I've been a Honda guy for 20 years, specifically 90's Honda's tho. I've been thru +8(DA, DC, EGs, EFs and a CL3.0) and am on my 9th(89 b16 crx) and 10th(98 5spd awd crv) Honda. I love my 1st gen RD1 CRV, it does amazing during the winter and on ice.. BUT! I only got a b20 crv with the manual because I am comfortable and nostalgic for the B-series motor, I have aspirations of parting the CRV out and convert my b16 CRX to awd. If i was giving advice, I'd 100% recommend the 2nd gen K-series CRV over any 1st gen b20 to a new buyer. I expect an 04-06 CRV will be my next Honda purchase as a daily driver, a Manual obviously.
Great video and generally correct. But the 2005-2006 CRV is the ultimate CRV. Restyled but, much more importantly, an improvement to the all wheel drive by modifications made to the rear clutch. I drive an 06 i-cdti with 220,000 miles and it pulls heavy trailers, carries lots of timber, can drive through 8-12" of snow (I had winter Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6 on it) and it was a little monster. Now I run BF Goodrich Urban Terrain all year round but still waiting for serious snow like in 2018 (and I'll be waiting as I'm in Ireland...). Thanks for your video review. Always enjoyable watching someone sing the praises of one of the best cars ever made. I researched for a few months before I settled on a CRV mark 2.5 (rd9). In the past year, I changed from shock absorbers, clutch (I had the dual mass flywheel welded instead of replaced as she is getting old and provided you're a good driver, it's not too bad on the drivetrain (it's not ideal) ). Some small problems with electricals from driving through 12-15" floods in 2017 but I've had this baby 4.5 years now and it is literally unbreakable and unstoppable. It will do more off-road than most drivers can stomach. So it's the all-round perfect machine, only outclassed by the similar year X Trail but, unlike the Nissan diesel, the CRV is extremely reliable and long lasting. Obviously the petrol CRV will last forever if you're not a lazy fool.
The 5 speed automatic in the 2005-2006 was a bit problematic from what I've heard. So it's either you get the 2002-2004 with the 4 speed or you get the 2005-2006 with a manual transmission.
In the US and Canada these were sold from 2002-2006. There was a refresh in 2005 though which replaced the 4 speed automatic transmission with a 5 speed automatic transmission. And the only engine available was the K24 from the Accord.
I’ve got a first gen crv. Nothin special, 99 LX awd auto, but I love it. I was willing to put a lot of money into to it and put a new engine in it to get it running right so I better love it 😆. I still want a second gen. My favorite body style. If I could have a Cr-v with the first gen front end and then everything else second gen, I’d be happy. For now I’m just gonna save up for a second gen so I can have em both!
I have the 05 SE awd. It’s a really good all around vehicle. As long as you don’t overload it, it feels fast even when you really aren’t lol. There are people turning these into off-road rigs.
This crv generation is good in general, however, if you can get your hands on a jdm crv from 2001-2006 they are much better than the usdm, and euro crv, you can get leather seats, electric folding windows, backup camera, a different bumper, more power, and a few other minor things
This is cool! a Cool car if to take care of her! By the way, did you smash the like button yet and maybe subscribe? Here is your reminder to do that because it really helps my channel a lot!
@@VictoriosoReviews Thanks. I didn't know this about Malta and Cyprus. BTW, nice ride you got there. It's a very reliable no nonsense car that they stopped making these days. Drive it till it falls apart.
Thank you very much! By the way, did you smash the like button yet and maybe subscribe? Here is your reminder to do that because it really helps my channel a lot!

I LOVE my 2002 CRV. For all the reasons you give. Well done Honda
Hello, thank you for checking the video :) and indeed you are right! This is one of the best model🏋️♂️

K24 kicks assssss

I heard that Hondas have a lot of road noise when driving on the highway. Does yours sound loud when you're driving it?

Very good info bro. Thank you
I use Crv 2003 until now. 🤗😊😀😄😁

It 's so cute to drive 🚗
My favorite CRV generation for sure!
The 2005-2006 is better in many ways. 5 speed auto, leather interior, better awd, better stereo, 16" rims, etc.
Transmission issues with that 5 speed. 4 speed more reliable in the 04 and prior
awd or 4wd? driving beach you need 4wd
My 06 has a 4 speed automatic
Thinking about buy my first car and I just can't see pass the 02 honda crv
Great job V. I love my '04 CR-V.
I love my CR- V 2004.. great car!!! In Russian with Love
i still use honda crv 2003
does it have 4wd lock?
Unfortunately no, it is a AWD. Basically it decides by itself when to go 🥲
They have steering on the right side in Czech Republic? I thought only UK has in Europe.
Hi Archer, we are based in Cyprus 👋🏋️♂️
@@VictoriosoReviews Oh, ok. Thanks! I was just wondering about right side steering. Only cars in UK have that, I guess. I mean in Europe.
Hey Archer, we are 4 countries that drive on the left with right steering drive in EEA : UK, IRELAND, MALTA, CYPRUS.
@@VictoriosoReviews Thanks. I didn't know this about Malta and Cyprus. BTW, nice ride you got there. It's a very reliable no nonsense car that they stopped making these days. Drive it till it falls apart.
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are also countries. UK is a union.
Keren pokoknya👍👍👍 im crv Indonesia
Thank you very much!

I Loved this suv
I have still 2005 model
Левый стоп не горит :)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would say that your CRV was manufactured in Britain? It's likely. Extremely well made. Mine was an import from Manchester (to Ireland).
I have one made in Swindon. I was a bit dissapointed at first, until I learned it was the same plant that makes Type Rs.
@@ancientsociety653 Oh, I've never read any negatives about the Swindon plant online.
For sure, AC on Generation 2 on has a lot of problems on this car.
The 3rd gen is crap compared to the gen 2.
3rd gen is so friggin' ugly lol
2nd gen didn’t come out in 2001
Hi,
In Japan it was release from 08.2001 till 08.2004 before having the facelift. And for cars 08.2001 is considered as 2002 model year.
This car also i have
OMAR SALAH 🇨🇦
