First, thanks for making this video, there are soooo many Ranger Raptor videos and, while it is a really nice truck, most of us will pick a different variant of the ranger. I ordered mine with a very, very similar spec to what you did but also got the 2.7. There are a lot of positives. I will say this, Sync4a takes a bit of getting used to and does glitch at times. For a bed cover, I went with the BAK X4ts , with the t track system. Knowing what I know now, for me at least, a regular bed cover without t tracks might be the way to go and then add some bed rails with t tracks for the various racks.
I want to order the same options without the technology packet, only the 301 a. That’s a great looking truck, with best options ever. Have fun with it.
Great choice. I have a 2024 Ranger XLT in velocity blue as well. I also ordered mine because I figured that was the only way to insure I got all the options I wanted. However, mine is 2WD with the chrome package and sandstone interior. I love the truck. It is a perfect fit for me. Since it came with Ford Pass, I saw no point in getting the keypad on the door since you can unlock the doors with your phone. Like you, I am indifferent about the key vs push button start. I don't have a preference and my other vehicle has push button start. As for the safety features, I love the adaptive cruise control, but Ford needs to refine the lane-keeping assist as it constantly reminds you to keep two hands on the steering wheel even when you do which is annoying. I also find the backup sensors a little sensitive in certain situations, but that is tolerable. Only other option I would have liked is a sunroof. Beyond that, I find the Ranger a real pleasure to drive. It has a nice ride and is exceptionally quiet and love the infotainment center. Plus the fuel economy is great. I have been averaging 23 to 24 city/hwy combined with eco mode.
You can set your cruise to go over speed limit by 5 miles. I like it as if speed changes from 45 to 55 I don’t have to do anything. It will go up to 60mph. Same if speed drops. But some people like & some don’t and that is fine.
You can change those light bulbs out to led for probably under 100 dollars I’m not gonna make my decision on buying a truck because I don’t like the light bulbs in the tail lights.
A keyed ignition is the way to go. Where I am in Canada thieves (mostly from India) are using devices that mimic the key fobs. They get it the car press the ignition button and drive to the port in Montreal (where people are obviously getting paid off) and your vehicle is shipped overseas. Our government is awful right now. Anywho, keys 🔑 are the better choice.
I have a 2020 Mustang GT in volicity blue. I absolutely love that color. Now I'm kinda mad they are using it on other vehicles lol or maybe they always were. Idk but I don't see it very often.
lol yea that color came out in 2019 and was only on the mustang then they decided to have it as one of their color lineups for other ford vehicles as well.
I’m pretty sure it was the 2015 and up 2.3 ecoboost. I was originally gonna get the 2.7 but it was going to take too long and after I ordered my truck a recall came out for some of the 2.7 engines so that scared me away from them.

Thanks! I like the cactus grey color as well. It was between cactus grey, hot pepper red, and velocity blue for me. Yea the dealers are not ordering them for the lots here with the bed steps kinda stupid to not have a few of those on the lot at least.
@@ygyffc agree on the bed steps-$245 option. It was between Carbon Grey and Velocity Blue; we were going to order as well but then this cactus grey popped up at a dealer here and we bought it. My 5 year old son was in tears when he learned we were NOT getting a blue truck
Ranger is no where near the size of a full size f150 in some configurations a f150 can be 3ft longer and almost a foot wider so definitely not almost as big.

With the truck cab not really being that big really don’t have an issue I haven’t had any complaints from anyone in the back.

It’s the only midsize with Amber Turn Lamps on the tail lights like it’s predecessor….thats an important safety feature

Brutal on the brake controller, it came with ours advanced tow package, I thought it came with standard and advanced tow packages
Yea I can’t make it make sense in my head. It has the advanced towing technology package but doesn’t have the brake control doesn’t make since.
