Super excited about these updates. In this video, I left all of the settings on default, out of box so people know what to expect. I have a separate video going through changing parameters, setting and menus.
The explorer combo with the Goggles Intregra and RC Motion 2 seems very tempting. I like the integrated battery and GPS on the new goggles. And the ability to fly backwards with the Motion 2. Great review Aldryn, thanks for sharing.
The speed of movement backward, sideways, and forward can be adjusted in the settings for both normal and sport modes. The normal settings are super slow by default. I increased the speed and it feels much better.
This is the video I've been looking for! I'm not into acrobatics and my purchase to buy the Avata is for use commercially in tight spaces where it's hazardous to go in. The Avata is the drone that fits the mission. Thank you so much for posting this video. Like the rest you upload, they're all great and truly a pleasure to watch. Five stars all the way (gold not silver)
Another great job of covering the new goggles and Controller! These goggles have me wondering if I should upgrade from the v2 goggles! Love watching g you fly fpv, so much fun! Haha awesome job buddy!
Of particular note: The REDUCED FIELD OF VIEW should help with seeing the EDGES of the screens, and the new LENS INSERTS will keep you from knocking your DIOPTER asunder. The INTEGRA has GPS so you won't need to tether your phone to fly with RemoteID. Yeah! I've got my upgrade on order!
Just got this great drone. One thing that might put people off with the new Integra goggles is that you cannot get replacement lenses. I just asked DJI and they said the only way to get them replaced is to send it in for repair!! So if you scratch them which is highly likely as they are plastic then you are stuck...
@@margines711 absolutely I can. Just a shame there isn't a far cheaper replacement offer available from DJI! I would happily pay a small amount for another box of spares. Quite surprised it's not on offer...
Interesting, and thank for the video. I'd just gotten the Mini 3 Pro as my first drone back in June so wasn't ready for the Avata when it came out (even though FPV footage was what got me looking into drones seriously in the first place), but I like the look of the Integra goggles with no dangling cables and the new motion controller seems a bit more competent (but still good for a new-comer before graduating to the full controller), so I'm starting to feel the FPV bug again… 🙂
Wow that is the first time I have ever seen anything like that. I wouldn't even dare ask how much that outfit cost. I have always been interested in Drones but have not pulled the trigger yet. So cool thanks for sharing 👍🏻.
Great video! Thanks very much. Flying with the M3P, the Goggles 2 and the MC2 I had a problem with the gimbal wheel on the left hand side of the controller. Wasn't in head tracking mode but couldn't get the camera to tilt up and down while rotating the wheel. Is there a trick to doing that or have I somehow locked it?
I’m wondering if I can use that new motion controller for my AVATA, even though my AVATA, which I’m buying from a friend, originally came with the older motion controller ? Does it need an update to be compatible or does the current software work straight out of the box ? My friend sold his motion controller, so I didn’t get that. I’ve flown it one time with the motion controller when my friend first got it without the full controller and I found it very easy to use and intuitive, and I want the motion controller for when I’m asked how to fly it. I’m sure if I had it, I’d convince a few people to buy one, once they got the feel for it and realised that they loved it. If I can get more people into flying them it would give all of us who fly more voices of support when we get those occasional Karen’s who complain about everything.
Will the video on both SD cards be the same?....I see that the SD slot on the drone is in kind of a difficult spot to access...will I miss anything if I just use the goggles SD card?
I feel like the gimbal tilt is adjusting when you decend as opposed to when you use the normal controller the gimbal never tilts or adjusts, is that correct?
Hey, subscriber from Ireland. Have you developed a carry bag for the Avata. I’m looking for a bag that’ll hold the Avata, goggles 2 rc2 and 3 batteries. I liked the look of the bag you had in this video but would it hold everything?
@@FlytPath I see, is that something that you might consider developing in the future, there isn’t anything like that on the market yet, specifically with the way your cases are made
@@_deanodonoghue all in one cases are bigger. I wanted to keep mine as small and universal as possible. There are other hard cases to carry all your gear.
Head tracking? Why leave that out. Don’t you use head movement in every aspect of your real life. Why not take advantage of it here? Having the freedom to look around and do a shoulder check is awesome. Imagine driving your car and only being able to look out the front window view. Now wouldn’t life be boring?

You can change the speed for backwards, up, down in the goggle menu.

Jump on it Ron, I wanna see ya flying some fpv haha!
Man, DJI is to be commended for continually improving their products and making it more and more affordable. Bravo!
Great review man!

These upgrades have made it much more attractive into making me want to buy the Avata
You have a real talent making instructional videos, your videos / sound are also very high quality. 👍🏼
Appreciate that
Thanks for another great video. Always properly edited and professionally narrated. Great job. I enjoyed it.
Thank you for your hard work

Waiting for the Integra Goggles to come out so I can buy it. Everywhere is still on preorder. Id order from DJI but that takes forever anyways.

Very nice, informative as usual. Thanks Aldryn 👍
Cool!
I enjoyed your video! I liked how you explained the flight and how to was very good. I am looking to get the avata
I guess you can combine movements like the joystick and the trigger at the same time or no?
Another great job of covering the new goggles and Controller! These goggles have me wondering if I should upgrade from the v2 goggles! Love watching g you fly fpv, so much fun! Haha awesome job buddy!
Thanks Matty. I’m amazed how fluid and easy it is the fly with the motion controller.
Good first look Aldrin.
Looks Sweet! excellent Video again!

Fun views of Canyonside park
We did have some wind this week
Thanks for making this!
Nice review I just received this I'm gonna hopefully fly out later today..

Very cool. I'm tempted to sell my M2P and get one of these.

Now I have to go watch your earlier videos on this drone because I want to know what media you're recording to ?

Can sunlight still burn the pixels on dji goggles?
You can set the speed on the reverse.
Does that t circle appear with the remote controller 2 as well, or just the motion 2?
🎉woow😮
I’m left handed do you think the motion 2 controller is suitable?
Can you invert the Y axis?
May i ask how do you remove the watermarks on the video
I feel like the gimbal tilt is adjusting when you decend as opposed to when you use the normal controller the gimbal never tilts or adjusts, is that correct?
The gimbal can be tilted up or down with a rotary dial on the motion controller.
Which goggles do you prefer?
Integra for sure. I hated the cable.
I want to buy the whole set up, where can I buy all 3, and the spare batteries
Link in description gets you the explorer combo and then you add on the fly kit.

Not meant to hold everything. Separate cases for the drone and the goggles.

Hi
Pls which software do you use to edit your videos?
Fcpx

Aldryn dam your making this decision to buy so dam easy with your videos. lol Nice Review
Where is your Visual Observer?
Having lunch at the picnic table watching my drone as I flew near them. You can see them in the video as I flew through the trees.
Isn't it dangerous to have a battery right at the back of your head?
No as long as the battery isn’t punctured or damaged it should be fine, perhaps uncomfortable but safe none the less.
I’m surprised your still doing work with DJI after the issues with china and there military?
NOW make the Goggles Integra compatible with other Dji Drones.

Dont let the sun shine in your goggles. It will ruin the displays.
