This entire album is a tribute to Andrew Wood, the singer for "Mother Love Bone" who died from a drug overdose (was also friend and roommate of Chris Cornell). The band, along with Chris, wrote maybe the best single album of the era, filled with amazing, heartfelt songs, and even got their new singer to duet with Chris on the song "Hunger Strike." I'm amazed at how many people review and love Temple of the Dog but don't go down the mother love bone rabbit hole. Andy Wood was the link between what was and what became of music. Not to romanticize his death but I feel like his passing was almost necessary to turn grunge into what it became.
Chloe Dancer/Crown Of Thorns and Man Of Golden Words are definitely my favorites. Songs from "Temple Of The Dog" I love the most are "Say Hello 2 Heaven", "Hunger Strike" and "Wooden Jesus". Chris really did some crazy things with his voice in the latter, but the whole album is great - there's not a single song there I wouldn't like.

Also Chis and Eddie were neighbors in their apartments when they were starting their careers. Chris lived with Andrew Wood from Mother Love Bone and he died of an overdose at a very young age. Temple of the Dog was a sort of tribute to Chris's best friend. Eddie actually stumbled onto this track because Chris was messing around with it in front of him and he started singing the lower octave notes. Mother Love Bone to Temple of the Dog basically was what founded Pearl Jam. Andrew Wood was honored in the most amazing fashion you ever could be. He literally created a new genre. RIP to all of those legends. Chris is arguably my favorite vocalist of all time at this point, his loss resonated so hard.

I’ve got a cool story about Eddie Vedder. First I worked for an insurance company back in the day in the special lines field and remember actually speaking to Eddie about his boat policy! He said enjoyed calling instead of his agent! Very down to Earth and later we were able to meet at a Seattle Pearl Jam show so he was able to put a face to the voice on the phone 📱. Something I had forgotten to mention about Hunger Strike in the last video, Chris had originally been trying to do the low notes and couldn't get his voice to go low enough. I think Eddie was watching and he stepped up and did those notes, and the rest is history. And Chris' vocals around the time that Hunger Strike was made involved a lot of belting, which I think is pretty prevalent on almost any song he did on the Badmotorfinger album. "Searching With My Good Eye Closed" is one song from Badmotorfinger that you can find a live performance of on Soundgarden's channel, and some various other performances from the 1992 Paramount Theater concert floating around on UA-cam. Chris has done some duets with other people, but the most notable I can recommend are the songs that he sang with Chester Bennington. They were great friends, and he or Chester showed up at each other's concerts from time to time to sing together. There's a video of him singing "Crawling" with Chester and another where Chester sings "Hunger Strike" with him, and they sing the opposite lyrics (Chris sings Eddie's part and Chester sings Chris' part). Chris is also great at doing any cover he wants to do, like "Nothing Compares 2 U" (there's a version where he and his daughter sing it too).
Hearing Chris voice makes me tear up because soundgarden was my go to band to listen while I’m at school and when I needed to be alone and do a lot of thinking but it still makes me sad
I enjoyed Chris Cornell in most of his ventures, both in Soundgarden and Audioslave, but also in Temple of the Dog, and his solo work. His album 'Euphoria Mourning' remains a personal favourite; dark and beautiful, much like Chris himself🥰 I've been a fan of his for many years; the main attraction has always been his voice, but more and more I've come to appreciate his songwriting 😊 Thank you for reaction, Aileen! Always great to see you enjoying great music 🥰
This entire time frame of music is the best I’ve ever seen, I’m 48. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, soundgarden, stone temple pilots, smashing pumpkins, Alice In Chains It was carte blanch😁🍺 why I did drugs more than regular maybe, sometimes
Great reaction, Aileen. I think your next reaction should be the song "Alive" by Pearl Jam. "Alive" is one of the singles from Pearl Jam's first album, which is called "Ten", and for me its their best song. "Alive" is partially an autobiography of Eddie Vedder. An excerpt of the lyrics talks about when Eddie was a teenager and his mother told him that the man he believed was his father was actually his stepfather and his biological father was dead. He never knew his biological father.
Only a few days after Chris took his own life, I can't remember if Eddie was on a solo tour, or with Pearl Jam, but at a concert he did a solo performance of Black and dedicated it to Chris. You should check it out.
🥰🥰🥰🥰So happy you've finally been introduced to this iconic Grunge song and duet by Chris and Eddie. Their voices were made to go together.😊 To get to know Chris and his body of work better, my first thought was that you check out "OUTSHINED" with his original band Soundgarden. It's a freaking rocking tune with a deep meaning and bonus: Chris is quite easy on the eyes in the video!🙃🤗 For a little taste, here's a snippet from one of the verses the lyrics... -"Well I just looked in the mirror and things aren't looking so good... - I'm looking California but feeling Minnesota... oh yeah. - I'm feeling outshined, outshined, outshined, outshined oh yeah" -Chris Cornell 1991❤ Anyway, no matter what song you choose next from Chris from any of his bands/collaborations or solo work... you can't go wrong!!! He was one in a million!!! Great reaction as always. Peace and light to all...💞 🙏Rest in sweet peace Chris, "no one sings like you anymore"...😢
@AileenSenpia You're probably going to see a lot of people commenting "no one sings like you anymore" in regards to Chris soooo... I thought it might be helpful for you to know that is actually a line in one of Chris' biggest hits "Black Hole Sun" with his band Soundgarden in 1994. Even though it's a line in one of his songs... with Chris' passing the words hit different. For all of us who loved him and his music, NO ONE sings like him anymore. Hope this was helpful. Love your channel.❤
Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder were very close. Eddie almost looked at Chris as an older brother. When he died, Eddie was absolutely devastated, and has spoken of still struggling with it. On Pearl Jam’s latest album, Gigaton, the song “Comes Then Goes” is basically all about Chris. Would love to see you dive deeper into PJ, and Eddie’s solo work.
@@rubentullenaar2934 Actually, that one is a little more vague. It was supposedly inspired by a number of people. One was Eddie’s actual younger brother, Chris Mueller, who died in an accident in 2016. And Eddie himself also said it was partly about a man he knew, named Jeremy Richman, who lost his daughter in a school shooting. They had become good friends before the man committed suicide. So, “Brother The Cloud”, was probably about more than one person. Eddie has lost so many people over the years.
One of the best of all times. R.I.P. Andrew Wood...Mother Love Bone would have became the leader of the Seattle scene had he not passed. Call me a Dog, Say Hello to Heaven, Four Walled World, Wooden Jesus, Reach down. Not a bad track on the entire album.
Great song that never gets old no matter how many times you hear it. One of those few songs that stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard it on MTV. Cornell had invited Eddie Vedder to take part in this song between the eventual members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, which was already formed. Cornell saw the talent that Vedder had and didn't listen to the jerks that didn't want to accept Vedder into the Seattle music scene because he was from San Diego. Not only was Chris Cornell an amazing artist but he had a good heart.
I passed up an opportunity to see Soundgarden live many, many years ago. A friend called me last minute with an extra ticket, but I just didn't feel like going (I don't remember if I had other plans that night, but if I did, they could have been canceled.) I was, however, lucky enough to see night 1 of the PJ20 concert in 2012 and got to see all of the original members of Temple of the Dog play a few songs in the middle of Pearl Jam's set, the first time (I believe) they played live in that configuration since 1992. Eddie Vedder sang on Hunger Strike, but just kind of sat in the background and vibed out while Chris Cornell belted out a few other Temple of the Dog songs. Great show and I'm glad I got to see that.
yeah, us 90s kids had no idea how spoiled we were at the time, just shear legends at 19-20yrs old, as an older adult now, i look back at everything now and in AWE of how 18-20 yr old's could write sing and perform at the levels they did " same with anything ie. skateboarding, skiing snowboarding, anything in general, music too... Cause i look at what i was doing at that age. it makes me feel like i was a lump of shit.....bc as with anything its a little bit of talent and shear will and drive that got them to these levels of mastery... that's what i feel is missing with this young generation.... very rare to see a kid spend hours a day for months /years practicing something until it happens....when i was young just in my neighborhood 5 of us skateboarded and we practiced 3-4 hrs.' a day for months through years and we got pretty good, but it was my friend every time we took a brake he stayed out, when it got dark he'd find a way to light the area; when it was raining he'd work on stuff that the rain would help like flat ground, i stayed in and kept dry, but i digress he became a monster on a board, and during the time we'd be out and we would always say "your just so damn good and lucky your gifted", but it wasn't till later i realized how many more hours he put in, all those nights we in cooled off drank water and relaxed for a bit, which seemed like 20-30 min added up over months and years. Nothing works better than HARDWORK, DRIVE, DETERMINATION
So amazing seeing someone discover this masterpiece for the first time. Chris, Eddie, Layne, Kurt and even Scott with STP.... you really cannot go wrong. The rabbit hole of grunge is plentiful. The grunge era was such a gift to all of us. Some may be gone, but the gift of their music continues to deeply touch us to this day.
I’m so glad you got to hear this. It was such an influential, monumental song when it first came out. Top tip: listen to the soundtrack to the film “Singles”. It is virtually a who’s who of early grunge.
My older brother and I always duet this song whenever we are just driving around. He does Chris's parts and I do Eddie's (his range is higher than mine, so Eddie's is easier for me). It's one of those things that I will always cherish, and Chris and Eddie made moments like this possible for millions of more people around the world. R.I.P. Chris, you'll be forever missed ❤
When this video came out, Pearl Jam wasn't out yet. I saw this guy with this voice and was immediately in love. Anything from the Temple Of The Dog album is amazing, but especially "Say Hello 2 Heaven" which to me is Chris's best work. Also his work in Soundgarden, particularly "Slaves & Bulldozers". They'll send a shiver up your spine, but it's a glorious shiver.
This came out when I was 18 and on my day off work. I bought the tape...put it in my sony walkman...with extra AA batteries in my pocket...and went to high park in Toronto...and listened to it over and over again...I will never forget that day.
When I first Chris “burst” on the scene with Soundgarden I said to my friends “That right there is probably the last “great” rock singer!” My view of the future being limited as it was at the time🤭😆but you know I don’t know but what I still feel that way even after all this time. That’s how impressed and deeply affected I was by his voice and Eddie’s as well! Honestly between those two is what “finally” sold me on grunge and caused me to want to explore it further. My heart ♥️ was so heavy for a while when I heard about his passing. I thought Oh God, what a waste. He could’ve done so much more. It’s just so sad. I pray he’s not in pain anymore 🙏
As mentioned...Chris and Matt (from Soundgarden) and Pearl Jam members (minus drummer) formed and recorded this 'Album' in tribute to Andy Wood; singer of Mother love Bone. Andrew was friend and roommate to Chris Cornell. And two PJ members, Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard, were members of Mother Love Bone before Andrew died. Andrew died in 1990, just months after the recording of their first album 33+ yrs ago. But it, Apple, is a good album. I have it on CD, and still play it often.
Staley, Cornell, Moon, Bradley, Cobain, Weiland. Several bands I grew up listening to who are either no longer together or have different singers. I loved listening to the radio late at night because of these guys.
So blessed to be from the Pacific NW and to have grown up with these amazing vocalists. I love them all. Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Nirvana, and my boys Alice in Chains!! ❤
There is UA-camr called the Professor of Rock and he does a great job of telling the history of this song, it is worth checking out. I'm at work and desperately fighting to hold back tears after first watching your "Black" and then this review and failing a little bit. I was in high school when all these bands hit it big and watching you go throught similar emotions that I did at 15 was like going back in time. Thank you.
I started high school in 91 when Soundgarden and Pearl Jam were getting big. Their voices along with Staley and Cobain define the sound of our generation. When you're ready, and when you've explored his some of the rest of his catalog do his cover of Nothing Compares to You (Written by Prince, Famously covered by Sinead O'Connor). That one though... whew. It's Solo (vocally) Acoustic and only a couple of years before he passed.
Ur in for such a treat Aileen Eddie vetter and Chris Cornell this is such a phenomenal song excellent choice!!!💯💯😁👏👏👏👏also temple of the dog did an entire album not just this song...
What’s even more magical is Chris brought these great talents together before there was even a Perl Jam. This is Eddie & Mike McCready’s first studio recording ever. Eddie was flying up from San Diego to work with what members existed at the time. To say Chris had a musical vision by giving Eddie & Mike room to showcase their talents is a huge understatement to say the least. Chris & his wife (Susan Silver) did the same with Jerry Cantrell & Alice & Chains by giving them a place to live while they got discovered. Susan doesn’t get enough credit for being the key force to what’s now know as the “grudge movement”. She is the godmother of grunge, undisputed!
This song has been on my playlist since 1991. To this day, it is one of my favorite songs, any day, at any time. Great reaction! Gotta love the 90's grunge attire! haha
Chris did a version of Nothing Compares 2u that will make you cry. Eddie did a tribute to Chris after he passed that will make you cry even harder. These guys loved each other and Eddie was devastated how things went down with Chris.
If you want a real tear jerker then watch his daughter sing that song as a tribute.. I full on sobbed.. there's another version when she sang it live with him and as soon as he sees she's confident he just shuts up and let's her sing.. also a beautiful video and why she used it for the tribute..
I was fortunate to catch these guys in their final Seattle performance at the Paramount Theater when they went on tour (sans Eddie) a few years back, shortly before Chris's death. I feel so fortunate to have experienced that truly Seattle moment.
Others have said it already, but I'll add my voice - "Say Hello to Heaven" is a MUST listen. It's a phenomenal song, and a phenomenal performance by Chris!
I love going back to this record every now and then. There were some amazing tunes written by this band of grunge brothers, who came together to create such a beautiful and colossal album. The interplay between Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder on the song alone is remarkable. But you also can ignore the musicianship between everybody. This is just one of those once in a lifetime albums that, even though they only had one record, it is timeless and quite a masterpiece in its own right. You should really explore more from this record. There are a lot of bangers on this album. And man do I miss Chris Cornell!
This is one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are even more relevant today. The vocal performances were awesome. I was waiting for your reaction when Chris first opened it up. Part always gives me chills.
These two mens' voices pair absolutely perfectly Also, there is an absolutely stunning live version of this where Chester Bennington (RIP) comes in and sings some of the parts. It's f****** amazing
I love this song. One of my favorite parts about the video is they're like, "Hey Chris, we're gonna start with a dramatic shot of you singing in the shadows with some cool lighting, and then have you shredding the guitar on the sand dune while the wind blows your hair back. Uhh... Eddie, you go sit in the bushes over there and sing." lol
If you want to hear a young Chris Cornell, check out Soundgarden "Beyond the Wheel" live in Germany 1990. He turns it up and breaks the knob in that performance.
Chris Cornell was such a talented music artist! He may be gone but he lives on through his music. He had a talent like no other. Him and Chester Bennington were actually friends. It’s said that Chester took his own life on Chris’s birthday. Such a haunting thought. I miss them both so much! Loved the reaction much love and support.
This song was actually the first time that Eddie Vedder was heard on a recording, he was in Seattle to audition for the position in Pearl Jam and happened to be in the studio when the song was being recorded. The story goes that he walked up to one of the mics and started singing along with Chris adn the rest is history.
Vedder was virtually unknown when this was made. He was asked by Cornell as a way for the new singer of the new band(now known as Pearl Jam) to fit in with the music family of Seattle. The whole album was a tribute to Andy Wood(one of Cornell's best friends and roommate). Cornell was the voice of my generation and is sadly missed dearly!
considering Temple of the Dog was released in April of 1991 and Pearl Jams 10 was released in August of that year I would say he was already well know by record producers and fans well enough to sign them to a recording contract!!!!!!!!
This song is transcendent. The harmonization is mind-melting. I’m glad you reacted to it, because everyone should know this song. Can’t remember what Pearl Jam songs you’ve already done, but if you haven’t heard Black yet, you should. Otherwise, a few more Pearl Jam recommendations: Release Corduroy Daughter Nothingman Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
Also, Eddie has released a few solo projects, I think the best being the soundtrack to the movie Into the Wild. I would recommend a song called “Hard Sun” from that album.
My sister and I used to sing this song Acapella when I was growing up. Still one of my favorites to this day. So awesome to see you checking out the oldies from my generation. Timeless music 🎶🎶
It's a tribute album from Chris Cornell for his now deceased roommate Andrew Wood. Cornell wrote a couple songs when he went on tour with Soundgarden in Mid 90. When Soundgarden came back to Seattle he approached Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament as they were in Mother Love Bone together with Andrew Wood. The rest is history. Pearl Jam wasn't even a band yet when the recording sessions happened in late 1990. Times Of Trouble and Footsteps are the exact same song but different lyrics.
Chris and Chester Bennington have done this song also, and its an amazing version. Treat yourself. 2 best friends that are gone too soon. RIP both of these amazing singers
theres a live where he brought his daughter and son onto the stage and man it was so fcking wholesome and just beautiful it makes me ball everytime i see it
I can remember hearing this song on the radio at age 10. It connected immediatley with me. Then it dawned on me that this was both Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornel. Pearl Jam and Soundgarden were such inspirations of my musical tastes in the 90's. Them together? It blew my mind.
First verses from the song "Man Of Golden Words" from the Mother Love Bone album: "Wanna show you something like A joy inside my heart Seems I've been living in The temple of the dog" Just in case you were wondering, how did they come with the name of the band/title of the album. Also, you really want to react to this song, too - trust me, it's worth it.
I want thank you from every part of my heart! My brother introduced me to this band via this song. Seeing your reaction reminds of mine. He's been goon 4 years now. This brought tears to my eyes! THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you for reviewing this song, your words are very real like i said them myself in my head 30 years ago, this was the pinnacle of grunge along with sap e.p.by alice in chains for me , Chris's songwriting was insightful and still holds true over 30 years later, hunger strike speaks volumes to this day a timeless classic of power vocals and meanigful lyrics, love it.
There have been great duets over time, many female/male ones that are fantastic, and too numerous to name any here. But, as far as two male leads go, I've thought this was the best duet I've ever heard... and I've thought that for the past 30 years. This entire album was great, as was the Mad Season Collab.

- I'm looking California but feeling Minnesota... oh yeah.
- I'm feeling outshined, outshined, outshined, outshined oh yeah" -Chris Cornell 1991❤
Anyway, no matter what song you choose next from Chris from any of his bands/collaborations or solo work... you can't go wrong!!! He was one in a million!!! Great reaction as always. Peace and light to all...💞
🙏Rest in sweet peace Chris, "no one sings like you anymore"...😢
@AileenSenpia You're probably going to see a lot of people commenting "no one sings like you anymore" in regards to Chris soooo... I thought it might be helpful for you to know that is actually a line in one of Chris' biggest hits "Black Hole Sun" with his band Soundgarden in 1994.
Even though it's a line in one of his songs... with Chris' passing the words hit different. For all of us who loved him and his music, NO ONE sings like him anymore. Hope this was helpful. Love your channel.❤
Chris was such an absolute legend. Eddie is all we have left from Seattle, well aside from Jerry Cantrell... gotta give him his props as well.
Would love to see you dive deeper into PJ, and Eddie’s solo work.
yes they were very close they had the same mother.😀

I beleive “Brother the Cloud” is about Chris ?
@@rubentullenaar2934 Actually, that one is a little more vague. It was supposedly inspired by a number of people. One was Eddie’s actual younger brother, Chris Mueller, who died in an accident in 2016. And Eddie himself also said it was partly about a man he knew, named Jeremy Richman, who lost his daughter in a school shooting. They had become good friends before the man committed suicide. So, “Brother The Cloud”, was probably about more than one person. Eddie has lost so many people over the years.
@@maggieshevelew7579 thanks 🙏🏻
This is a legit AF song. The whole almbum actually.
@@ashamanbrian Damn right!
This one of all time favourite song growing up.and favourite singers Eddie vedder and Chris Cornell rest R.I.P.😢.
Two of the best voices of the 90's singing together. One of my favorites
yeah, us 90s kids had no idea how spoiled we were at the time, just shear legends at 19-20yrs old, as an older adult now, i look back at everything now and in AWE of how 18-20 yr old's could write sing and perform at the levels they did " same with anything ie. skateboarding, skiing snowboarding, anything in general, music too...
CHris COrnell's voice is heartbreakingly hauntingly epic
So amazing seeing someone discover this masterpiece for the first time. Chris, Eddie, Layne, Kurt and even Scott with STP.... you really cannot go wrong. The rabbit hole of grunge is plentiful. The grunge era was such a gift to all of us. Some may be gone, but the gift of their music continues to deeply touch us to this day.
I agree ,,, what voices together,l miss that voice he had a voice,,
I’m so glad you got to hear this.
YOU HAVE TO DO SAY HELLO TO HEAVEN!!!
when eddie comes in is great for me, some indian deep thing
When this video came out, Pearl Jam wasn't out yet. I saw this guy with this voice and was immediately in love. Anything from the Temple Of The Dog album is amazing, but especially "Say Hello 2 Heaven" which to me is Chris's best work. Also his work in Soundgarden, particularly "Slaves & Bulldozers". They'll send a shiver up your spine, but it's a glorious shiver.
Your reaction is appropriate. So many people react the same way.
Chris and Eddie were neighbors for a long time. Eddie Taught Chris’s oldest daughter how to surf. They were very close at one time.
BlackRain
Temple of the Dog Pushing Forward Back "all my kings have fallen down... fallen heroes feed the ground"
I really don't know how you dont have 5 million subs. Your channel is fucking fantastic!
♥️♥️♥️
This song has been on my playlist since 1991. To this day, it is one of my favorite songs, any day, at any time. Great reaction! Gotta love the 90's grunge attire! haha
Chris did a version of Nothing Compares 2u that will make you cry. Eddie did a tribute to Chris after he passed that will make you cry even harder. These guys loved each other and Eddie was devastated how things went down with Chris.
MUST WATCH!!!!!! (Grab Tissues Before you Watch!)
Definitely get this one !!
If you want a real tear jerker then watch his daughter sing that song as a tribute.. I full on sobbed.. there's another version when she sang it live with him and as soon as he sees she's confident he just shuts up and let's her sing.. also a beautiful video and why she used it for the tribute..
Stop crying
I cried when I learned that Chris passed away...well he was killed...end the child sex trafficking!!!
I was fortunate to catch these guys in their final Seattle performance at the Paramount Theater when they went on tour (sans Eddie) a few years back, shortly before Chris's death. I feel so fortunate to have experienced that truly Seattle moment.
Thank you Aileen for reacting to this great song by Temple of the Dog.❤️
I saw you start dancing. Go ahead girl!
This is one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are even more relevant today. The vocal performances were awesome. I was waiting for your reaction when Chris first opened it up. Part always gives me chills.
Rip all the absolutely awesome grung rock members who have passed. Love y'all and everything you have done for us.
These two mens' voices pair absolutely perfectly
Also, there is an absolutely stunning live version of this where Chester Bennington (RIP) comes in and sings some of the parts. It's f****** amazing
Yup, your expression pretty much nails how this song hits when people hear it the first time..🤘❤🔥
I love this song.
The world was lucky to have him!
A beautiful song
@williambrandenburg4623 there were no real fans yet. Most People didn't know who PJ was.
I knew Pearl Jam before I knew soundgarden, just saying
You'll love Soundgarden&Audioslave.also
That last verse where they're playing off the counter meleody is 30 of the best seconds in music ever
My teenage years right here. The best times! You felt how I did the first time I heard this collab.
Still have my original vinyl from 1991.....I was 25 when this album came out......God Loves Grunge!
This song is transcendent. The harmonization is mind-melting. I’m glad you reacted to it, because everyone should know this song.
Can’t remember what Pearl Jam songs you’ve already done, but if you haven’t heard Black yet, you should. Otherwise, a few more Pearl Jam recommendations:
Release
Corduroy
Daughter
Nothingman
Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
Also, Eddie has released a few solo projects, I think the best being the soundtrack to the movie Into the Wild. I would recommend a song called “Hard Sun” from that album.
My daughter when she was 3 loved this so much.
My sister and I used to sing this song Acapella when I was growing up. Still one of my favorites to this day. So awesome to see you checking out the oldies from my generation. Timeless music 🎶🎶
This just played on the radio back then. Like, all the time. The good old days.
Super group. When it works it proves the concept of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.
First verses from the song "Man Of Golden Words" from the Mother Love Bone album:
"Wanna show you something like
A joy inside my heart
Seems I've been living in
The temple of the dog"
Just in case you were wondering, how did they come with the name of the band/title of the album.
Also, you really want to react to this song, too - trust me, it's worth it.
As others have said, this whole album is great and worth the listen.
I want thank you from every part of my heart! My brother introduced me to this band via this song. Seeing your reaction reminds of mine. He's been goon 4 years now. This brought tears to my eyes! THANK YOU!!!!
This reaction is so terrific. I can feel your exhilaration at the end. It’s one of those songs that warrants a repeat play.
IMO the greatest Vocal displays by both of these Dynamic vocalists is; Chris, "Say Hello to Heaven" from this album (Temple of the Dog") and Eddie`s vocal Bomb from the MTV unplugged "Black"...Aileen both of these performances will leave you speechless!
River Of Deceit by Mad Season would be a good one to check out. The band was a supergroup that included Layne Staley from AIC and Mike McCready from Pearl Jam.
2 of the greatest voices to ever exist. RIP Chris
After Chris' death, Eddie did an acoustic version of Black at a concert. He cried. Very emotional
You have to listen to Temple of the Dog "Say Hello to Heaven" it's Cornell at his finest
This is one of my favorite songs ever. Thank you. Just thank you. I knew you would love it.
