Longer the better, i love to binge to watch all your videos. They are so inspiring and make you feel energised even for a useless chocolate teapot like me. You are absolutely wonderful not to mention your sense of humour, you are an absolutely a breath of fresh air. You do real gardening unlike gardeners world etc. you are a sheer joy to watch and listen to. Also the only person whose mother like mine said gypsy-filly she also said Cotton-Easter for Contoneaster. ❤️
Today is my favourite day! There's a mad man catching frogs in his gorgeous garden! Wood anemone I love it, having a hard time finding it for my garden but not giving up! Thanks for all the information and pruning lessons. Cheers!

Never worry about the video being too long - I saw 35 minutes and settled in for a lovely break (between classes - we are once again in lockdown so I am teaching virtually). Here in Ontario (we are Zone 5b), we are having an unusually warm April, and I have been out checking out my garden, trying to decide what and when to prune. Lo and behold, you share a video about pruning! Very timely.

Ha ha - smashing knuckles with loppers , done that a time or two . Weathers bad , seen lots of frost/ wind damage this year on normally very hardy plants . Slow growth . Cheers John✊ all the best

The states (at least zone 6 central standard) had unusually warm weather then it came back to remind us who is in control! Needless to say my big leaf hydrangeas got a bit of a frost on them also. Here's to hoping the blooms are not effected! It will be their first year to bloom in my garden!

I was gonna say you must be close to the water with the gulls bawling.
My neighbor's yard is a complete mass of weeds and my ivy keeps the weeds out so, I do think it has it's uses. I just go after it with the hedge trimmer every few weeks.

Does anyone know how John manages to create those weed free gravel paths?
I find ivy grows slow across the ground and keeps moisture in. I think it gets a bad rap. Much like the dandelions.
