- Hey everyone! Today I take a look at the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL. I am especially excited to tour this car because of how much I love the VW Atlas. This specific Tiguan is a 7 passenger... which is a loose term. I would find it very difficult to use the third row in this vehicle... watch the video to find out why. All in all, I think this car is a great 5 passenger option!

I literally just bought a 2021 Tiguan 4-motion se r-line black and am in love! This was our perfect car because it has that “emergency” third row. We have just two kids and we figure we don’t need to haul more than just us on most days so that third row is just there in case we need it. This was also a perfect price point.

I am in the market for this exact vehicle. I think the 3rd row was never meant for adults! I plan to use it for the occasional “hey can we bring my friend home from practice?” Scenario. For that, it would def come in handy. I have 2 kids and only one in a car seat. Can’t wait til the 22’s come out later this year! Def getting STONE BLUE!!! Love your reviews. Very real and funny!

So excited you did this! I just got a 2018 VW Tiguan SE and so far so good 👍🏼 I don’t have any kids yet (just me, my husband, and the dog) so I think it’s going to be a great car for our first kid and maybe even second before we transition to something bigger. The center console is soooo small but other than that, I am super happy with it!
Just bought a 2021 tiguan se 4-motion and i love it! The only thing i dislike is the halogen headlight but thats an easy fix with buying led bulbs.

Love my 2019 Tiguan SE. I got “leather” heated seats without having to spent a ton on the higher end models. No other compact SUV that I considered offered that in my price range.
Thanks! Great tour. Thinking about leasing the Tiguan and then deciding to buy it out or if we want to go with the Atlas. Just a family of 3 now and only plan to be a family of 4 - so 7 passenger is nice but not a must for our needs. Like the idea of only getting it in the 5 passenger design of available.

Love this tour. I love the atlas but have two older kids do don’t really need the third row... would like to have one in those cases when the kids are so freakin loud I need some distance between them and my ears. Would like something smaller so I can get a higher trim level for my money, this just went on my list!

I went to the dealership yesterday. I traded in my Jeep Wrangler for the Tiguan 4 motion R Line which only comes in two rows. Making the trunk a pretty good size. I love love love your reviews! I was able to get a nice chuck of money from the trade it ❤️ I have a 18 month old & one on the way in September. I love my new car. Thank you for what you do.
How are you liking it still? We have 2 under 2 and realized we aren’t having anymore kids so we downsized to the same sel r-line 4motion (waiting for it to be delivered) and I’m excited! It’s shocking how much room it has from what I can tell!
@@alexismp3087 , I still love it . All the safety features are amazing . The trunk space is huge . Backseat leg room is great . I’m giving birth the end of the month so I haven’t installed the 2nd car seat , but my soon to be two year old is still rear facing & it doesn’t fit tight at all . You’re going to love it !

@@kbizass , I like it . But if I was having a 3rd the atlas would’ve been my choice . The atlas is way bigger . Having 3 car seats in the back of the Tiguan would be tight .

I’m so excited you did the Tiguan! It was at the top of our list until I got a peek into the backseat at a dealership and literally LOLed. Also the used ratings aren’t that good which scares me a little since we are in it for the long haul! Right now our top contender is the Forester... so curious about what you’d think of it!
Curious what the used ratings were that was a turn off? This car was at the top of my list as well☹️
We own both a 2019 forester and 2019 tiguan I prefer the Tiguan over the forester it is more spacious and i like the way it handles more and the trunk is bigger. We don’t plan on using the third row except for the dog and have a toddler car seat plus expecting one now and it’s plenty of room for a Costco trip with a stroller folded

Can you do the Mazda CX3 please!! I have one and we want to have kids soon, but wonder if car seat fits great in it or if i have to shop for a bigger car. ☺️

Not a bad review of the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, Kelly. It still looks really small for a family vehicle. Anyway, can you a video on the all-new, 2022 Nissan Pathfinder SL AWD eight-passenger crossover, please? Some of these vehicles could be in dealerships all over the United States already. I have never seen any of them in Canada, yet. I am extremely a fan of The Car Mom. If you think the console is small in this car you should check out the Jeep Compass. Very tiny!
I currently drive a Golf, and will probably get a Tiguan next! I don’t think I can handle the gas mileage of the Atlas 😳. I need to go to the dealership and see if large and intermediate Ruffland Kennels would fit in the back. Please start lugging kennels so I can see that 🤣🤣

I watched your video. We have seven year old grand twins and a two-year-old great-grandson. I would need to be able to get the kids in and out of car seats because my husband is disabled. I don't like to feel cramped so I need to feel like I have room in the front. Trying to stay in a lower price range because we are older and I don't want to have payments forever. I think Mitsubishi also makes a 7-seater and that price range. Thank you so much. We're in a situation where we need to buy something because our engine went on our van. Also wondered if you have any recommendations or if you believe the warranties such as Carshield if you don't buy new. Thank you!!
My husband and I have one child and will expand our family at some point. I drive a Ford 2017 Escape right now and he has a paid off Chevy Malibu. I want my next vehicle to be a Chevy traverse and he wants a Silverado. We both have near 800 credit scores. We want to keep the Malibu as an extra vehicle but we want to trade in my suv and get the two Chevy’s. Do you think the dealership will give us a great deal if we buy two vehicles at once. And would we have to roll the balance from thr escape onto the new vehicles? Trying to stay under $1000k in payments 🥴. Are deals better during a certain time of year? If so, when? Help! Lol love your vids!

Yes! You can have them without or if one you like doesn’t have one, they can add them for and additional cost.
So happy to hear you are loving you Tiguan! To answer your question, the third row is optional! :)

Would probably go for the Atlas between the two but the recent recalls give me pause. Any thoughts on that? Super excited for your MDX review!
Working for VW myself, the only recall I would worry about would be the steering knuckle recall in the atlas cross sports. But if you’re buying a 2021 vehicle then it should be something that has already been checked and fixed if needed!

Is it just me or does the car look tiny next to her? I know she’s super tall! But the angles or something make this look like a car instead of a “midsize” suv.

Honestly, I haven't had any issues with the light gray leather seats. I also got the Xylon package, so maybe that's why I'm having good luck lol
