Afraid of the dark in concert
Most Iron Maiden s videos are out of sinck...dont sweat it...dont worry...you did what we like to watch...people getting nuts about theire performance
Sign of the cross
How does one do a paid request?
Check out iron maiden live at the hammersmith odeon 1982 beast on the road tour , It was bruce dickinsons first tour with maiden , maiden in their prime at the time and well worth a look, You'll find it on youtube easily
As an African American female, Maiden has been my favorite band since 1982! They are ridiculous live and Bruce's voice is amazing. Up the Irons!
You just had me grab my bicep and rock my fist. Up the irons!
I saw them at the San Diego sports Arena in 1985, that stage show was Amazing, especially when they opened up with Aces High. I still remember Churchill's speach to this day.
I was lucky enough to see the Power Slave tour... some advantages to being old :)
The bell was intro to Black Sabbath ,,,,, Black Sabbath ,,,,,,,, it has been used many time after
@@catboxvideo I just didn’t watch World Slavery Tour because I was born on that date. 😂🥲
How luck you are. But, at least, I watched every Maiden concert that I could since 10 years old. I think 15 times, more or less. 🤘🏼
Vocalist Bruce Dickinson, pilot, champion fencer, throat cancer survivor, and this is a fairly recent concert. He flies the band on tour. Amazing group and excellent first experience.
He can drive tanks too
He's one of those guys that's just so damn good at everything that it's just not fair..
You said it all.
Still amazing. I saw them last at Ozzfest 11 years ago now! This band never misses a beat!
Forgot Author as well...
Nicko (the drummer ) is 70 right now and still tearing it up!
60 soon,,,,,getting ready for a tour 👍👍👍
he's so talented :(
Nicko is a legend. Such good fun as a person and so down to earth.
Clive Burr was actually the drummer when this song was originally released. And he also created the drumming for run to the hills! Sadly he was let go and ended up dying from some major health issues! RIP to Clive Burr!
Nico is my favourite drummer. That kit isn't for show!
I have heard this song 1000's of times. It STILL makes the hairs go up on the back of my neck!
I only see FACTS in this comment.
🙏 Amen
THE metal song
They are the most influential heavy metal band in the world. 47 years, still jamming.
I'd go with black sabbath, personally, but they're up there for sure!
@@debbieallan5173
I'd agree with you there... but in terms of fan allegiance and longevity, Maiden wins it.
It's safer to take food from a rabid dog than to take a ticket from a rabid Maiden fan!
I say Black Sabbath takes that title, personally.
if now maiden or sabbath... for me are both more important for the music in generally than beatles or stones... beatles are so or so the most overrated band together with nirvana...
@@seelenwinter6662I agree with you on the Beatles.
I've been a Maiden fan since the early 80s and I absolutely love seeing new people discovering this band! Up the Irons!!!
I’ve been a fan since about 1984, at age 10 my friends and I that hung out, were introduced to them by one of the older brothers of somebody in our group of friends. I’ve been a fan ever since, I’m now 48.
Maiden is one of the best concerts ever. Crowd is involved in every song. Great experience
Seen them 11 times. Montreal and Quebec City since 1982. Up the irons forever!
No one can scratch that metal itch like Maiden. One of my faves since the 80s and Bruce is an amazing individual.
Except Judas Priest 70s n early 80s era
@@gypsysteve3576 nope, Iron Maiden is still better, well once they picked up Bruce on vocals.
This is just the tip of the iceberg with Maiden. Their music is crazy energetic and the vocals are outstanding. There's so much more....
In my opinion, "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner " is one of their best songs. So much talent in this band. They're my favorite
I would have to vote for the trooper. But that does not invalidate your favorite
"Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is my personal favorite, especially the live version from Live After Death. Samuel Taylor Coleridge as a metal song...pure FIRE! I think STC would have approved!
Flight of icarus from peice of mind and clairvoyant from seventh son also blood brothers off brave new world .. really like all maiden
Yeah, brilliant song but... the list is endless, Man! 👍
And what’s the moral of the story? None whatsoever. Lol
This to me is one of the greatest rock songs ever. I'm a late starter when it comes to Iron Maiden. I'm 53, and only really discovered them at 51. It was The Trooper that hooked me. Was lucky enough to go and see them live in Barcelona the following year. What an incredible show that was.
Music legends 🤟🤟
Better late than never! I couldn't imagine having grown up without their music as I've been listening to them since '84 (Powerslave) & I'm 45 so that pits me at like 6 or 7. The single greatest musical influence on my life.
Ah, The Trooper, the ultimate gateway drug into Iron Maiden. That’s the one that got me too 30 years ago.
Seeing Iron maiden at their peak in the mid eighties was like a religious experience
Tim Barry : I second this opinion! I saw them a few months ago and they sounded basically as they did in ‘82 on The Piece of Mind Tour.
@@Willie_McBride that's amazing!!
My first real concert was Iron Maiden and Accept at Poplar Creek in 19 84. Since then I've
seen them eight more times.
Correction 1985
Hell - I've seen them 13 times, and would say that I have just as much fun seeing them now as I did on the Seventh Son tour (my first). The Church of Eddie still rocks after all these years \m/\m/ Up the Irons!
There will never be another band like Maiden. Their unique sound and talent are like no other. I wish I could take you back with me. I remember when they came to America. Also, this is later on in their career. Imagine what they were like in their prime. #ironmaiden
they are still in their prime, their prime has just lasted for 30 years.. lol
I agree with you Becky. IM stands alone
Was lucky to see them in their prime in the early 80's, was my first gig ever while still at school, totally blew me away. My music taste is pretty eclectic now, but i still put on those first 7 albums on for a listen from time to time. great stuff.
I was 13yo & saw them open for Judas Priest in 1983. It formed my musical preferences for life.
I am not a big Metal fan... still own every single one of their albums on vinyl. So that says a lot: they are even loved by those who don't normally listen to Metal. The storytelling, sang poetry, musicianship that helps with that story is what drew me to them.
Hallowed Be Thy Name is arguably the greatest metal song of all time. Great choice!
This and Master of Puppets top two no matter which order you place them.
I was at THIS concert in Toronto! They played amazing all night and had as much energy as they did in the 80s! This might not be their best version of Hallowed, but it was fast and furious and shook the whole place!! UP THE IRONS!
Great reaction!!! This is a so so version of this song in my opinion. The one in Hammersmith in 1982 IS the version to check out. You have now opened the door to the greatest band ever without any media or radio support. Check out Aces High, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Run to the Hills, Powerslave, Paschendale, Alexander the Great, The Clansman, Dance of Death and Fear of the Dark, to start.... Live if possible, and the best crowds are usually in Brazil, Argentina and Chile. The 2001 Rock in Rio and EnVivo concert are legendary.
Enjoy and Up the Irons!!!
I agree... but I like the original singer better.
@@fredtello huh?
Exactly, i always slightly cringe when i click and it's this version.
Aces High was my Iron Maiden introduction to this band back in '91. A little late, but glad to get into them...
@@fredtello Bruce WAS the original singer of this song. Unless you mean original singer for Iron Maiden, then that's Paul Di'Anno.
I passed so many history tests because of Iron Maiden. In fact, I have a classics degree because of them. They got me interested in Classical Greece by way of Hellenic Greece from their song Alexander The Great.
Got me into Classics because of Alexander the Great as well, it's in my Top 10 Maiden songs
Me too! BA in Classics and Religion.
Bruce Dickinson is the Bard of our generation
I read Samuel Taylor Coleridge because of Iron Maiden (didn’t get an English degree but did get two other degrees lol). Great band. My favorite as a kid for sure! I once had Rime of the Ancient Mariner played in my high school English class and my English teacher, Kathy Palermo, played it every year for the next 25 she said until she retired. Kept kids interested in an amazing author.
Same here lol
Welcome to the Iron Maiden world of amazing music, haunting lyrics, dedication towards the fans, fantastic musicians and a singer that has no competition to face! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I never ever EVER get tired of them. Their songs are legendary!!
A bit of extra context here is that this song is an encore performance at he end of an already long show, and they still deliver all the energy. Maiden are the gold standard for delivering at a concert, and having fun doing it.
I love iron maidens transitions between different parts of the song. It's flawless. My favorite album is powerslave. Their music is almost operatic, telling stories. Bruce Dickinson is legendary.
One of the greatest things about seeing maiden live is its so obvious they're having a much fun as the crowd. First band i saw live at 13, first band my son saw live at 14 and my daughter at 14 , my daughter started playing drums after watching Nicko because he looked like he was having so much fun
One thing I think u may have overlooked….. they were live not in a studio and the sound is always incredible. I’ve been a fan of them since 82’
Keeping Janick in the band after Adrian came back took them to another level. Been a fan since Number of The Beast and forty some years later these guys still tearing it up.
Facts! I wasn't a fan of what Jannick was doing for them without Adrian but all three guitarists together hit next level!
Yeah, I saw them live while Adrian was still out doing his own thing and was kinda disappointed. Was very glad when he came back.
And Adrian wouldn't have it any other way. He was willing to return to Maiden only if that meant that Janick wouldn't be kicked out. And three guitars really worked great since Brave New World onwards.
Janick had earned his stripes, and Steve saw that. He definitely saw an opportunity putting the three of them together at once.
Brave New World is probably my favorite album of theirs, and I’m an old school head!
1st time I saw Iron Maiden was for Number of the Beast in the 80s when this song first came out and just saw them last year and they are still rocking as no time has elapsed at all. UP the Irons for life!!!!!!!!
Iron Maiden. Consistently voted best live performance year after year. The top band for giving the fans the show they want and expect to see as well as giving respect to their fans because they know without them they wouldn't be where they are today. The one metal band that doesn't need radio airplay to be successful, and the one metal band with the largest fan following in the world. Other metal bands wish they could be like Iron Maiden and have the same following and the same success. Iron Maiden... the greatest metal band in the world. UP THE IRONS!!🤘🏼🤘🏼
lotta truth
I've seen Maiden live four times, most recently was this past fall. Every single show was incredible!
I had the pleasure to see them in person while working for a hotel, and Bruce was absolutely awesome to the fans, he arrived at the hotel and pretty much jumped on the 20-30 guys waiting for them, those fans just couldn't believe it! and Janick is know for going out for drinks and running into fans in bars. Just awesome band and awesome guys
I’ve been listening to Maiden since Paul Di’anno fronted the group. I was in high school at the time. Their music takes me home and I never grow tired of hearing it! Thanks for posting your reaction video! 🤘 Up the Irons⚡️
OH YEAH!!!! UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!!!!
One of the greatest songs in the history of heavy metal.
THE greatest metal song.
the beauty of this song is that it's dark but it goes to major chords to make it more of a celebration. the song feels like a funeral - sad at first, then a celebration of someone's life. it's a work of art this track
Very well said, your view is very thought provoking. Up the Irons!!
Something to take note these guys are in their 60s now. I have been going to their concerts since 1986, so ya, they totally rock.
It’s remarkable really. Nicko is 70! Still a phenomenal drummer. Beggars belief.
They were actually the first real band I saw in concert. I saw them with accept at Poplar Creek Arena in 1985
I literally have chills. For this to be your first experience with maiden is awesome. Please do more!
You know that part where all the solos come in and before Bruce sings "hallowed be Thy Name"? It gives me goosebumps everytime. It drives near to tears. It's because the story is about a convict who is being led to his death and before they execute him, he cried out to the heavens and cried "Hallowed be Thy Name". He's crying out for forgiveness.
Iron Maiden is one of my favorite bands forever!!
One of the greatest rock songs ever. Not just a song, it's a journey !!
Arguably the greatest metal band ever. The showmanship of Bruce and the musical talent is second to none. Bruce makes the people in the back feel like they’re in the front. Seen them many times and never failed.
The best heavy metal band there has ever been! Iron Maiden was the first band I saw live at the age of 13! Love this band
They were on my bucket list. I have accepted it won't happen. I have seen most of my favorites, though. Can't have it all. For old school I caught Sabbath, Priest, UFO, Motorhead, Megadeth, Metallica, Saxon, Anthrax, Slayer, and some others. First concert was Pantera/White Zombie in '96, and just went on a binge for years. Missed some of my favorite bands for work or relationships and I regret most of it.
Me too. I was 13 in 1987.
One of the most underrated metal bands yet one of the best metal bands to ever exist!! Maiden is in my top 3 AT THE TOP!! 🤘☠️🤘
Loved Maiden since I was 14 I'm 57 they are still awesome
Same ❤
Great reaction Polo! Fear of the Dark from the Rock in Rio concert is one of Maiden’s best performances…imo
One of the greatest concerts of all time. Up there with Zeppelin in Madison Square and Ween in Chicago.
They are the greatest live rock band of all time. NOBODY touches Iron Maiden
You think? But queen was voted best live concert ever. Live Aid for 20 minutes and done.
This live concert is so awesome and everyone in the band to fans is having a blast and alot of energy.
NOBODY.
If you plan on seeing Iron Miaden live, then I highly recommend that you go and see them asap. Seeing them live is a blast and my kids abosulutely loved them. They are also getting up there in age and Bruce has mentioned it's getting harder for him to run around the stage like he used to.
Bruce is one of those singers that is just timeless, even after he had a really bad brush with throat cancer. a couple of years after this video was recorded if my timing is right.... I have been lucky enough to see them live twice, and my god, videos do not do their live shows justice. absolutely amazing to see live
My favorite fact about Bruce is he warms up by rollerblading around the arena singing their whole setlist.
Maiden, like Tool, is a deep dive (very different bands obviously). Love the storytelling in their songs, "Alexander The Great" is probably my favourite track.
They are amazing. Listen to there live after death album. Best live album in history
All members are 60+, saw them multiple times.
One of the best livebands ever.
They are phenomenal live. I see them every chance I get.
Seen them last June. Roll on this June.
@@brianferris8668, I have tickets for June too. Manchester. 👍
@@karenrobinson4632. Mine is Dublin. Seen them in Belfast last year. Awesome 👍 🤘🏻
I fell in love with their music at the tender age of 13 (37 years ago) and have been chasing them on guitar ever since lol! Up the Irons!!!
Well, let me congratulate you for appreciating Iron Maiden for their music. I've been a fan since 1988 but I always love seeing people get their first taste of them and getting blown away by them. The band knows what it's really about, not the money, the fame, the women or the ego. It's about the fans, the people that spend their hard earned money to buy their albums and go see them live. It's a lesson that many performers seem to have forgot about.
I really think this song needs to be heard on the album. Live is great, but the album version is slowed down some and much more in the vibes of the lyrics. so just crazy.
Yeah, I agree with you!
Greatest Metal Band Ever!! Been a fan since 1982
Iron Maiden is definitely a band you need to see the live performances. The album versions are phenomenal but live is a whole other level and the crowds add a lot
UP THE IRONS! Welcome my friend! This is my favorite song from my favorite band of all time.
Saw Iron Maiden over 40 years ago in Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺, awesome night. Great times, support from Australia 🇦🇺 brother.
Do the trooper next
Not in the same league
This^
My 1# since I heard them 42 years later.
It is all great music!!
This was your introduction to this band? Nice!!
Mine was the song Blood Brothers. Another good one. Heck, so many of their songs are great.
They really are the best band. I've followed them for over 40 years and seem then numerous times. Going to see them again this summer. The energy they project is just incredible and the most amazing thing is their ages, all over 60 and Nicko on drums is 70! They are a legend!!
There's no band like Iron Maiden and never will be again. They have put out 17 studio albums with many songs as good as this one. Plus their latest album is every bit the masterpiece that their older material is. Their fan base is the most generational there's ever been and their audiences are actually get younger, not older. My son is 17 and absolutely loves them. He's seen them in concert several times already and can't wait for their next tour!
I took my whole family to Legacy of the Beast: 26 year old son and his 26 year old girlfriend, 16 year old, 14 year old, and a 10 year old. They all had a blast.
Mind you, I met their dad on the Maiden forum, so I think it’s in their blood! 🤘🏻
More Maiden please, anything will do, its all fire!!
"I wasn't expecting... This energy this fast..."
Welcome to Iron Maiden. 🤘🤘
Welcome to the Iron Maiden family.
🤘🏼🤘🏼UpTheIrons🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yes!!! Bruce's voice is phenomenal! 🔥🤟Iron Maiden Deep Dive!
Welcome to the best of the NWOBHM and Bruce Dickenson: licensed 747 pilot, cancer survivor, word class fencer, author, TV and radio personality, entrepreneur, and one of the best singers in metal. Oh, and creator of his own craft beer. Truly a man for all seasons. Great reaction, horns up!
What is NWOBHM
@@zachtimm4988 New Wave of British Heavy Metal; Bands that emerged from England in the Mid-70's. Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Motörhead and Saxon are probably the most well-known bands.
The best of NWOBHM was Maiden with the one and only Paul DiAnno, the REAL singer of Iron Maiden
@@cedricbarcelona3983 I have to respectfully disagree. Most of the bands most impactful and memorable songs were after he left the band, and his drug addiction caused too many problems.
Its a shame now they just make 10 minute snore fests and are close to having more mid albums then good ones. up the irons. Also Bruce sounds like a dying dog.
My first ever concert is still my favorite.
1987--Yngwie Malmsteen opened for Iron Maiden.
Amazing show!!!
My Favourite Song from my favourite Band, still listening since 1976 ! Maiden =Epic. Thx for your reaction, good job :)
That's the energy of every Iron Maiden concert I've ever been to, 12 times so far! My husband had been to many more, but he's been a fan for over 30 years and he only introduced me to them in 2010! UP THE IRONS!!!
The lyrics of IRON MAIDEN are quite something.....pitty today nobody can do like this anymore......
They are great, my favs, but there are some good newer bands, try Trivium. Cool lyrics.
@@docrob5320, I saw Trivium the first time as a support band for Iron Maiden many moons ago. They have improved their shows since then. I think Maiden showed them the way.
Cannot go wrong some classic Maiden. Incredible band! They are at their best live. Riffs out the wazoo! Thanks for this!
I'm here on this channel for the 1st time, cuz as a brotha who LOVES metal (and Iron Maiden) I'm always here for another brotha discovering them for the 1st time!!!
Now you gotta check out Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Aces High and the Trooper!
So many many more to listen to!
and fear of the dark
Don't forget Charlotte the Harlot, Wrathchild, For the Greater Good of God, Sign of the Cross, Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Wasted Years, Caught Somewhere in Time, Revelations, 2 Minutes to Midnight, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Brave New World, Ghost of the Navigator, The Legacy, The Alchemist, The Talisman, The Book of Souls, The Red and the Black, The Writing on the Wall, Dance of Death, basically almost all of their songs.
My exact recommendations
I got to see them back in the 80's. Amazing stage show and energy. Everything was spot on.
Bruce Dickenson! Singer, Songwriter, Children's Book Author, Playwright, Theatrical Actor, Pilot, Professional Fencer, Historian, and Scholar! 💯😎
The dude is Captain Kirk, Indiana Jones, Robert Plant, and Batman all rolled into 5 foot 6 inches of absolute AWESOME!!! 🤣💯😎
Saw them in 1984 when I was 13! Greatest live band ever!
Saw them the first time June 29 1985 at Red Rocks and it changed the way I listen to music! Each time I see them they sound the same! So together and complimentary to each other! Up The Irons!
The energy they put into their concerts is amazing. They're truly one of the best live performing bands on the planet
I sure appreciate what you do POLO and your enjoyment. Thank you for reliving this with me.
I've been a fan of this band since the very week their second album Killers was released in 1981. Seen them live 5 times and even have one of Nicko's ( the drummer) sticks. A Maiden show is not just a concert it's an event. This is a band whose fan base includes the grandchildren of long-time fans and they're still going strong as I write this. A truly special band for over 40 years. And they pack the house everywhere they go on tour with their own 747 which the singer flies himself.
I came for the tool I've stayed for everything else. You're my favorite reactor
This is my favorite band of all time, they’re absolute legends. If you ever get the chance please please see them live! I saw them a few months ago and it was the best of the 7 shows I’ve seen. These guys are in their f*cking 60s and they rock with this energy the entire 2-3 hour show. Complete intricate set changes every few songs, insane pyrotechnics; Bruce even came out with flame throwers!!! Thank you so much for this reaction, love seeing a new Maiden fan fall in love with their magic 💖
I’m flying to Europe to see them in their home town this summer, WOW!!! Up the Irons🤘🏼 🎸‼️
My fav since I was 12 years old. Your smile says it all. Thank you so much for this!
Great reaction! Love it when a sharp person with an open mind learns about bands like Iron Maiden. (Have seen them twice!) Your enjoyment allows all us Maiden fans to enjoy all over again! First time I have watched your channel! Will subscribe & be in touch!!
I have been a Maiden fan since around 1983 when I was 13 years old...their live shows are the best in the world for a metal band. Heaven Can Wait is another great live song - there is one part where their entire crew comes out on stage to chant with the crowd, always an epic moment!
Iron Maiden is the 💣. No one can sing this type of music like Bruce Dickinson
Bruce's crowd control abilities seem to be a two-edged sword. I've never been to a Maiden concert where the crowd let them leave after their set was finished. 80-100 thousand people chanting "Play Again, Play Again..." in unison. They'll have their equipment half packed away and have to break it out again for an encore, lol. You can tell this was recorded at the end of a set.
"Number of the Beast" is probably the most popular song. Every reaction channel has covered it to death, but it's an awesome song.
Not sure if this is true or apocryphal, but legend has it, when Bruce split from the band in the 90s, and did his solo work, he was in L.A., and just dropped into a nightclub to find a local band called "Tribe of Gypsies" on stage, and they were covering an Iron Maiden track. So rather than introduce himself to the band, he bought one of their demos, learned the tracks, and got the manager of the club to let him preform. So the next night Tribe of Gypsies was scheduled to perform, they walked in to see metal-idol, Bruce Dickinson on stage, covering their songs. He was one of their fans, in one of the coolest role-reversals I've heard about. They went on to record several albums together. But they brought that mid 90s SoCal Latin guitar rock vibe, which worked really well.
Check out "The Chemical Wedding" from Bruce's solo work. That one is amazing (especially the Guitar solo), and a lot of Iron Maiden fans still seem to be in the dark on that one.
Also from his solo work, see:
"Taking the Queen" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Change of Heart" ⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Tattooed Millionaire" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Inertia" ⭐⭐⭐⭐
"All the young dudes" (David Bowie cover) ⭐⭐⭐
"Omega" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"The Ballad of Mutt" - Just a bit of fun, Bruce sings a Blues style song with some "interesting" lyrics.
"I'm in a Band with an Italian Drummer" - Also just for shits and Giggles, he likes to goof off, lol.
These tracks all have a very different sound to them.
Incredible musicians, incredible storytellers. There's a wealth of tracks from Maiden that will be incredible for you to experience. One of, if not the most iconic metal bands of all time.
its already been said millions of times, but you just witnessed quite literally the most talented musicians of the past 40 years to exist. UP THE IRONS!!!!!!
Ok, Polo,🎉 let's go Iron Maiden.❤😊
Glad I found your channel. I grew up on Maiden. My first concert was in 84 to see them and my sons first concert was 2016 to see them. Amazing history and musicians. You owe it to yourself if you like audible books. Bruce has an amazing life story. “What does this button do”
Also, listen to the studio mix. While you lose the amazing energy of the live show but so good. But the Rock in Rio of this is amazing too. Flight 666 Bruce flew the 747 for the tour. Well several tours.
Thanks for this truly enjoyed the sincere reaction and appreciation of the music. God Bless!
What's truly amazing is that this song is either an encore or almost the end of a two-hour show, so - Bruce has been singing like that and they've been playing like that at high-octane levels for about two hours AND THEN played this song! They just SLAY from beginning to end.
Next song? "Can I Play With Madness," or ANYTHING ELSE off of "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son."
Up the Irons!
One key thing about Maiden that we all love - notice they are ALWAYS HAPPY. They are all genuine, likable chaps who've been giving us music for almost 50 years.
I'd be happy too lol
My absolute most favorite Iron Maiden song ever!!!
Iron Maiden is a legit Legendary Band. 🔥💎🔥
My sons and I all LOVE Maiden. We all know the lyrics to just about every Maiden song. Guilty as charged! I'm a metal head Mom and I have brought my boys to the dark side with Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Metallica, Slipknot, Dio, Sabbath, and etc. Last summer, got in the car with my youngest and an Alice In Chains song came on. We both started singing it. lol Metal is life. I just realized this is the exact concert both my sons attended in Toronto, Canada. It was epic.
Maiden was my first concert in 1983. Beast on the Road tour. They are all classically training musicians. After seeing 1000's of shows of different bands & seeing them over a dozen times, they are the best live performers I have ever seen.
I'm 45 & my first album (yes actual vinyl) was Iron Maiden's Powerslave followed by Live After Death which included this track recorded live in Long Beach, CA. Bruce Dickinson os one of the most legendary front men as he has such a way getting the crowd into it, & this performance is these guys as old men & yet the energy they bring to the table is amazing. Glad you got a kick out of this as it's one of my favorite live songs.
Live was the first album I ever bought in '83 after seeing Flight of Icarus on MtV. I was 12.
I'm 50 and Powerslave was my first one as well!
Grew up with Maiden seen them twice they are just on another level! Legends!
