Me, also because rumor has it you were gonna demonstrate the famous yet elusive DJI Action Dildo (formally known as DJI Motion Controller 2, a likely story, just like Stephanie Clifford and Stormy Daniels), and we _need_ to know, does it also vibrate?
I was an early adopter of the Motion Wanker as it made it so easy to accomplish close proximity shots. My father in law picked it up with no problem having never flown a drone before. Glad you gave it a chance bro!
@OriginaldoBo Ken thanks for letting me work with you on this video. Our commentary made me laugh so much. The Avata was awesome to fly and the Motion Controlled 2 was so easy to use. I really want that Avata but that will have to wait this year. Thanks again brother!
Ken, I noticed you were on N mode all that time. You can switch to S mode and fly faster. Also, if you keep your thumb on the joystick, you literally have full control as the RC. The thumb gives you the altitude and pan, in addition to the yaw that you don with your wrist. Also, one last thing. If you enable the head tracking, you open up a whole another world of possibilities for both cinematic shots, and sports flying. It takes time to wrap your head around the head tracking, but when you do, oh man, you won't believe what it can do! Great content as usual! Thanks! Craig Rona.
Stoked to see you give it a shot! I definitely prefer the Remote 2 myself too, BUT I’ve handed the original Motion Controller over to people who have genuinely NEVER flown and they have had so much fun 🙂
Ken, i love using the Motion Controller with the Avata; however, I much prefer flying the DJI FPV with the RC. I see the two drones as two different ways of flying: the FPV. For much higher flying, and the Avata for low flying and gaps. Glad you came around and reviewed the MC, THX. AND flying in Sport mode is even better!
I got a $90 credit towards the new dong controller from DJI a few weeks ago and I bought the Avata when it was first released. I'm assuming most people will. Was worth picking it up for friends to use over the old one.
@@DarwinAllen This is great! Thank you for letting me know! I bought the Avata when it first came out as well. I will definitely check out the DJI store for more info. Thanks again! 😊👍
I discovered when flying close to an airport, you need to connect your phone, it will adjust your ceiling and grant permission to fly once you check off to agree to a few questions after providing your cell number. After all clear, you can disconnect your phone.
Good review. I have this setup myself and I'm happy with it. I didn't want to have to deal with multi cables while flying. That being said I can't figure out how to unlock geo zones. Do I need to be connected to a phone in order to fly in a restricted zone? Please help. Thanks!
You were wrong before to ignore who the Motion Controller was made for and I thought that DJI was genius to include it and get so many folks flying , and if you combine with Head tracking you can make it slide, etc. Also adjust the speed in settings on Motion 2 Controller for a better flight. Simply point it up and accelerate up. Head Tracking is the key as the drone is pointed one way and you look a different way and just watch what happens. Good review finally on this product.
I see this the goggle puts some pressure on your nose and forhead, how do they compare to the bigger goggles that came with the DJI FPV as I did not get on with them at all. Cheers and great video.
I'm exclusively flying the Avata with the motion controller because DJI STILL DIDN'T LEARN THE MAGIC OF MULTIPLYING BY MINUS ONE I'm not going to do crazy dives with a 3 inch cinewhoop, but for low smooth cruising, motion controller just makes me feel good Also as a bonus, I can give it to a girl who has never touched a Mavic before, say "I'll go stand over there, get this shot" and she'll do it. Motion controller is unironically good, FPV purists crapping on it should be ignored
Awesome video as always. I'm looking forward to the new integras just the lack of having to hook up to my phone sold me. Got the new controller as well, they were nice enough to send a coupon since I just bought the combo pack with version 1. Wish more companies did that.
Nice I have the Phantom 4 prov2 but I just ordered this one for my rc planes and boats to track. I wish you would of shown your hand on the controller to show how you was using it than the view from the drone. but very nice and this will make rc plane chasing and boat chasing much easier!!
We fly the avata almost exclusively inside and the motion controller does allow you to move faster with more confidence in that environment (my experience). I also noticed that when I got too close to a wall with the normal RC, I was more prone to crashing than when I got equally close with the motion controller. Also, I've crashed the Avata many times (no ribs attached) and have sustained no damage.
Hi Ken, Different question....has anyone come up with a fix for utilizing the DJI M3ET for doing flights that allow sideways (Crab Walk) flights parallel to the panel rows? This is a big shortcoming of the DJI drones. Waypoint mission planning for these jobs would be a tedious task.
Great vid. 1st time FPV and jus bought the exact package that ur testing. Wicked easy to start flying and easy to take risks like u said. Motion stick 2 a diff maker. Appreciate your content!!
Hi Ken - Ijust watched this - I just got the intergra motion 2 combo. I don't have an Avata I want to use it with the Mini 3 pro for flying mornings in Nevada - It's so bright here Im always looking for shade. I think this gives me a bit more confidence.
One tip is showing the motion controller and how it is used instead of two similar pictures. Think a lot of people would like to see the new controls and how they are used
Sold! I'm primarily a camera drone guy but I've seen enough to want this new Avata combo. I'll be buying and flying in the next month or so. Thanks for the video Ken.
I have an Avata, but have not used the MC either yet. I have seen rookies flyers with above average photography skills make some pretty damn good videos with it though. I say use whatever gets the job done the best. I am going to try this tool next time out. That being said I thought you could use sport mode with it. Can you not use sport mode with the MC? It didn’t look like you tried sport mode.
Ok I’m new to the Avata having only used the phantom. I purchased the Avata with the motion 1 but also purchased the controller2 because I want to shot indoor stuff and didn’t think the motion would work but now after your review I’m starting to think I should return the controller and get the motion 2. I would like to try and do this as a side gig to perhaps get some real estate or other type inside work so in your opinion would I be ok with the motion 2?
I might be picking up an avata. My only issue is that high pitched squeal from the props. Are there any props out there that are quieter that you can recommend?
Looks like a blast to fly! Even ol’ B Rad was getting the job done! To buy or not to buy! (Or in this case, to wank or not to wank) The eternal question! Nice assist by Brad!
Tho I fly the MP2, I only fly with the FT Aviator joystick, and have recently added the Epson Moverio glasses…no need for a spotter either…tweaked the exp settings, so I have quite a bit of control when I crank it up…
I think the motion controller and the motion controller 2 are game changers! Maybe not for somebody who’s a avid drone pilot. For others, like beginners, and possibly someone like who is disabled, or only has one arm. It’s Just a great tool! I love it! I just can’t wait till we get full speed! I have noticed that the speed has gone up from about 30 mph with the motion controller to almost 45 mph with motion controller 2! It’s coming! I personally think with the joystick, and being your choice, you should be able to fly manual mode with the motion controller 2. It should be a choice! At least the choice of the Avata’s full speed! If you choose that option, it’s at your own risk & dollar if Crashed!! It’s a great fun drone!! Great video by the way! Love my ribbed riders bumpers too!!

😂 oh yes combine this with head tracking for a full roller coaster to open new potential with the motion controller!
Guilty!
isn't that what these are all about? always so colorful, always so true; the OriginaldoBo commentary.
Nah. I came to see what it looks like when DJI starts sponsoring influencers.
I was an early adopter of the Motion Wanker as it made it so easy to accomplish close proximity shots. My father in law picked it up with no problem having never flown a drone before. Glad you gave it a chance bro!

Can you do outside stance (eg. orbit while looking at the subject) with it?

Great video again. I’d love to know what you can’t do with the motion controller that you can do with the fpv controller…?

Not filming twice and not setting up multiple cameras

why do you get "Battery Capacity not updated ........." and how do you fix it?

So, unlike normal, your pull out game was strong!
Thank you for giving it a second chance with the V2. Making it easier to fell good about buying the combo
Motion controller v2 is really amazing and you get use to it after a few days and the sharp turns can be superb .. thx for all your videos brother🤜🏼
The new Controller feels so much smoother and accurate…reactive is the word
do you need to wire up phone to the goggles before flying? After update I can't fly if I don't connect my phone like a second screen...?
If you are not near controlled air space you’ll be fine
What is the the range using the motion 2?
Where did you get your case and bumpers? I was looking for a blue case but only found red or gray
Bumpers are found at www.originaldobostore.com
You had me at "you gotta wank up higher" 🤣
nice content and tutorial.
Can you share gain tuning settings for motion controller 2 for normal and sports mode
I fly the FPV with the original motion controller. It is double the speed of the Avata, so sport mode is 60mph. I was hitting gaps within ten minutes.
How do you use/turn on the beeper on the drone when I crash and want to find it in the woods?
Via your goggles menu.
You should try using the "Head Tracking" & "Sport Mode" for a more intuitive experience and a lot more fun..
It's windy, my avatar often pops up with a red box warning aboutthehigh winds. Great video.
I just saw your video and some of stuff I noticed. If you point straight up and down, it will go straight down or up. Plus S mode is faster. I love it so far. Thanks
You forgot to put it in Sports Mode :). Even more fun at 30mph and 1 foot off the ground.
Yeah the motion controller is a different cool way to pilot. Fun review my man!
The next thing you k ow Ken's drinking bud light after this lol 😂
Which case is that? Can it carry both controllers?
What carrying case is that? And do you think the Goggles V2 would fit without removing the antennas?
V2 goggles can fit in here with removing the inserts. It’s a GPC case
How do you, or can you, pair the MC2 with non-DJI drones?
…. You can’t it’s not designed for other drones
@@OriginaldoBo thanks. I thought so, but was curious since the goggles can be paired with o3.

Ken , how to call the drone back to auto landing ?
Just hold the pause button
Sport mode?
Brother, love your video demeanor and channel! New subscriber here here. Thanks for your work! 💛🙏🏽
This was cool looking. Great video!
Great job. Have one but haven't reach the point of flying but now I'm ready to go. Thx.
put it in sport mode for your second flight!
Hello 👋 does this DJI Avata record in Vertical?? For social media, 60frames or higher ? Thanks
It’s doesn’t but if you record 4:3 you can crop
They should add that dot to all the avata software, it looks really nice to have.
Hey Ken! The motion controller is definitely weird and not as good as the RC but when I was watching you use it I noticed something. Give us MANUAL mode on the motion controller!!! Yes the authorization is done through the DJI app on the phone👍🏾 Loving mine🎮
You just had me crying. That was great.
I was going to ask why you didn't have the TPU protectors on but then you mentioned it at the end.
"close to the airport", I am 6 miles from a municipal airport (not on the approach path), the Avata does the same for me with the warnings.
Well that changed because in order for me to fly, it has to be connected to my phone which really sucks
Bro, video quality looks awsome! Do you upgrade your camera? Also, are you using S-Cinetone?
S-Cine tone graded
Wanking with both hands 😂😂 honestly it was nice to see you review the new version,it can be fun to use sometimes but gets old fast,it is amazing to let family and friends who have never flown use the wanker.
I think it's is the future of RC radios . But does the motion 2 work with goggles 2 ?
Is made for the right hand so u can scroll the wheel with your thumb
Awesome. I use the motion2 controller on the avata and mini 4 pro on my UA-cam channel.
Great video, finally got some traction on the later flight. I have been saying the motion controller is soooo underrated... now with the V2 of that there is a lot more potential. I still have to adjust those joystick rates on mine! thanks Ken
Amazing how many people wrote off the Motion controller as a piece of junk and decided to take the low road and just criticize it yet never tried it.
Where did you get your case from?
GPC
I've made 2 videos with the original motion controller. I love it. But I did get the RC and the new motion controller 2. The RC helps me fly inside for real estate. (or at least that's the idea :))
The videos I made are flying through sidewalks with high snow piles on the side like a canyon. looks super cool.
Paul im also wanting to fly inside. Between the RC and M2 rate between 1-10 your opinion of each for use indoors.
Does head tracking work on this newer setup?
Yep sure does.
12:57 reverse grip for some added strange on the next flight...
Mc 2 is so much fun and surprisingly accurate, but I have had the avata lurch forward or back a few times. My mini 3 pro did as well when changing modes wonder if anyone else has experienced this issue?

where is manual mod with motion controller 2 ?????????????
Thanks for your work ..as always … Finally I notice that the Avata new update displays telemetry also in your smartphone/Tablet…which it didńt before….This feature is necessary.
Love the video when you join us on the Drone Seekers Sunday show?
Said this before on one of your vids. As a British guy, I love that you call it a wanker lol
🙃
Does it not have sport mode like the FPV?? That's when it gets fun!!!
Head tilt guys. Why not? Every aspect of your life you have that option of looking around. Do you drive your car with your head locked to the front view? No you drive your car forward with your hands on the steering wheel and you look to your right or left without changing your heading.
Gives you the option of a shoulder check before you commit to a turn.
It’s not rocket science. Control your heading with the controller and follow your head tracking by looking at the little circle.
Still getting up the nerve try these with my mini3 Pro.
Hi
Great video
Im sticking with version 1
Only like the standard controller
Do you mean this controller is only manual mode?? No normal or sport?
This is not a manual RC
