In today's video, I am out testing the new DJI Goggles Integra and the new DJI Motion 2. I am taking it for my very first flight and offer my first impressions of DJI's new gear for the DJI Avata. The motion controller is a nice upgrade with a new trigger that allows you to fly in reverse and a joystick for more precise movements. The DJI goggles Integra now have a built-in battery, I was a little worried because it is not replaceable, but I was able to get in 6 flights and still had half a battery or slightly less. So it is more than satisfactory for a full day of flying. Watch my video as I go over all the new features and feature comparisons of the DJI Motion 2 and DJI Goggles Integra. A full review will follow in a few weeks.

Hey Shawn, thanks for the great video. I just got my Goggles Integra this past week and have already had 100 or so Avata flights with them and I could not more happy. For me the fit is better than the G2 with no more smashing my nose, the top-head strap is a big win, the range is better, no more battery wire, no more phone wire, the built-in battery easily lasts for my 6 flight batteries, the joy stick is better than the touch screen and the reduced FOV makes it easier for me to see the whole screen. All positive with no negative - except spending $500 more when I already have the G2. Oh well, it's worth it.
I bought my googles Integra this week. I absolutely agree with you. Better than my G1. I will try to fly with stick soon ....
Nice work very helpful as I wait for my Goggles!
Have fun!
Good first look video Shaun
Yahooooooooo. Waiting for this..💙💙💙💙💙
MIKEY
Love your channel Shawn. I really like your narrating voice, and your creative method using a first-person view with only both hands in picture. Best wishes with the move! 💛🙏🏽
Good stuff man.
Hi, good review, I've just bought the series 2 with the new controller I'm really enjoying it.
Keep up the good work 😊
Great video as always! I got the controller 2 and waiting for my goggles Integra, lol my prescription lenses came in before goggles. Looking forward to not having to attach my phone and deal with the wires!!
Loved your flight With the motion controller 2. I kept saying he’s gonnnna hit something... lol.
Totally unrelated comment for the algo: yesterday drove out to the Salton Sea (desert area in So Cal) and made a distance test on my Mini2 (full batt, no recordings or photos). Was very happy to see it made it to 11,100 feet (2 miles) at only 170 feet altitude before signaling to return home. The signal strength stayed on white bars thoughout. And I flew it back at 170 feet and it had 35% battery remaining when it reached home. 4 miles round-trip. 👍
Hope this comes to the M3
Thanks for your first impressions. I would have thought that one of the main attractions of this controller would be its ability to do orbits, especially with Horizon Steady on. In effect adding the ability to do shots like a conventional camera drone. Would you consider demonstrating this in another video?
Do any of the goggles work with mini 3 pro?
If you can’t hook the phone up to it, how do you unlock your Geo zone? I live in an area where I have to unlock my Geo zone! I’m not sure if those are going to work I think I prefer the goggles 2 also, what about head tracking?
I'm guessing you can't fly in manual mode with this combo? If not, that'll be another expense?
You didn't fly backwards
Just turn around 🤷♂️
Thanks for the review of these new products, but of them seem like nice upgrades. I don't own any DJI FPV gear, but these new products might finally push me over the edge. DJI has a new Explorer combo kit where you get these new devices, along with the Avata. Great review Shawn, and thanks for shairng.
Great Thank you. Hope this new googles will be compatible with the mini 3 pro.
Can't wait to see if you can do videos on the Integra goggles would bind with the DJI Mavic drones esp the Mavic 3 classic.
I wish DJI would just include the extra foam for different size heads.
As ever.. brilliant!!👌👌
Great video Shawn! I have the Avata with the Googles 2 and Motion controller. I will be purchasing a new Avata with the Goggles Integra. I do Real Estate Photography and Videography and see to add another back-up drone to my line-up!! 😁
Would you recommend the dji fpv drone for real estate and fun or just the avata drone thanks
@@brad346326 The Avata is the way to go for Real Estate. I use it exclusively on my indoor video tours. The Mini 3 Pro is my aerial drone for the outside photos and video.
@@GeoffBrabecDronesTech that’s good to know I wasn’t sure it the avata would be to loud inside is there any goggles you prefer
I’ve got the avata added to my list thanks again
@@brad346326 The drone is loud inside for sure, but I wear earbuds (Listen to music) and I am usually in the garage when flying/ recording. I would get the Goggles 2 so that you can switch out an old battery for a new one if you forget to charge the night before or you have more than one house to film in a day.
Super good review. I was wondering if they had put a GPS in, hadn’t seen it in the marketing emails.
Finally someone in their reviews realizes the Goggles Integra isn’t an upgrade. The only benefit is the Remote 🆔 on the new Goggles. I see several downgrades from the Goggles 2. The touch pad doesn’t bother me at all. One battery only and no battery swap kind of sucks. It’s a cheap version of the Goggles 2.
New controller is cool. If I got too close I could just rotate the Avata where it’s at and continue on. New controller is cooler, but not going to just pay almost $250 to upgrade.
the optics are improved but yeah the battery sucks i have had integras few days now the battery seems to run down quick and the range compared to my v2s isnt that great i had googles 2 which i returned because i couldnt get proper focus
@@johnford9477 I know if your vision is really bad at least the Goggles 2 already included lens you can take take to your eye 👁️ glass shop and they can do your subscription to match your eyes on those lenses and you can install those.
I got lucky my eyes aren’t so bad and can focus in and move the lenses outwards or inwards till they matched. Cannot do that in the downgraded Integra’s.
@@BlueDroneBlues yeah it’s as if DJI knew about issues with Google’s 2 and made another one with less features for some strange reason but for myself the focus was a major issue with Google’s 2 and with integras its a lot better.
Thanks, informative !!
Looking forward to trying them, but connecting to my Mini 3 Pro is not seeming easy so far. Gave up yesterday, and wasted so much time I don't have time to mess around with them today. Why can't they just make these things simple?
So what if you have contacts on? Would you need to add inserts?
Great overall review
Thanks Eddie I appreciate that
Hi, can I connect DJI Goggles Integra and Remote Controller 2? To practice in the Dji Virtual Flight simulator. It does not have a drone, only glasses and a controller. Is this possible?
I want to get it. But rather wait for the next gen version of it. Should be announced soon
only one more month now lol
@@demonhogo ahha! Yep! Glad I waited! Forget the 03 system. It's outdated! We get the 04 !
Just a quick note - I have the goggles 2 and the Avata, I've never needed to have my phone connected in order to fly (aside from the inital setup). You're not the first person I've heard mention this requirement and I'm not sure where the discrepency comes from. (I'm also in Canada). Is this something that you've tested, or is it something you've read somewhere?
Well I don’t have either motion controller only the Dji fpv controller ,,,,is the new motion controller 2 worth the money ? Personally I’d rather buy another battery although if it’s a huge thrill I might go for it
Why does it go crazy if you don't press the orange button
Thank you, I forget if I asked but can the Avata or Mini 3 pro (or FPV drone) fly in their highest sport modes with the new motion controller? Im would love to get the motion controller but not if it has been neutered in its performance. Wait I just saw sport, is sport the highest performance level?
Hey Shawn. Great video, as always. Just a quick question: Did you add a dolly zoom effect at 11:40? It is clearly shown there, and I'm wondering if this is something you did or is it somehow automatically generated. Thanks.
That sometimes happens when it’s being stabilized in gyroflow. It’ll zoom in and out automatically, depending on how much stabilization needs to be applied, which can sometimes result in the dolly zoom effect.
Hello Shawn. Thanks for your videos! In another persons video it sounded like it was necessary to only use the motion controller with the Integra goggles. I want to use the Integras with a mini 3 pro but I think here in Canada I can only get the Mini pro with the RC. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks, John
Yes they have to be purchased separately. As far as I know they can’t be purchased as a kit
I bought the new controller only because of the $90 discount they offered, DJI if you’re listening a discount coupon for the goggles would go along way towards inspiring me too pick up a new set of goggles, just saying
Any issues with motion sickness? When I played the oculus I did have issues with that product.
What drones do the goggles work with?
Why the video footage looks so flimsy ?
What is with these people using the Motion Controller 2 , and totally IGNORING the thumbstick? Is it just because, by default, it's set to be very slow? You can change that. It's full vertical and strife controls, you should REALLY use that, constantly. Your thumb should be on that joystick all the time. It's insane to ignore it!
Personally, I don’t find the thumb stick all that useful and less maneuvering out of a situation but that’s just me with the type of flying that I do
do they have any form of video in?
Unfortunately, no they do not
do thay make these gadgets for left handers
No, they don’t however, the core functionality of it will work in either hand
Is the avata and 03 mode the same? Or do I need to switch 🤔?
Good question I don’t have any 03 air units. But I’m assuming it’s like the Goggles 2 and have to switch in the settings.
Dude you have not used a single feature from the new set of the motion controller. No reverse flying, no strafing...
Dude, chill out. Life goes on.
all time streaigt right no curve....
I have mini 2 and can't see the screen in bright sun, will the goggles solve this? Is there room for sunglasses in them..
The reason why the googles fit you is because you got a bigger head then most people. Not being but you have massive chunky wrist... normal guys even that work out will not fit there face. Thank god for foam inserts but your head is gotta be huge brotha... stay healthy and do more exercise 💪
