  • Therapist analzyes Dicke Titten by Rammstein to discuss the ways in which people often prioritize superficial qualities over actual compatibility and they often do that to try to validate something within themselves.

"Zeit" (Time) is in my opinion one of the most impressive songs by Rammstein, also because of its message. However, the birth scene is not suitable for everyone.
Rammstein is one of the most controversial and intelligent bands of our time. Very often there are hidden messages in their lyrics and what at first sounds very banal or superficial is, at second glance, profound social criticism or addresses other serious topics such as mental health.
A good example is the song "Ich tu dir weh", where it sounds for a long time as if another person is being tortured, until the lyric line "ich seh im Spiegel dein Gesicht" (i see your face in the mirror) makes it clear that it's about self-mutilation.

Thank you for this great explanation. Not many ppl think of the extra layer of meaning in Rammstein songs. And there are songs based on real live events, like Donaukinder and Rammstein, Wiener Blut, Mein Teil and many other.

I will never understand why is birth such a taboo. Practically all the warm bloodied creatures were conceived and born through the birth canal. In the last 100 years at least 8 BN people were born the same way. Maybe that is when we see the vagina not as an object of lust and pleasure but as it evolved to be : an organ for the reproduction of the species.
I could go on... but I wont.

The fun thing about the video is that he's basically drowning in what he's wishing for but he can't see it. They actually have a lot of deep songs but they can have fun too sometimes ;) If you want one that's about mental health, try "Puppe" or "Angst".

    • @CMSnyder80
      @CMSnyder80 Місяць тому +2

I was going to suggest Puppe...not just the story but Til's vocals. Almost approached Korn's Daddy vibes. The live video looks great but the raw emotion you hear in the choruses is much stronger in their official lyric video as it has the studio version and there is just more rawness to it for me.

In German there is an old saying/phrase translated into English it´s kinda "He can´t see the forest because there are too many trees interfering his view"
And that song is exactly about that notion..

At 6:10 you get a view of the Edelweiss flower IIRC. That's a protected species of flower. Due to its delicate fragrance and structure it was given as a sign of love and devotion to your crush.
That he steps on it, unseeing, crushing it underfoot, is another symbol of his blindness to the beauty that surrounds him. He even misses the symbol that he could have picked and given it as his opening to the heart of one of the many women surrounding him.
As he crushed it he steps to a cliff's edge, trying to stare blindly into the distance, hoping to find his desire far off, ignoring everything close by.

The problem is, many times desires and compatibility doesn't always align. Sometimes they contrast quite a bit from each other and we want someone who can check both boxes because both are important at some point or another.
This ends up in you having to sacrafice one or the other and be unhappy in one of the two areas, because if you dont make the sacrifice, you might never find anyone. And loneliness is worse than being unhappy.

I was born into music in 92. Appalachian folk music to be precise. I learned mandolin, banjo, and guitar from a young age. I picked up anything that any artist would call an "instrument" along the way. I'm 32 now. I've fought my whole life against trauma, addiction, abuse, lawlessness, and the morbid terrors outside of my world. Music is my passion and my life. I'm very familiar with many artists assorted over many genres. Currently exploring metal. Anywho, what I wanted to get at was it's hard for me to find something that makes me chuckle, and this channel and the music has been very beneficial to that. Thank you and have a beautiful day! ✌️

He's blind though in the video. The production value of every Rammstein video is commendable, they go above and beyond. I love their music to great heights, and from what is going on with Til makes me really conflicted about them.

For some more mental health I suggest „Puppe“ by Rammstein. What do you think about the little boy in his room and how he’s treading his doll.
This song always shakes me, it’s so sad and so brutal
    Thank you 😊

Tim is an AMAZING writer, he writes poems and all his music, allot of artist critisize him, but I believe all his stuff is masterpieces of the human condition and mind, about human nature and the things wr do, what wr take for granted, what wr want and what we lost.

I think your take on this has merit. I would, however, like to point out 80% of what you listed as traits male or female are evolutionary markers 6'8" big strong guy= protection, bust size, fertility, the end of the day most people are preprogrammed to recognize certain traits as desirable. However, then we can get into nature vs. nurture, which is another animal entirely. I'm also of a firm belief that nature vs. nurture also shaped the attraction to the evolutionary markers before we even knew why.

    Fun fact about Rammstein.
The bands name Rammstein comes from an early idea of Christoph Schneider (the drummer), Christian "Flake" Lorenz (the keybord player) and Paul Landers (the guitarist).
The band called themselves Rammstein-Flugschau (Rammstein Airshow) after the 1988 Ramstein air show disaster at USAF Ramstein Air Base near Kaiserslautern, West Germany.
Guitarist Paul Landers said the spelling of Ramstein with the extra "m" was a mistake.
After the band became popular, the band members denied the connection to the air show disaster and said that their name was inspired by the giant doorstop-type devices found on old gates, called Rammsteine.
The extra "m" in the band's name makes it translate literally as "ramming stone".

I have spent the past 7 years trying to find someone that wants to be an equal partner and mutually supportive. I am not giving up by any means but I am still single. I have met two fantastic women in my life time, but they were from Europe and we were not able to find a way to make it work. (I met them both as foreign exchange students, it was not just an online thing) They seemed to want to be respected and supported and offered the same in return. I have not seen that mentality from local women. * Again.... not giving up, just my experience.

For what it's worth most of Rammstein's videos have German subtitles, but under the cogwheel in UA-cam the English translator is pretty darn good.
Need to do Zeit, Zick Zack, Angst , Puppe or Mein Herz Brennt

I laughed very hard when you finally realized he was actually (in the video) blind. Also, there's a lot of suggestive imagery at the beginning that is easy to overlook if the joke angle of the song hasn't set in yet. Churning butter in the opening scene for example, even before the cow milking.
Great job in finding something here for your uses. Like a skilled fighter, only out of weapons, when the room is empty.
