That’s awesome. I love to hear Honda family’s over 100K, 200K. My 03 CRV is at 315k and still running great. All Hondas need is love and they will last forever 🤗
fun fact, but if you push the driver or passenger seats all the way forward and take off the headrest you can turn both seats into beds!! incredibly comfortable too… this car is the greatest ever
i've had my 2003 since 2015. It runs so good I can't sell it. Very strong motor and the smoothest transmission I've ever had. I do not tow it after reading all the manufacturer's warnings about damaging the transmission. I wish it was only 2wd.
@@mikealarie007 According to my owners manual, it can be done if the procedures on pages 224 and 225 are followed. Several warnings about "severe transmission damage" are there also. I never like the idea of jeopardizing my drive train, so I stay away from doing it. Honda has a weird setup as in normal use the drive shaft to the rear wheels is always turning. The rear wheels are engaged at the differential when the front wheels are detected slipping. I almost removed the drive shaft one day, but decided not to as I could not find any reliable information on whether removing it would damage the differential somehow. I thought that the removing it might interfere with the internal lubrication of the differential.
You can remove the driveshaft with no problems. Bought mine used, the u joints and shaft were on back order for a couple months. Worked fine as a front drive. With the new one was installed, works fine as an all-wheel drive.
I also have the 2003 CR-V but in USA there was no option for leather seating. The 2005-06 SE model offered leather seating but it wasn't the best quality leather used. Most get rips in them after 100k miles.
@@mikealarie007 I work at the Toyota dealership as a matter of fact, and the Tacoma is basically the only truck SUV that you can buy these days with the manual transmission and that is definitely one of my favorite perks about those trucks
@@mikealarie007 this is a one owner car with a clean title with no accidents or title issues that has been meticulously maintained by the previous owner since it was purchased brand new back in 2005 it currently has approximately 204,000 miles on it, and best of all no rust. Something that is extremely rare to find in a car that has spent its entire lifetime up here in the northeastern region of the states.
The mk 2 is all cool. If only the rear seats folded back further and were removable without a spanner and the fuel tank could have been relocated for better ground clearance. I do own one and love it. But if only..
Im going to look at a 03, the owner stats it has a issue with the blower/ac and the rear pw windows arent working. Some rust around the wheel wells, around 213k miles....I like the V6 power of ther SV's but gas isnt getting any cheaper. Any advice is always welcome.
If it was properly maintained, it should last you a long time. The question is how bad is the rust and how is the underneath? The other major, deciding factor would be price point . Is the rust surface rust or is there actual deterioration? If the price reflects the condition, I think you will be happy with it .
Did you know if you have broken wheel studs, it's a $500 job instead of $2 ?! Coz shop will only do it the proper way, wheel bearings $500 ?! Good on you Honda engineer.
That picnic table is unbelievable, I've never seen anything like it on a car.
Not to mention, it’s pretty room for sleeping in the back of! It’s a great camping vehicle!
i really like the placement of the hand brake.
@@RampartPh you certainly don’t see SUVs with that style handbrake anymore
Just hit 210k miles in mine, running amazing

305,000 on ours. The weakest thing I've found on mine are the brake calipers.

One of the best SUV segment of this...As an own of 2002 CRV 345k miles are covered , I am totally satisfied except fuel consumption
Great review! I just purchased an '05 EX model in "Silver Moss Metallic" with 5 speed manual transmission, AWD, and sunroof. Loving the silly thing!
