I totally love Jane and her music ! .. Have nearly all her albums, including with the Go-Gos, on her own, and in other collaborations, and they are all excellent .. She displays a great mix of melody and edginess, with lyrics that can be either fun or very dark .. My favourite solo song of hers is "Icicle" from the wonderful "Kissproof World" album .. It's lyrically and musically brilliant !

That was pretty fun! I just discovered and have been binge watching your videos lately while fixing my schedule and love everything about this channel and your message. I definitely have some gems you should consider -- a few from artists you've covered, but you haven't covered these really special ones. Check out 'Cameo - Attack me with your Love' -- 'Chaka Khan - Fate' -- 'Peter Gabriel - Shock the Monkey' -- and if I had to recommend one new artist you have check out for Female Friday -- please check out 'Sandra - Maria Magdalena'. You won't regret that one or any of these that I mentioned (Sandra also has so many gems from the 80s and really deserves more recognition.)

I think it’s great that Jane is still involved in music. I didn’t like the original version of Low, so I was already biased on this song. But that’s ok. I love that you’re bringing artist like Jane on the channel. You do so many reviews, this is a nice way to break up your normal format. Great job guys!

There was a British band from the 80’s that mixed Indian music with rock called Kula Shaker their biggest hit was Govinda. They should have been much bigger. Another similar band was Corner Shop great music now largely overlooked.
Brand new Kula Shaker out if you haven’t heard it. One of my favorite tracks is “Gaslighting,” give it a spin!! (And they were from the 90s) ;)

I really think that this could be right up Amber's alley at the least, but I believe both would be blown away.
I have been asking for them to review Yebba's SoFar performance of My Mind for 2 years. I emailed them about it, I commented several times over several videos. I am not a Patreon member, so I guess it's falling on deaf ears. I have been a subscriber of theirs since 1 month after they launched the channel. I completely agree with you.

This is an example of how reacting to a song while interviewing a person makes it impossible to give an absolutely truthful opinion of the song. You cannot insult our guest and thus give opinions that are a little bit too good. The song is terrible and nobody is gonna play that song on their own playlist or otherwise. The thing about great music being out there is that nobody's going to play something that's at best acceptable. Listen I Love this channel. Been following it for years but it's an awkward position. I think to give a true assessment of what you're listening to in front of the person. Who's your guest?

I’m sure you’re right that being in front of the artist is going to impact how they respond to the song but just because you find a song terrible doesn’t mean others will. It’s really not right to assume that.
It’s not like they say they don’t like songs almost ever lol. I’ve probably watched over 1000 of their videos, and the only one I’ve ever heard Jordan say he really disliked was “Tonight Tonight” by Smashing Pumpkins. I can’t say I’ve ever heard Amber say she’s disliked a song, ever.

They didn’t have an album chart in the top 200 until their SIXTH album which peaked at #87. That was in 2005. They don’t really react to stuff in the last 20 years. From what I can tell, they’ve never had a single song even chart in the United States.
Now I’m not saying that says anything about their quality- plenty of great bands stay under the pop culture radar. But Jordan and Amber pick songs that are at least somewhat well known by the public, or no one’s gonna watch them. It’s not lame, it’s just business.
