I learned to Chelsea chop watching you. You are the best thing on UA-cam! One of these days I’m going to make my way to Ireland and see your garden center in person.
John is such a treasure. His videos are amongst my happiest UA-cam moments. And he’s got the best soil in Ireland, what a lucky man !Lol!Love you John.
Hi John you have so cheered me up today after receiving bad news. You make gardening such a happy place love those shears they look so light and easy to use . Thanks for great video Sheila Chester
No danger of catching cold in the rain when you do the funky chicken with the shears like that John! I used to cut my lawn that way when I was first married - we lived in a house with an Anderson (WW2) air raid shelter in the garden, and our lawn was the top of it, maybe 2 x 3 metres. It felt like a lot when I was cutting it with the shears! Inside there were many many lovely little frogs. Thank you for a great film as ever :)
I really enjoy watching your videos. Like you, I tend to enter the garden with the intention of doing a special job and end up doing something completely different. I always learn something new ad laugh a lot. Keep up the good work. P.S> Your cameraman must have the patience of a saint.
Absolutely agree with Walker…the garden & garden centre both look great. I learnt about gardening in shade from John…now have 2 successful shady areas!
Thank you John for the walk around which have helped learn so much and give me confidence when things don’t work, or need moving etc. No fussing, that what I love!
Hello Mr Lord and David lovely to see you as always, made myself nice cup of tea and chocolate biscuit, pen and notebook to write the name of plant etc. The video is over too quick, time flieswhen your enjoying yourself. My husband said are you watching John Lord I can tell you've got that stupid grin on your face cheeky bugger, he's watching formula one 😜. Take care both ❤🏴
I have a bunny foo foo chelsea chopping my tomatoes! It's rather odd how unscared of me he is! I'm about to chop that bunny too! Careful John, you'll take off in flight chopping like that!😄
@@OliverJazzz Indeed. He's taste tested my hydrangeas, young conifer, roses, little gold star black eye susan to the ground and who knows what else! His Mama seems to have disappeared and left him to a large smorgasbord!
I put all my houseplants outside for the summer. We had a giant wind storm and some of the plants blew over and the evil bun buns were waiting until they could chow down on tradescantia,, coleus, purple heart, etc. Actually I wouldn’t be so annoyed if they ate it but they just bite stuff off and leave it! In a big circle around each pot. 😡. I hurl trowels, shoes, rocks, etc and am getting better.
Another great video! You can't begrudge the rabbit from doing what nature intended rabbits to do. On the other hand, if you start giving him free cider he's going to go full ASBO!
Love seeing your Rodgersia foliage ! Haven’t seen any of that plant anywhere here, sadly. Funny I saw your video title and I had 1/3 left of monstrous weeds to pull out when I had to stop for a while due to the rain here! Love getting ideas watching your videos
Hi John. Love your videos! One question please...in the beginning of your videos you show a tall spikey white flowered plant...what is that plant? It has such an excellent vertical presence. Thank you
Chelsea chopping bunny ha ha ha - well that's it I'm away to open ma gate stay next to woods - going to let them to do a wee bit Chelsea chopping for me, then away to shops for bottle cider to put outside gate, when I think they have chopped enough, to entice them back into the woods ha ha ha ha - love you John you make my day.
Omg I keep all my plant tags I ever bought and would be so upset if someone threw them out. That's the kinda thing that would make me never keep a tag again! But in honesty my box of tags hasn't been organized so it's really just a nice back of the brain thought.
We have hares and rabbits but - after trying all the spice'pepper things, we put used coffee grounds, free bags from a cafe in town. Gates no use; bunnies tunnel; find the hole and fill with dog poo or any other. Be inventive but it's an awful problem in your richly planted garden. Good luck and thank you John.
"I'm doin the work of about 10 rabbits here."

And that will be an experience in itself ! 💕

..."In to the stew!", as I always say! Rabbits are such an expensive nuisance in the garden!

I wish we had that rain in the south of France

This is my dream job. When I am able to retire I hope to find something like this to do all day.

Love rodgersia! It took 5 years to flower in my New England shade garden.
It’s raining in Saint Helens Oregon United States and I’m out there planting in the rain every chance I get. Mayahollyhock
When I was a kid we'd bait our rabbit traps with apple peelings They think it's ice cream!
Would love to see your garden in Ireland one day!
Wish that rain could come to Fife in Scotland. Hardly any in the last two months.
Hi John. Love your videos! One question please...in the beginning of your videos you show a tall spikey white flowered plant...what is that plant? It has such an excellent vertical presence. Thank you
I also have a box of labels of everything I have planted ……and killed trough the years 😂😂😂
Haha jackets are not allowed! Great video as always.
The rabbit must of had a great time in the garden 😅
Bloody hell John! You're going to catch your death in that rain without a jacket! (Love the mad way you Chelsey chop though mate!)

Omg ages since I heard that " himmin and hauin' " my dad used to say it he was a Dublin man ✨

Hello John, what are the pretty pink ground plants next to the Rose ?
Persicaria affinis I think
Oh goodness, pine needles have been proven to not be acidic in this respect. Cheers XD. PS love the vids .

The Chelsea chomp 🐰
Lad with the camera must get dizzy😂
Good Lord Chelsea chopping!
Did you ever think that your visiting rabbit is a she? And has already made a nest and had a litter of little bunnies? :-)
Can you plant a rose where their was another?
Of course.... I wouldn't if the rose before had a disease or fungus though.
Not sure if I agree with you about not mentioning to the kids not to take flowers, if we don’t correct them, how are they going to learn?
John your hair......!
👏😊
👏
Best way to get rid of the rabbit is bring in a fox.
Not a good idea to Chelsea Chop that rabbit. You'll have even more!
You think you've got problems I have possums, wallabies and wombats! Oh and there are rabbits too! 🦘 🐇
