Would you share some details on your exhaust and muffler combination. I am using this exact engine setup on my 87 911 Hot Rod build and would like to know more about your exhaust system choice/specs. Thanks
If you had experience with this car you would know that this is basically the only reasonable way to keep the car alive. The 987.1’s have very fragile engines and tbh, they are relatively weak. If you drive it once or twice you might enjoy it but ultimately it is a sub 300 hp flat 6. The car is just not as interesting performance wise as any (working) rx7 or 2jz swapped honda. Eventually these 987.1 engines go, because they have fundamental drawbacks with age. Putting another high powered porsche engine in there from say a 997 is a quarter million dollar project. Putting another cayman/boxster engine in is underwhelming. The only realistic option to keep the car going is an LS swap. The sound can be manipulated to sound more like a corvette. Ultimately, the sound of a flat 6 NA engine is lovely but under 300 hp who really cares once youve owned the car for a year? LS swaps are how you keep this car on the road.
@@fxlltxtsearch agree.....the whole "ruined" thing sounds like the vette crowd Its just another old porsche that is back on the road and a hell of a lot more fun.
@@gordocarbo yup and honestly, i will revise my statement. If you can get a k swap into the porsche as well and tune it then thats amazing too. Whatever keeps the car moving
It sounds like corvette but you see a cayman. I'm not sure how to process this in my brain.
Quiet is class. A Porsche should sound like a vacuum cleaner.
@@themediaman100 strangely enough, my car does sound like a vacuum cleaner with all the fan running. Is that normal?
Camaro ss sound *
Sounds nasty and with a proper exhaust that might confuse the listener. *VERY NICE!*
This is disgusting and wrong...
I love it
Nice. I'll be installing the exact same build but in a base Cayman. Hot Cammed LS3.
Do you have any tips can I ask questions 😂
Very nice and I would love to here more about the conversion
It is spelled hear
Did you ever get anymore info on the swap? I can't find anything but pics, but not details on who did it, etc.
Vídeo fraquíssimo.

Wonder if the lfx would be a better swap... the mx-5 lfx swaps look great.
Is it manual or automatic? Would love to know if this can be done with the pdk
The engine has got abit of chug sound to it when idling. Needs abit more refinement. Otherwise not bad.
Hmmm how to make it sound less like a muscle car and more like a super car.....
X-pipe
Voodoo
It's like speaking with Scarlett Johansson, but she has a man's voice. Not sure what to think.
Really? Was necessary to put the reverse gear? noo wayyyyy dude😂
Sounds like a Chevy lol
You really used your brain cells.
Just my opinion but you ruined it.. Doesn't sound right.
