I was at Chris's last show in Detroit, the night he passed. We had 2nd row so it was really surreal. He was reunited with his original band, Soundgarden. Something was amiss. He was off on his vocals and didnt sound good, but he smiled a lot and seemed to be having fun. There is a whole story behind this, but I will not get into it. RIP Chris!
If you want to hear some more good stuff, try his Songbook acoustic live album. I did see that tour as well. Just him and his 5 guitars, he was amazing. Any song on that one will do. There is a live video of Chris singing “I will always love you.“ It was at a political fundraiser the day after Whitney Houston died. He did it as a tribute to her. Every time I see that video I start crying. Such a great rendition I think you would like it.

You always react to the best stuff. Cornell has to be in the conversation for top 5 male vocalists of all time, and can be argued for the number one slot. I'm not greedy, though, as long as he's there. He will be sorely missed. No one sings like you anymore-.- For some more of Chris' slow, bluesy work, do some Audioslave's I am the Highway or Getaway Car, or for a more vocal representation of him, do the official vid of Audioslave's Cochise. He also was the lead for Soundgarden, which is heavier. Maybe some Pretty Noose or Blow up the Outside World by them? Love your vids, and thanks for this one.

Also he’s song I promise this is not goodbye was amazing but the back story to that song and how it came to be is even more so.
