So glad I got a 24 Ranger since I could get the chrome running boards with it. Only other option I would have liked to get is a sunroof. But I still love the truck. It is a pleasure to drive and has surpassed my expectations.
Gone are the black running boards from the FX4 package; of course you can still add them for 695. 55k for a midsize Lariat with a V6 twin turbo. You can get any color you want as long as it’s gray.
2024 FX4 was $1,445 and came with the black running boards 2025 FX4 is now $1,095 and NO black running boards. Net effect is it will cost you $345 more this year. Out pacing normal inflation. LET IT ROT!
Boards were not included in the FX4 package last year. They required you to add it to the get the package. Build and Price probably showed it as priced together but according to ordering, they were priced separate.
@@longmcarthurfordbottom line is that it costs $345 more than last year. This kind of price increase is unsustainable. It’s time to voice our concerns with our pocketbooks. Sorry, you dealers are not responsible for Fords out of touch prices and I know you are out there for the customer.
Aside from the Ranger Raptor it seems like they aren’t really trying with this truck. The Colorado, Tacoma, Gladiator, and others have more colors, trims, off road packages, and features. They need to sell more trims from the global lineup like the Wildtrak, Tremor, PHEV, etc
You can’t compare 25’ pricing and option packages yet. I’m sick of the bland grey/black colors but it seems all manufacturers are doing this. (Saving money I’m sure) I checked out GMs full-size as ‘25s have been released. Same thing, only one or two exciting colors.
Great review. I was on the Ford website looking at the build options. I couldn't find anything on bed options. Is the ranger only offering one bed length? Thanks for any info you can provide.
Disappointed we don't see PHEV option that trade reporting had indicated Ford committed to for 2025 Ranger and Bronco. Is it expected to be added later in model year or am I looking for a used vehicle this year?
@@jayray274 They've proven the hybrid and PHEV engineering in Australia the past two years. Although I've heard hybrid is only 1-2% of truck market down under. Ford had a press release indicating they were moving from EV to hybrid. I really expected this would make a splash like the Maverick introduction where you had to get an order in quick or miss out. They've priced the hybrid F150 and Bronco out of consideration, so they need to deliver on the Ranger hybrid.
At this moment in time, is the Ford Factory in Wayne, Michigan still assembling 2024 Ford Rangers, or has production stopped on the 2024 model and they are now producing 2025 models only?
@kentexican5844 producing 2024 through December. January 2nd is the start-up for 2025. They open up order banks so orders can be added and scheduled ahead of time. In a couple of weeks, they will be scheduling production dates for January.
@@longmcarthurford So can I come into your dealership, sit down with one of your sales reps, supply my X-plan PIN number and build my 2024 RANGER with all the equipment I want; pay whatever the down payment may be (I'll be paying the balance from my personal funds upon receiving my new 2024 4x4 Ranger Lariat); and have that order submitted to the order bank same day?
The 2.7L has been available since job 2 of 2024 model year. It will be available on the XLT and Lariat for the start of 2025 model year. We have Rangers with the 2.7L on our lot right now.
Ford continues to be the master at de contenting and keeping the price the same, AKA less ford more.
Glad I got the 2024.
Still no push button start for XLT, driver side grab handle and rear vent

Yes just one bed length.
Bummed they got rid of hot chili red, but ordered by '25 Raptor on Tuesday, velocity blue.
Gotta hang on to my 2019 another year at least... hoping for the PHEV

Not happening until the refresh in ‘27 (best guess). Remember this truck is two years older than the us version in the rest of the world.

So disappointed that on the 2025 ranger raptor that got rid of any red colors.😢
But hey… you can pick from 5 different grays!🤣
It would be nice if there were rooftop and leather seated options for xlt
I guess Iconic Silver wasn't so iconic after all, happy with my '24 cactus Gray
Go Ford!
Thanks for the very informative "Ranger Revealed" video. Will the '25 have ventilated front seats and a heads-up display?
So a wireless keypad that you’ll need to change batteries and it could potentially fall off when going through a drive thru car wash?
@@nism0z335 possibly but pretty rare. These have been used for years on many vehicles without keypads.

Can you get Copilot 360 on the XL trim?
@stw2186 yes, not the Co-Pilot 360 Assist but the package with BLIS, CTA, Lane Keeping, Rear Sensors, etc is optional on XL.
@ What’s the difference between them? I am building an XL-Stx right now on the website & there isn’t an option to add blind spot & rear sensors

Will the Lariat have rear air vents?

When does the Order Bank open?

Getting rid of the off-road tires on the FX4 that’s just dumb 👎
What about vented seats?
