It’s nice to find a lets play of this, that isn’t obnoxious. I find people try way too hard to be funny, and in doing so, they just make fun of the game the whole time. And this is my personal favourite game of all time. It got me through some difficult time in my mid 20’s.
Not even 5 minutes in and my just absorbed in everything I genuinely love this game and it's kinda making me want to try casually speed running this game
Awesome run. I've never seen Fable speedrun before and this was a blast. This was like THE childhood game for me, I would spend hours obsessing over every little detail, trying to get one of every item and do everything the game had to offer. This brought back so much nostalgia. One thing that made me smile so much was when you mentioned the cliff side path exploit. This is the first time I've ever heard anyone mention it. I remember exploring the world as a kid and just came across the fact that undead would infinitely spawn there. That then became my go-to grind spot to get max XP after bargate prison. I would also use it as a way to open the demon door outside the hobbe cave. Anyway, fantastic video
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I spent more hours than I could begin to count on several playthroughs in Cliffside Path, often just so the personality screen would say my favorite melee weapon was Avo's Tear (I was always a goody two shoes as a kid, and I've only done one evil casual playthrough to date lol). I thought it was pretty well known so I'm pretty surprised that I was the first you heard mention it. 🤔
TBF I haven't watched or read any content about Fable exploits before this video so maybe I never really had the chance to come across it being mentioned. It was just nice to have 9 year old me be validated like that haha
Yooo I used that exploit as a kid too! Found it on accident. I was like... Why do they just keep spawning... Then I was like... Wait... They just keep spawning :0
Oh with the experience menu? Yeah, it's a toughie to wrap one's head around, especially when it's being done fast, and it's something I *still* struggle to commentate for if I'm in the middle of doing it.
Hey bro nice job! love fable tlc and I recently bought anniversary but installed a mod, it's so hard with it hehe, I saw a lot of new things in your speedrun, thanks dude
I'm going to have to watch this a couple times I usually just listen to moat videos and your commentary does the trick But somewhere after Bargate I'm fairly certain you started bending reality and I only realized it at about the Bardello point in the video I'ma still watch but I definitely have lost track of what exactly is happening and honestly I love that about speedruns. I will always end up lost on the first watch
Loved the run and the commentary and the (almost) breakdown you had because of the frying pan not wielding. You should do it more often, I would really pay to watch this although I'm broke af now lol. From India
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, the game can apparently just sometimes not display weapons that you just obtained so that was just a 🙄 moment. I actually wanted to revisit this category but unfortunately due to my PC randomly crashing in the experience menu on Heroic difficulty, and the PC I did this run on having a now dead motherboard, it's sadly not an option for me for the time being. :( When I'm in a more financially comfortable position myself, I do plan on looking for a replacement motherboard, so... Soon™
Actually that was wrong, this run was done on my old FX-8350 PC, not the E8400 I built specifically for running Fable TLC. 😅 Still, the E8400 PC will be revived for this when I get a new motherboard for it eventually.
Commneting months down the line, do you think you will ever do 100% speedruns of the other fable games? eg Fable 2 and Fable 3? Also enjoyed every single minute of this, just the perfect amount of commentary! :)
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Only time will tell if I do 100% type runs of 2 and/or 3 because those games also don't have a percentage statistic, and are much larger in scope. I've also only done a single Any% Speedrun of Fable 2 so far (with no real inkling of what I'm supposed to be doing, mind you), and just played Fable 3 for the first time semi-recently, so I'm afraid that kind of endeavor is a long way away for me.
I was suprised that getting the Blueberry pie and declaring yourself the fastest Apprentice in the guild, are apparently not required for %100?! :p Thank you so much for this excellent video. I've played this game multiple times over the years, each time falling short of a %100 run due to a 29/30 silver key (memorial) glitch, the training combat dummy not spawning, beating the game without achieving max stats, missing good combat multiplier opportunities, doing things out of order, or whatever it may be. Playing Fable Anniversary on Xbox Series X now, it's interesting to see how they changed some of the achievements (like lack of 'Great Balls of Fire!'?), and I wonder if we'll ever be able to get the smartglass achievement. Also thank you so much for your video guide on the exp menu manipulation glitch. It seems much more difficult using controller on console, because I can only manage to MM *'to the left'* of a current tab/category? It finally clicked for me when you describe the process at 21:30 in this video, and I was finally able to achieve near max stats via MM on Xbox Series X by keeping Force Push at level 1, and reselling Enflame MAX over and over. Somehow I still have no idea where the difficulty option/setting is 😅, but even if it turns out I'm not on heroic, still so happy to be completing the game using your speedrun as a guide. Thank you so much SeraVenza!
Thank you for watching it, and I'm glad you're finding it useful! ☺️ Yeah, Heroic is exclusive to Steam unfortunately and AFAIK, there's not really a way to get See The Future because of the whole SmartGlass thing. "Forever stuck at 49/50" gang.
I noticed that during the hobbe killing contest, you used force push on whisper. I somehow glitched whisper off of the bridge and bugged her ai out with force push.
That's actually happened to me a few times before because my "aim" with Force Push wasn't right. In my experience, while it is pretty funny to see, it's not exactly the best thing to have happen if you're using the quest to farm Combat Multiplier because the Hobbes that aggro onto her don't know what to do with themselves if she's out of bounds and so they just kind of stand in place when they spawn in.
Thank you very much! I actually have done one run of Fable 2 with hardly any strategies but it, along with Fable 3, are both games I plan on learning at some point in the future. :)
Epic video ! What tracker do you use? I use Livesplits but I can't make it work with Fable because I can't remove the focus on Fable's window (even when I'm in windowed mode :/ Really cool video, I enjoyed all 3h of it :-)
I use LiveSplit as well, and it should work if you have global hotkeys enabled. You might also want to try running it as administrator if you don't already.
Much like the various things one can do during Guild Training, the Darkwood Bordello never has a quest that shows up in your quest log, nor does digging up the deeds and giving them to Madame Minzche add to the Quests Completed stat in the Personality screen, so it was decided it would be skipped in this category. That said though, if one wanted to include it, the fastest way to do it would be leaving the Bordello map as soon as you enter, which oddly causes the digging spot to be active, and then giving them to Madame Minzche. ua-cam.com/video/h873chVXEG4/v-deo.html
Possible dumb question - currently in the beginning of the video at the time of writing this, how do you get all 50 achievements if smartglass and its achievement was discontinued I see, you're on PC and probably didn't have that achievement, nvm
That's correct yeah, it was replaced by Great Ball Of Fire! which requires you to just beat the game on the PC exclusive Heroic difficulty, and without the game reverting from said difficulty at any point in the middle of your run. Yes, it can do that if it wants to. 🥲
i have nothing against, but if every sound "uhhm" that you used in this video costed 1 penny, then i would be a millionaire xddd. good job on the video though
That's one of the many reasons I don't view live or off-the-cuff commentary as one of my strengths, especially when I'm trying to do it and play the game at the same time. Hopefully though, with time and practice, I can get better at not having mini brain fart "uhhm"s all the time. :)
@@SeraVenza the point is that i wouldnt be able to do a better job than you, im way worse of explaining stuff, so that you were able to speak and explain trough out the hours of the video is impressive, keep up the good job and good luck :)
