Mr Lord, I appreciate your wealth of knowledge. I watch your videos as they pop up in my feed and THEN AGAIN over the winter. Thank you twice over!
John is a legend 💗
"If I was a Polemonium ...." Delightful!
John lord,the frantic gardener🤗
Hed remind you of a bumble bee in a way
Nice to see you again John still making me smile very jealous of the people walking round your garden Sheila
I can’t believe how much botanical knowledge this guy retains. So smart. He’s my favorite gardening expert. Also love how he’s always pulling stuff out - “the guest that won’t go home.”
💯
Big fan, glad you’re back!
So happy to see this new tutorial! You are my Garden Guru!
John Lord the Legend!! ☝😁💥
Always learning from you and enjoyable post as always. Thank you ! 🤩
I was never quite sold on Bronze Fennel until I saw it in your garden. I absolutely love it and will be getting some. Wonderful video as always!
Yes, I almost got some this year. In the end, went for dill instead.
Always love your border tours. Sit here busily taking notes so I can try some of your plants in my own garden, and work out where best to plant them based on your own experience.
Lovin that brunnera 👌
I know! Hoping mine looks a bit more like that next year when it's more mature.
Thank you for sharing your plant experiences. Love your herbaceous border vids! I always go back and watch your vids! Someone on Ted talks said, 'plants are animals that just move slow', it was a vid on how plants communicate with each other. Love learning more about plants
Very interesting, another Chelsea chop I’m going to give this a try this weekend. Love the plant referral to “a guest that doesn’t leave “ 😆🤣😆
Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Great video .good information thank you
Thank you John. I learn so much from you. I love seeing the size of the plants because I can’t tell too much from catalog pictures. To see you out among them and also how you maintain them is of great help to me. I really appreciate it and i am so relaxed and entertained as I watch.
'It's like a guest that won't go home'...LOL Thank you for the tips, John.
Dear John please, as you're dancing round your garden of sheer delights, could you say which direction the border you're in is facing, thank you x
Yes, he did that once here with that shady area, but I'd love it too if he could do that a little more often.
An artist in the garden and willing to share his wisdom, what a man
I love hearing John's opinion on all the plants!
Visited John’s garden on Wednesday as a Birthday treat. Had such a lovely time. The garden is truly beautiful and everything is so healthy. Back in England now and I haven’t stopped gardening since. It was lovely to meet you John. Thank you.
Thank you John.
New friend here and I must tell you, it looks heavenly in the background. Behind you is full of love! I'd say keep up the great work but I know your heart will continue to bless and nurture your hands and your hands and soul the earth around you! Shout-out John! Keep it beautiful!
Great information. Really nice brightly coloured thistle. The geranium in the wrong place like the guest that won't go home lol!
Sorry to hear about the frost, we had some also. Your garden looks fantastic as always! Cheers!
Thanks for reminder on the Chelsea chop, especially on the goldrod, mine is already 6ft eek..... you will have to remind us with a new video around this time annually in perpetuity.
so true!
I was going out every night throwing blankets over the Hydrangea mac, I'm happy that it is covered in flower buds now. I'll be really happy later in summer for my diligence. I started the dahlias really early in pots, planted them out in the garden in early April thinking that we're gonna have a really mild spring, happy now that I covered them as the first flowers appeared today. But this spring has been a nightmare, in South Kilkenny I wasn't hit by the cold too much, it was the storms, even yesterday winds were well over 30km, with gusts even higher.
Please make more videos. I could watch you garden all day everyday. Your passion is infectious. I live across the pond in Pennsylvania USA us hardiness zone 6.
Thanks for introducing me to the Chelsea chop. It has worked wonders in my perennial garden. I get disappointed in myself if I miss one and they flop. Like my nepeta this year. I’m going to cut it back now for re-bloom. I do not like flopping. I have high hopes for my tall phlox. Appreciate your videos and enthusiasm. 🌸
Yay! You are back!
I live in Boerne TX and the soil is alkaline in our area and it does freeze sometimes. I always wonder if your plants would work in TX.
I love watching you and listening to your way of expressing yourself☆
Most informative footage. You get so much more from seeing a plant in a garden setting, thank you.
Thanks John for another great video,I’m. Sitting out in my back garden Sunday morning 7 .30 am very early for me, but it’s great to watch you going around with such energy ,and enthusiasm and knowledge ,helps me to get on with garden many thanks again .pw
The best garden expert TV or not! Now that Gardener's World has gone so awful, can you do a video every week do you think?
Ein traumhafter Garten. DANKE!
Welcome back!!!
Great video thanks John
6.09 Years ago, I was up on Mount Helmos , Peloponnese in Greece , height over 1.000m when I saw this gorgeous forget me not wild flower .
It was masses of it and amongst the flowers I could see viola tricolour. I took a photograph of course. My ancestors came from that mountain.
Thanks John 👍
Always a joy to see your videos. Does camera man wear trainers?😊.

Love this guy.
🌼🌼🌼GOOD INFO‼️🌼🌼🌼
I love your videos. I'm watching on 7th June and have lots of tallish hardy geraniums in my garden but after all the rain they are too tall and bushy even though they are just coming into flower, could I cut them down as your Chelsey chop and still get the flowers coming?
Yay John Lord
I have a some forget me not seeds in pods so maybe try next year
Don't Delphiniums need staking though?
I'll Chelsea Chop them
@@johnlordssecretgarden Oh ok thanks. Didn't know you could do that with them.
I have had coreopsis zagreb for many years now never gave us any trouble bit this year was attacked by slugs/snails just like the rudbeckia. Could this be the same problem you have in your garden cause i also heard you mention to find this a very reliable plant?
This is like the garden version of House
I am a beekeeper and noticed new seeds or plants don’t attract any honey bees. So i am searching for old plants to plant for them. It is really hard to find them but i get a few every year. Can you mention which ones attract honey bees in your yard?
Most flowering plants attract bees some better than others and often plants with inconspicuous flowers such as Cotoneaster. Our Persicaria amplexicaulis varieties are always full of bees.
If you look crooked at them, they tend to snap 😂😂😂
Any tips on helping laurel hedge that looks a bit washed out parts a bit yellow
Nachtvlinder is Dutch..not German..Love your vids!
A bad haircut is a good haircut in a few weeks
Do you chop the sedums like ‘Autumn Joy’?
You certainly can chop back the taller sedums and they still flower that year
You will never get rid of bamboo
What's happened to the thistle? lol
Dude interupted the video with his cart on purpose cause he's feels left out for being the only one wearing that stupid mask
Please ask your cameraman to stop playing with the color!
