Amazing reviews!! Glad you are loving the R-Line!!!
The Tiguan is a great SUV for the price! Thank you for your support!
Any reliability issues
Nice, thanks.
I live in Britain and I have the 190bhp, 2 litre diesel SEL model with the D.S.G. gearbox and 4 wheel drive. I have had it for two years and really like it. It's quite quick 0-60 in 8 seconds and very economical, on a run between 45-50 m.p.g. I had a diesel Honda CRV auto before this which was a fabulous car, it had done 115,000 miles when I changed it and still drove like new. The only fault I had on it was a leaking power steering pipe. I hope the Tiguan is as reliable.
We are sure you will love your Tiguan for as many years as you own it!
13:35 great video thanks
Just bought 2020 Tiguan se . How much different are the two in handling and performance?
Options I have seen lol.
They are very similar because they are on the same platform!
Get the APR Stage 1 software flash. Adds 50 hp and defeats the auto start/stop. It's well worth it.
Good idea!
Have you had any issue with engine or transmission? any expensive repair? previous years have a very low reliability. Anyway I got one and I was getting nervous about the issues I have read but looks models from 2021 and on have improved on reliability
We had no issues while we owned the car and we put a lot of miles on it!
hey what type of tire size are you carrying on those 20" rims?
We do not own the car anymore and we do not remember, sorry.
It's your wife's car?! Then it should be her doing the review! Just saying, lol! 😀
I just got one two weeks after purchase I'm having issues with it like a loud wining noise at startup and jerky transmission I mean it rides great when you get running but sucks that it has those issues I'm taking it back to dealer to see if they will fix or replace it
We hope you get it fixed!
Make sure you let it warm up first , after about a minute the RPM's will dropped down from 1,100ish to 800ish . You can also try the transmission / pedal reset , I do it with mine every month or so .
Does your tiguan not have a 3rd row? I keep hearing about them but I have yet to see one! I would totally buy a 2 row tiguan
No it does not. Thank you for your support!
Some models have third row. But the awd dont
Why does the background sound like car is a 5.0L V8 with a performance exhaust? Isn’t this powered by a small 4 cyl turbo? It sounds way too loud interior like there is a bad wheel bearing or something
I do not remember if we had a problem with the car or not at that time sorry.
You guys are funny! :) Thanks for your honest review. I'm considering buying a 2021.
Thank you very much! We hope we helped and if you do purchase one we hope you enjoy it!
Unplug the connector at the battery terminal. No more need to turn off engine shut off feature. You're welcome.
Good idea!
Can you make a review on VW Tiguan IQ drive. I cant find any one.
We can try but no guarantees. It is an option rather than a model so to find one and be able to review it might be difficult.
I have this car, and i am in Germany. Tiguan IQ drive.@@Turn5ive
Bought a 2022 sel rline 4 motion (previously known as premium). Only complaint is power. But that is how they use the price ladder to get you into an audi. Wish the R was in North America.
We wish the R was in North America as well but other than power it is an amazing car!
I know you posted this a while ago, do you still have the 2022? How is it, and has anything gone wrong or any big complaints?
Calm down guys, i have the 2018 Tiguan 4motion the week it was released, mine is just as gorgeous, mine has traveled the enitire country and almost 95k now. The engine and drivetrain are the exact same, the engine and trans are very poorly tuned, only in sport mode does the engine/trans perform anywhere close to it's potential The deal i got on my was amazing, and for that reason it was well worth the price, but for the 40K+ its not worth it. In the current market the new Honda CRV maybe the new winner in the midsize suv normie category. The black edition was made for the LA crowd, the first dealership i saw it in stock back in 2019 was in Santa Monica.
Thank you for your support!
I was hoping to see more of how the Tiguan was holding up mechanically , (i.e. problems, oil leaks, sunroof leaks etc. cost of maintenance?) Plus the T-shirts to do a video? You Americans really down dress for everything, don't you.
We have had very few mechanical problems so that is why they were not in the video.
Yeah what's with the t-shirts you trailer folk? Jk lol who tf cares, we are car enthusiasts not car engineers smh
@@Turn5ive Can you name them? I heard Tiguan are unreliable cars and for a new two years cars having mechanical issues doesn't seem promising
You said 26.9 mpg. How much of that is city driving?
We do a lot of highway driving so mainly highway.
I have a 2017 full R Line bought it new now it has gearbox problems after 10000 km
We hope that you get that sorted out!
Ha in my bubble I see mine lifted with bigger falken at tires… and apr tuning
That would be a pretty sweet ride!
my friend has one--it has enough power---my ford explorer has twin turbo and has too much power!!! my explorer get right at 19mpg but i drive with a lighter foot cause i am older!!
Thank you for insight and your support!
Do you still own this? How is the reliability?
We do not own it anymore so the whole time we had it the warranty covered the car. For reliability we never had any major engine issues but we had a wheel hub that needed to be fixed and that was the largest issue the car had. Overall it worked great every day but little things went wrong with it on occasion. Thank you for your support!
A Tiguan is a fantastic drive until it breaks down. I want to buy another one, but I really can't afford to throw money away.
They are very nice vehicles!
All cars break down so im not sure what that means. No car runs forever
184hp and 8.4sec to 60 is all right. This is not race car.
Sadly it is not a racecar but we wish it was!
My diesel auto version does it in 8 secs.
After 5 years. The value is 50%😢
It is disappointing how much they have depreciated.
Good your engine is as noisy as mine.
The 4 cylinder engine is not a super quiet engine.
