I make my own potting mix and its way cheaper plus it allows you to adjust mixture to the plant. Basicallt its perlite, peat moss and compost. I also added some worm castings and the fertilizer was a cheap bag they sell at big box stores...I have no green thumb but all my plants are thriving

Beautiful plant! I purchased one from an online seller and it only has two leaves. I’ve never had plants in this type of media.. I may try it. Do you just top up when the level of water goes down? And how do you give the fertilizer with this method? Ty

I know what you mean by people recommend to put wax on the cut. I think there is a confusion. You put wax on the motherplant that you cut from. By putting wax on the wound of the motherplant, you could prevent it from bacteria and drying.
Hi! I think that Monstera is a Borsigiana, not a Deliciosa. Because it tends to be leggy; thus, it trails fast. Also, unlike the Borsigiana, Deliciosa's petioles grow next to each other. So they appear fuller than the Monstera Borsigiana. Both Monsteras look the same aside from: Borsigiana's leaves are smaller than the Deliciosa's. And as I have said earlier, they tend to trail more since they're leggy just like Monstera Adansonii.
Hi, I'm not sure if you will see this comment, but my baby monstera is about to die. It's my very first indoor plant and I don't really know how to take care of it. I was thinking of taking it out of the pot and propagating it in water without cutting the leaf because it literally only has one left now. I wonder if it's okay to do that and whether if it's going to work?
I started water propagation for couple month, but recently I experienced few mosquito flying around in my house which I’ve never seen in 3 years. Is there any help I can get to get rid of mosquitoes please? 😢
uhhh if you got flying mosquitos youre not changing your water nearly enough. Propogating plants should realistically have their water changed every 3 or 5 days to help change out the oxygen in the water. Still water is bad for plants and a magnet for mosquitos. Its the same reason fix tanks need to water be constantly in motion so the fishes are able to breathe.
I have a monstera that has been in leca for over a year and never did good, changed the leca and pot a few times along with lots of dead roots ,plant did not die but no matter what I did it was not ok Now I have just a few ready long thick shoot no roots and I am refusing to give up Water works great but only for some time , it's not a long time solution
What do you do for monstera deliciosa cuttings with 4 and a half foot long roots? Aerial roots. Took cuttings from a part with aerial roots, and even that small cutting is probably a good 6 feet around.
Hi thanks for the video. I need help about my Monstera cutting that is growing in water. I see on the under water branch black and white things growing. I don't know what it is, I supposed it was fungus but I did not gind anything about this on the net.
Maybe try washing it off. If it’s root rot it’s usually black and mushy. Just run the roots under water and gently take off all the black spots. Hope that helps!

Do you wait till everything evaporates? And then it is my understanding that the roots are put in say halfway into the container since you don't want the roots setting in the water that you fill up?

Meaning i can apply fertilizer any time of the year?
Thanks for watching 😊 yes still safe to cut it off from mother plant as long as you cut a stem with a node. Also Malaysia has wet and dry season - plants usually grow during the dry season when it’s sunnier, (wet season plants are more dormant) so best to fertilize then 😊
