao Edie....for sure :)
Rain is a great song... fire woman is what introduced me to em.
Yeah fire woman is a definitely
Soldier blue? He must've needed the money🤣

I'd throw Sacred Life in there too, a great tribute to flames that have gone out too soon.
Yes! Someone finally did it! Fantastic album!!!
Fun fact:
The singer Ian was asked by the remaining members of the Doors to stand in for Jim Morrison on a reunion performance
The Cult is great! Great choice! I recommend Wild Hearted Son. Great song.

Never seen them live unfortunately, but met billy duffy once at stanstead airport! Guy is a legend!
I saw them live when they opened up for The Who like 10 years ago.
I saw them live at the Harden State Art Center, warming up for Billy Idol. I was there to see The Cult and they did not disappoint!
Correction - Garden State Arts Center
same same
The Cult have excellent songs! Always been one of my favorites. So many songs.
I don't know who suggested this song but I'm grateful. The Cult is such an underrated rock band. They are simply fantastic and they have the ability to transport you somewhere else with their music. No band is cooler than The Cult!!! 😎
Thanks lex I been a biker for over 40 years and your right it has a biker vibe
Fire Woman by them is even better!

At last! One of the best songs by one of the best bands!
The entire Sonic Temple album is fantastic! 👍
So glad you did this one!! The Cult NEVER disappoints... There's not one bad song on this album...
One of the best albums ever!!!
Back in 89 when I was 17 I saw this CD lying on the speaker at home, it was my brothers. No-one was home and we had a KICK ASS stereo system, so I put it on, cranked it up, and never looked back. I am rocker from the roots up, and this album literally set me on my path. Legend
My favorite song by The Cult! Thanks, great channel! Gotta do "Fire Woman" next.
Like to request THE LOGICAL SONG from SUPERTRAMP.
One of my desert island discs. Great band, awesome album.
You can't go wrong with The Cult.
My favorite is still Wildflower. But this is a great song by them.
It's my fave too. Great tune.
Went to 4 shows this year where they gave out The Cult wildflower seeds for fans to get environmentally progressive!!!
Ohhhh The Cult....... was my fav band when I was young....... hehehehe........... This album is good, but he best album is "Electric"............ I recomend you listen "Love removal machine" "WIld flower" and "li'l devil"....... There are jewels

Fire woman, Coming down, Star, Wild flower, American horse.
SPIRIT WALKER!
As others mentioned Love Removal Machine is strong, Sea Shells Sanctuary, Wild Flower, Fire Woman all were alt rock staples.

One of my favorite bands, consisting of Billy Duffy on guitar and Ian Asbury on vocals.

I was showing them also in that tour and I enjoyed a lot. Those Cult in the 80s were the best
Metallica fans did the same in '94 when I saw them in Germany
Seems Brit/ Alt /Metal should not open for American Thrash (or so it was billed at the time) metal, should not have been on the same billing. But the Cult were great band . A bit more balanced and much less "over the top" than Metallica. Ian Asbury is one of my favorite vocalists.
Great choice! Love your reactions, please please ...Great White Rock Me??? ✌ ☮ 🎶🎸🎼
Yes, Rock Me or House of Broken Love. Great songs, great band.
Fire Woman off of Sonic Temple is another good one,I saw them in B- More on this tour.I always thought that this album had one of the best guitar sounds and the sound overall was full and loud, lol, So good
May I suggest more of The Cult? Aphrodisiac Jacket, Fire Woman, She Sells Sanctuary, and so many more!
ua-cam.com/video/wvXFBozyGbU/v-deo.html
The CULTS "the Witch" and "Love removal machine" and "rain" all excellent work.
Fire Woman and She Sells Sanctuary are great songs from these guys.🔥🎧
Excellent band that doesn't get the attention they deserve.
Try "New York City" from the same album. A nice head banging tune and one of the best on the album.
Hell's Kitchen is a DMZ, ain't never coming back...go Iggy!
You have to watch fire woman live that singer is something to see in life👍👍👍👍
My favorite band for over 30 years, and one of my favorite songs. This one was written about Black Panther and longtime activist Angela Davis.
thanks pal, didn't know this
Please listen to their song Aphrodisiac Jacket. It is a dope play of a Cream tune
Billy Duffy laying down the riffs...epic!
Amazing band. Every album had a different feel and sound. You hit one of my faves.
Hey guys, another great reaction ..please react to "love removal machine" & " fire woman " you won't be disappointed ✌
Good choice … love the cult. Especially Electric and Sonic Temple
The entire album is AWESOME
Like others said earlier, check out “Fire Woman”
Ian Astbury definitely has to be related to Jim Morrison somewhere down the line.🤔 I saw them live many times back in the 90s they put on a great show.

Lex with a little bit of air guitar...rock it!
Fire woman by them is the shiznit
⚡🤟⚡
BTW Brad, I see your Van Halen shirt...
How about Love walks in by them?
Cheers!
My favorite Cult song…
Very underrated band. Sonic Temple is a fantastic album, the music is just a shy short of biker music. But just great vocals and lead guitar by Billy Duffy.
NEW ORDER "Leave me Alone", "Ceremony", "Age of Consent", Thieves Like Us" or "Temptation".
The best band of the 80s 90s BUT you should check FIREWOMEN by far there best song.. Also there best video
Lex, born 30 years too late.
I saw them in concert back in the days. And you'll never guess who was opening for them ? G n R !!! 😂😂😂
Sonic Temple is The Cult best album, not a bad song on it, the song "Rain" which is from another album call "LOVE" Is probably their best song that you may like too, and any song from this album "Sonic Temple" also
Great reaction. Another underrated band you might enjoy is Bang Tango. "Midnight Struck" would be a good intro song.
If you like The Cult, you two need to check out Mother Love Bone. Very similar vibes but each is thier own unique sound and band.
Probably my favorite by the Cult would be American Horse
Oooh...just listen to Billy Duffy, just rocking out with that guitar solo. 🔥
How come that you never reacted to Jimmy Hendryx? Just asking..
Just noticed this.... Sweet Soul Sister, She Sells Sanctuary. Nice alliteration 😂
Love the Cult!!! Watch Fire Woman, it's amazing.
Wild Flower and Lil Devil are two great songs with fantastic riffs
The Cult I never really got into back in the days. Too much leftover hair rock for me. jaja. They were kind of lame. But hey! You might hear this at the cheap strip clubs
I love The Cult, Sonic Temple is a great album , the music just drives at you.
the cult is one of my fav bands
The Cult, always better if you get a live or visual performance as the frontman( Ian Astbury ) is class

Really great band. Killer vocalist.
Y'all should check out the song "Peace Pipe", by the band Cry of Love.
Love this song! Great band!
In this episode of Brad & Lex, a twenty second span of time from the intro activates Lex's "biker party bop" which she expresses before guitars shred and grimy vocals and sweet harmonies are added. Brad holds it steady with his signature "side to side sway".
what a great concert, even bought the Sonic Temple T-shirt. Rock on Brad & Lex
Pleaeaease do sun king and fire woman next…!
“Fire Woman” official video has some of the greatest energy.
Loved this one! Ian and Duffy are awesome. Best duo in Rock.....still.
So many good tune from the Cult, but This and Wild Hearted Son are my 2 faves.
The Cult ROCKS!!! 🎸
I was there when this played in the strip clubs, total anthem for the dancers.
"Fire Woman" is a MUST when listening to The Cult. Also check out "Lil' Devil"
My favorite Cult album is Electric. I would recommend almost anything from that album, but, to pick a couple: "Peace Dog"; "Love Removal Machine".
I'm still laying in bed at the V. A. But I'm recovering. You guy's always lift my spirit. You make me laugh till it literally makes me hurt. Love you guys. 🤕🌴🐊🌞😜😎

Good music great live band concert
If I remember right, and I may not, the outro bleeds into the next song. I lost a lot of brain cells and could be thinking of another album
You’re absolutely right - it bleeds into Soul Asylum
I’m so glad you think you like the cult. Absolutely my favorite band. It gets better and better the deeper you go. just a great straight up rock band.
One of the most underrated bands ! Glad you finally checked out one of there songs
This whole album is fire. Other great cult songs

Revolution

No list of Cult songs is complete without Love Removal Machine - IMO
You guys are picking the best songs… these songs were the soundtrack to my 20s … The Cult was one of my favorites
