Great review! If a buyer is looking at the 2.5L Turbo 4, AWD is a must-have. Tests of the 2.5L Turbo 4 with FWD shows that even slight acceleration breaks the front tires loose due to so much power being sent to only the front wheels. AWD spreads that power to all 4 wheels, making acceleration much smoother. And for snowy weather, AWD is the only choice.
Absolutely love your content! My girls are grown, but your advice is still extremely relevant, as I am planning to purchase a new SUV in the spring. If you are looking for advice, I would suggest slowing down a bit while you are speaking. I found myself having to listen very quickly! I appreciate your attention to detail. Keep up the great work!
I’m am soooo happy to find your channel! I am a car lover (I drove a Subaru STI until recently). I still LOVE cars but my needs and perspective has changed a bit so I am so thankful for these and am excited to see more from you! Expecting baby #2 in the summer so I will be in the market for a new car in the next months! I have my eye on the new MDX!
It looks good and much like the Telluride is a good value (at msrp or below!) Nice to see Kia offering all the safety tech standard across the board. I don't think safety should be compromised at any trim level so good on Kia! Couple of strange omissions though in the higher trims. 1) No memory seats available 2) The larger 10.25" infotainment screen in the higher trims is not wireless compatible with Android Auto/Apple Carplay but is with the smaller screen!! 3) No ambient colored lights around dash and doors like in other markets. Overall though it's a nice upgrade from the previous generation.
Great job, good and smooth edits!!! My only critique would be to have the person videoing to get a good video of what you’re talking about inside the vehicle. (Ex. The USB ports on the sides of the driver/pass seat for the second row).
This thing is amazing and I think it’s worth getting the SX prestige Xline because all those amenities just make it worth it specially when your going for a lengthy car ride. I recommend this to a family of 4 even 5 specially if the kids are from ages new born to 11,12, even 13 because even as the kids grow I believe they will still fit comfortably. 👍🏽
I think this might be exactly what I need!! Expecting my first in March. I currently drive a RAV4 and I feel comfortable in that size. Was thinking about going up to a third row but I need good gas mileage since I have an 80 mi RT to work. The 3rd row appeals to me in the sense that sometimes it’s nice to be able to carry more ppl for group trips into town (pre-covid, at least!) so for most of the time I would have them down, but I like the option. Plus, loooving the black metallic details. Yay I’m going to look into this and the Atlas. Thank you!
I just got home from test driving this car and I was hoping there would be a mom review because I didn’t bring my car seat to test it out. Thank you for this!! I would love to see a Ford Expedition review 🤩
Happy this helped! I do have a 2019 Expedition Tour on my IGTV (@the_car_mom). I am hoping to get to a 2021 but hopefully the 2019 can be helpful to you in the meantime! happy shopping :)
Love the new Sorento but Kia made a HUGE mistake by leaving out the Drivers Seat Memory feature. It's not available on any trims, including the SX Prestige. This feature is a MUST HAVE for anyone who shares the driving with someone else. Kia...please fix this ASAP!
Great review! I'm a 6'4 dad with 3 tall kids. Which of the new SUV's would you recommend that could fit into a 2 car garage already housing a Sedona and fit my family?
Great review 👍 would be nice if you put one seat down in 3rd row to see if you could fit stroller… also, would lack of trunk space make this more dangerous for kids to be in the back? Keep up good work, don’t listen to haters! 👍
Even though there's 4 lower anchors and 4 tethers. It is flawed when trying to fit 3 car seats. For example try fitting 2 rear facing seats and a toddler seat and it barely fits and leaves no trunk space for a stroller.
The small trunk is a no-go for me. I have a 2012 Camry and the seats aren't supportive, and the head-rest angle is too far forward. I don't need to repeat that experience.
sx version does not have wireless apple play or android play only the canadian verision does just some info than other countries get more than us!!!and is you want wireless car play you need to go to lesser trim level and not sure why i think its bull!!
@@varunaX I was watching a review from a dealer about the Sorento and it had memory seats, contradictory to the other reviews I had seen... Then I realized the dealer was in Canada 🤣 whatever reason the USA version doesn't have memory seats. Maybe saving it for the plug in hybrid?
@@kgindpls I know so backwards....When the Sorento start putting captains chairs in the higher trims, I was out....I had a 2017 SX and LOOOVED it. then a drunk driver took her out in 21. I tried going back to Kia but couldn't do captains chairs, so now I have a highlander.....
Looks nice, but garbage cars, 2018 sorento needed new engine after 60k and my 2021 needs new transmission after 15k ... not the only one search for class action suits and problems. Oh and 2021 still in dealer with no eta when will be fixed, no loaner and rentals not covered in their warranty
Please include a “ponytail check” on the headrests for us mamas who don’t always wear their hair down. I do love your hair!

Yayy I just got one of these a couple of months ago. And I love it. 🙌🏾🥰
love that for you!! 🥳
What's the Mom bun situation in the driver's seat?
Hi, how is it doing with the transmission?
I’m so glad to see your insight on this one - I can’t wait to test drive it tomorrow. Thank you!
Hope you enjoy it!

Any chance three car seats would fit in the 2nd row bench seat? With the slimmest car seats on the market?

Great review! What colour was your tester? Looks to be Gravity Grey but Canadian Sorentos are a bit different than US spec ones.
I love my 22 Sorento!!
Love this car!
Hey giirrlll! Can you review the Sorento Plug in Hybrid?
Lol when she said spelling of the sorento on the back , i felt that!!
Thanks for honest reviews..
I love my 2021 Sorrento🖤🖤🖤
It’s awesome right. This fits my family of 4 great and love the features and everything that comes with the SX prestige Xline for the price.
I LOVE THE BIG TURN DOWN TAILPIPE ON THIS BUT PREFER THE OLD HUGE CHROME TAILPIPE WAS ALOT CUTER

What color is this? Grey?
Could you do a review of the 2022 Kia Sportage LX? Would love to see a review of the lower trim level.
Just wanted to add: you didn't include the article from the carseat lady on the bench seats!
great catch! its been added :)
Loved it thanks!
I love the hybrid option of this car but being an expecting mama....I need more trunk space for my stroller.
Couldn’t you put one seat down and still fit stroller?
Great review! I'm a 6'4 dad with 3 tall kids. Which of the new SUV's would you recommend that could fit into a 2 car garage already housing a Sedona and fit my family?
I love this very handsome Sorento.. Does SX have memory seat and Ambient light..
No Kia Marketing USA dropped them and a number of other features...
How is it that you say the Mesa fits better in the 2nd row than it does in the telluride? Is the 2nd row actually bigger in the sorento?

Quiet mode🙌🙌😍
I have an uppababy and this is my biggest problem! Ty
Looking forward to your VW Atlas tour!!
its coming.... SOON!
You didn’t show us the trunk 😩
Will u review a Honda Pilot
Will we get the Telluride as well?
Kia sorento competes with toyota venza and honda passport ?
Wow kia sorento Top up goooood
Are you sure Apple CarPlay is wireless? I heard it was not in other reviews.
Yep! the 2021 offers wireless apple car play!
It is for the lower trim levels NOT the higher trims!
If you get 8in screen then it is but if you get 10in it is not
That screen is the large version which is 10.25 inches
LED don't burn out or gradually dim either ..
We would like a Honda Passport review
Even though there's 4 lower anchors and 4 tethers. It is flawed when trying to fit 3 car seats. For example try fitting 2 rear facing seats and a toddler seat and it barely fits and leaves no trunk space for a stroller.
True, you could never uses all 4 and still have room for stroller…maybe it just gives you options for configuring…
The small trunk is a no-go for me. I have a 2012 Camry and the seats aren't supportive, and the head-rest angle is too far forward. I don't need to repeat that experience.
Sadly apple carplay is not wireless. I wished it is.
The SX doesn’t have wireless car play, but the non Xline trims do… weird - right? Only downfall in my mind.
Depends how reliable the connection is when wireless…but I always thought that was weird, as you go up trims you need wired 🤷♂️
third seat is basically for a emergency use no adult would ever use it unless such a thing happened js .
Iphone 11 11 11 @ 6:10 nice coincidence
sx version does not have wireless apple play or android play only the canadian verision does just some info than other countries get more than us!!!and is you want wireless car play you need to go to lesser trim level and not sure why i think its bull!!
How is this labeled 7 passenger and I only see "6"?
7 with bench
Hate that Kia didn't add memory seats on any trim 😕

@@varunaX in the USA, it does NOT have memory seats

Omgeeeez!!! Guuuurl!!! Ya talkin waaaay toooo fast! I love your channel, though. 😘
The Kia Sorento 2021 version is NOT a 7 pax vehicle at the SX level its a 6 pax vehicle.
That’s what I thought…but it is at the S level?

It could have been the best except Kia Marketing dropped Many Korea features.........Hyundai Santa Fe didn't, except for the 3rd row.
Great reviews and great car, but lack of memory seats is a deal breaker for me. 2021 Santa Fe is a better option with more features.
It does have memory seats
The car mom what car do you own?
< she doesn't own. she demos cars and drives them for 4-5k miles at a time.
So what’s the best vehicle for two babies under two

Where are you located for dealership? That’s horrible.. they fix it yet? Probably worse with supply chain issues
@@kgindpls they did took six weeks
When did Kia and it's sister company get so highly priced? You got your money's worth a couple years ago. They are gonna lose their edge.
All cars are higher priced.. it’s high priced as you go up trims. Starting trim beats anything comparable
I am more impressed by you than the car but I bought it anyways.
Bad interior design, the trunk area with the 3 row up is unuseful, Maybe next time Kia
You talk super fast. 😲
