This is why most ppl in my neighborhood don’t want gardens. It’s too much work. When I started gardening over two years now… I’m realizing more & more that it’s a conscious commitment. You either love or hate it. This is why I admire your passion Mr. John Lord.
We just love John lord we love gardening 👨🌾.My husband marvels at the way you know all the Latin words. We can’t wait for some more gardening from you John.Until next time happy gardening 👨🌾.👨🌾🎶🎶🎶🍀☘️🍀🍀🍀
Love watching you work in your garden John, you're like a human bee, buzzing around and getting a lot done. My eldest son is a landscaper, gardener and he moves around like you. :) God bless you, your loved ones, and your garden. :)
Not true that you do not interact well with people! It's not just the plants that love you 🙂.In July 2022, on my visit to your garden center from Austin , Texas, I met your wife, your dog and, of course, YOU! You were sociable, fun and a joy to meet. So there!
We all need people like you in our lives your amazing and we just love gardening 👨🌾 and Ireland 🇮🇪 we love the place it’s beautiful people and music we love the craic.Waiting for the next time we see you.❤🎉🎉🎉😅😅😅
Just watching you flit around the garden on this freezing February day makes me believe that spring will show up sooner than later. By the way, you have the most charming smile.
Yours are my favorite videos on UA-cam! I love the knowledge and enthusiasm you share about your garden. I have learned much from you! Thanks so much.....and more videos please!!
Hello from Texas. I just in the last few days discovered your channel. What a blessing you are. I am now working my way through all your videos. I have smiled and laughed through all of them so far. Your gardens are an oasis. Thank you for sharing them with us.
That holiday did you the world of good, you are as energetic as ever. Thanks for all the advice. Im away out now to cut those bad leaves off my hellebore. ✂️
We had about a half acre of devils walking stick at our new place. Took us about two years of continuous removal of suckers to get rid of it. It’s native here and sort of beautiful but also beastly!
Hope you had a nice time-off John. And yes, when you have a garden, there is ALWAYS something to do, no matter what time of year it is. I try to finish one job before I start another, but of course it never turns out that way, to many distractions in the garden. Looking forward to your next video!
Love watching you potter around your beautiful garden John, your joy its infectious! Excited to see what you get up to this year, I wish I lived in Ireland so I could come and visit!
Planting bamboo is like inviting the devil to tea--not sure why anyone would ever do it. This is the first time I've heard you mention it's hard to control. :)
John thanks again for your garden knowledge. You are so lucky where I am I have frozen ground covered in about a foot of snow! Sign me In the frozen tundra of Wisconsin
Great to see you back in your Garden John, hope you had a great holiday. As you say lots to do in the garden at this time of year. I'm devoting tomorrow to my garden, a friend will be helping me.
I love your videos, full of interesting information and you are such a enjoyable personality to listen to. Glad to have you back. I hope you had a great holiday.
Hi John l do hope you’ve had a good holiday but it’s nice to have you back. You are on my list to visit so l will be gutted if your not there . Sheila Chester
Thank goodness the yews will green-up again. Some deer just DESTROYED both my Standishii that FINALLY started putting on growth. I moved them back into containers and have them in ICU. They grow so slow tho that unless if caged every winter, may never get make it to the height they need to be to survive.
Happy New Year! I thought you were going to use that straight bit of hazel as a stake for the mahonia! Did David forget to put the usual titles on at the start? I like the titles.
.. on attend ....🙃
I feel with Ivy like you do with Bamboo! I don't have enough time to keep it cut back. It has taken over my woods and up into my trees. 8 acres of Ivy!! 😳 My neighbor cut his off and brushed straight weed killer on the base. Only way he says he can control it.
Glad you're back John, cheerfully slaughtering the overgrown areas. NB Creeping buttercup and Ash seedlings do not confine themselves to Ireland! Look forward to your new planting plans.
Does it snow in Ireland? Just moved to Poland from California and I'm totally lost on how to garden in Europe. I just expect everything to die in the winter. Looking for some tips in your videos!
Dear John why do you trough youre debri from youre garden always on to youre path Then you have to pick it up again !,,!I always put in a big container right away You are a Wonderful gardener
Maybe some other person goes around and cleans up. My husband is a retired elevator troubleshooter and he is accustomed to work with a helper. Now when I help him with any home improvements he does just like John Lord. Plus a retired ER physician I know does exactly this thing too. 😹
Sheesh, why am I not getting the rubber plant joke!? Or do you mean like Rubber Soul from the Beatles? And who is Mr. P?! I am so clueless so I put on the subtitles and they were hilarious enough. (Kept referring to hello bars). But anyway, a lovely video, thank you! (Sometimes plants talk back to us by dying.)
Ha ha thank you. It’s like I’m talking another language, I guess. Well maybe I am since I grew up in The Bronx! Well the ignorant person asks the questions and learns. The stupid one doesn’t ask😹
I love how John Lord shows us that real gardening means moving everything about and take a few or a lot of things out, and of course, cursing at airplanes.
Hi Yes i love the way John gardens. He has got a large plot so he seems slapdash but he just gives us an idea of what he is doing. Must be TERRIBLE having the flight path changed. None of us seem to have a say in things anymore. We are just paying humans who are given no regard to how we are handling and helping climate change😁

Good to see you back. Your enthusiasm is so infectious, i want to go out right now and move some plants. trouble is it's almost midnight!
It only made it to 20F, but I am sowing indoors.
Night vision goggles… 🤣

I think John's spirit animal is a hummingbird! Good on the camera person for keeping up.
Love watching you work in your garden John, you're like a human bee, buzzing around and getting a lot done. My eldest son is a landscaper, gardener and he moves around like you. :) God bless you, your loved ones, and your garden. :)
You give me excitement to go out in the cold and work on pruning

We had about a half acre of devils walking stick at our new place. Took us about two years of continuous removal of suckers to get rid of it. It’s native here and sort of beautiful but also beastly!
So glad you are back. You were much missed .
Hiya John Lord
You are so right. You don't have to look for something to do...the garden tells you what to do💞
Glad to see you back always enjoy watching you. I relate better to plants Also.
Hope you had a nice time-off John. And yes, when you have a garden, there is ALWAYS something to do, no matter what time of year it is. I try to finish one job before I start another, but of course it never turns out that way, to many distractions in the garden. Looking forward to your next video!

Great to see you back in your Garden John, hope you had a great holiday. As you say lots to do in the garden at this time of year. I'm devoting tomorrow to my garden, a friend will be helping me.
I never had creeping buttercup until I brought it in with a load of mushroom compost
I've been cleaning out all my garden debris and pruning as well. Soon the seed starting will begin. I get so excited for spring
I love your videos, full of interesting information and you are such a enjoyable personality to listen to. Glad to have you back. I hope you had a great holiday.
Hello and welcome back it's lovely to see you. happy imbolc both ♥️🏴
Welcome back John.
👋👍😀😀
So glad yr back John. Yr video has cheered me up & motivated me again, as my garden is looking destroyed by the winter damage here in north Somerset.
Great to see you back!
Good job dear
Love your videos John, you are my favorite gardener.❤
Hi John l do hope you’ve had a good holiday but it’s nice to have you back. You are on my list to visit so l will be gutted if your not there . Sheila Chester
Hello , enjoyed your video and just subscribed . I'm doing similar jobs in my garden at the moment too 🌿🦔🦋
I do the same thing with my hellebores!
Thank goodness the yews will green-up again. Some deer just DESTROYED both my Standishii that FINALLY started putting on growth. I moved them back into containers and have them in ICU. I hope I grow old like this man...LOL
What do u mean, old!
Loved your joke lol
Happy New Year! I thought you were going to use that straight bit of hazel as a stake for the mahonia!
Did David forget to put the usual titles on at the start? I like the titles.
Yes, me too, until I saw how short it was.
That is exactly what I thought he was going to do:))
Hi John Lord 💗
Get this fella on telly, he’s great

I would take out that bamboo next to where you replanted the mahonia….I think, it would look better with something else!
Why are plants bad cheerleaders?
Because they’re always rooting for themselves.
Oh no! Too funny!
Oh that joke was funny!
Hurrah from up a mountain in mid Wales
Glad you're back John, cheerfully slaughtering the overgrown areas. NB Creeping buttercup and Ash seedlings do not confine themselves to Ireland! Look forward to your new planting plans.
HELEBORES are a deep shade plant here in the SE. Georgia
They get a lot of rain in Ireland, and mild temperatures.
You could try to borrow a panda from the zoo for bamboo control.
Does it snow in Ireland? Just moved to Poland from California and I'm totally lost on how to garden in Europe. I just expect everything to die in the winter. Looking for some tips in your videos!
❤
I just keep it simple with hellebores every spring when I see the flowers poking up I cut all the old foliage off and thats it for the year

Because they’re good at it.
