- I had the pleasure of exploring a 40 year old collection of Rare Mustangs I ran across. The 85 year old man was not only generous but full of great stories and even allowed me to make an offer on a Fastback.
You don't want to miss this episode of Lost and Found Classics. There's a few really RARE Mustangs on the property we will explore towards the end of the video. I think you'll have a good time and feel my own excitement as you watch.

Most farmers grow wheat, corn, or sorghum. That one grows classic Mustangs, a regular field of dreams.
Facts!
It's a crying shame to let those beautiful cars rot. Unbelievable 😢
Agreed!
Seriously a sad shame they coulda been inside staying beautiful as they were when parked
@@youtubeuploads7208 I'm not sure they where beautiful when they were parked.
As I’ve said in many U Tube clips before.. Only in America!!!!! Half these people hold on to these wrecks saying they have Bob or bill in the wings or won’t sell for “one day I’ll get to them “ !!! In the end Mother Earth get em !!
@@woodwelder Fortunately, Earth didn't get the 67 Fastback. I brought that one home.
Out of all my regrets, its my 1973 Mach 1! Black on red. Black Super Deluxe interior, loaded with all options, and the 351 Cleveland 4V ram air car! I had just started my family, and needed something better for them! MAN, I wish I had that car back!
69 428 cobra jet is my dream car, hurts to see them all sitting like that but the fact that they still exist is mind boggling. Would love to see them saved
I hope to be able to save the car some day. It's tucked away and I have a great relationship with the guy. He's 85 and it doesn't seem like the family is actually too interested in the cars.
I heard in "2025" they're going to start making the Mustangs the old school look, Like A reproduction 60's Mustang also the Fastback and convertible with a lot of horsepower..I had a Ford pickup truck 1971 with a 390 motor..That Motor was a real Beast it even sounded great even in a pickup truck..Also had an 80s Mustang 5.0 with 700 horsepower..Can't wait to see if they do come out with the old school Mustangs in 2025= Big-Bucks-💰💰
A buddy in high school in 1981 had a 390, 67 Fastback. That whip was an absolute BEAST and it was beautiful and in great condition
My Father had one when I was a kid, it's the first classic car I drove when I was 16.
I have a lot of history with the 67 S code. They are incredible cars!
1981 a friend of mine at maple wood high school had a 1967 fastback . I think it was dark blue metallic with two tone blue interior. It was a 390cu . I had a 1967 fastback with a 289cu dark blue with two tone blue that same year. We were the only ones in high school that year with fastback mustangs at Maplewood in Nashville. Tn. I keep my car 15 years then I sold it . I miss the mustang now. 😢
Thanks! That was fun. I'm a new '65 mustang owner.
Welcome to the family! And thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe for more fun finds like this one. I do a lot of Old Mustangs.
That’s what you call a great day in the random car searching world
It was THE BEST!
How can they mean anything sentimental and you leave them rotting and fully engulfed in the grass open to the weather.
When the kids finally get them they’ll be even more Roached. 🤦🏽 Thanks Pa.
That what I was also thinking!
These guys who do that are just fools and there are no more other things. Just sell it and enjoy that somebody wants to restore it.
@@westcornergroup4375 they get them cheap and wait for the fools to show up and pay a premium price for rotting steel. I am with you on the fact that these would be better off with a good home and restored, just don't give these people the money they don't deserve.
Sadly, you are correct. The 67 wouldn't be as bad of shape as it is if they didn't leave it sitting outside.
The 428 Cobra Jet car sits there with the window open.
I plan to go back in a couple weeks and get the window rolled up. I also hope to help him organize the cars a bit.

What is the attraction of Hoarding these cars and then watching them rot into the ground??? I don't get it ???

I'm always on the hunt for rusty gold! Be sure to subscribe,
They make a conversion kit to turn the hard top mustangs into fastbacks. I've seen people cut the roof line and weld a reproduction metal roof to the body and it looks just like a fastback mustang. Something to think about.
The coupe to Fastback conversions are very expensive and the quality of the aftermarket sheet metal is not as nice as OEM. I've assisted in a few of those conversions. This car is extremely solid from the firewall back other than the passenger floorboard. It look rough in the video but it's really not.
The best way to repair this car is with a rust free front clip off of a coupe but I'll have to save the OEM shock towers because they a unique to big block and not the same as a small block car.
The value of a Coupe to Fastback conversion is MUCH less than an original fastback because they still have a coupe VIN when the car is done.
The treasure hunt is half the fun of collecting cars.
