Hey, i am Saskia from Germany. The first new leaf after the cutting is always something special! Seeing the plants in all those different stages is really amazing, thanks for that! :)
Hello, I am Iulia(Julia) from Romania. I've always had houseplants around growing up but I seriously started growing plants on my own (with propagating and all) a year ago. I very much appreciate your honesty and the good vibes you share. You're awesome, keep up the great work.
Thank you so much! I have a monstera cutting that hasn’t grown any new roots yet (the aerial root is VERY short) and I haven’t had it for very long but I was almost ready to give up on it. This video really helped me to put into perspective just how patient you have to be and also some things I’ll have to look out for!
Hi,I'm Koen from the Netherlands. Just propagated my first monsteras this july and gave away all the new plants to my brother and sisters.. very cool to see all the updates! Keep on going!
Hey Roos i am Marion from Holland. I watch your videos for a couple of years. So much fun and tips and tricks i can use. Also liked the costa rica videos. Thank you for all
Hey! I'm Kelly from the Netherlands, absolutely love these type of video's made over a longer period of time. So we can immediately see the difference in growth 🥰
Hi Roos! It is so generous of you to organize a giveaway. Your cuttings turned out so beautiful. For sure the winner will be a proud plant mom/dad. Wishing you a sunny autumn! Eszter from Transylvania (Romania)❤🐌
I am from Indonesia very happy to watch your UA-cam channel full of inspiration and I am gaining knowledge about ornamental plants that are popular in your country, thank you Miss for the information
Hi there. Francisco here from Germany. I've been watching your videos ever since I accidentally bumped into one of them and got really inspired with your stories, what has planting brought to you. I'm somewhat new with planting and stuff. And this helps me relieve me from stress specially after work. More power to you. Keep it up.
Hello Roos! I am Laivi from Estonia and I love plants. I have a small jungle in my apartment, hahah, over 200 plants. I really enjoy watching and following your videos.
Heey, I’m Kim from the Netherlands. I’m a new subscriber and already love your videos! For years I have been searching for a Monstera Variegata cutting but everytime I find it it’s gone in a blink of an eye. It’s one of my favorite plants and would be of a great company to all my other ones! Also thanks to you I learned how to propagate and my cuttings are growing!!!
Hello :) i started watching your video trying to learn the care for my Alocasia and here i'am at 1am still watching your content ! Keep up the good work Thomas from France
Very awesome to be able to see the plants growth updates all in the same video. You don't see many that do that, so it's nice ! Beautiful plants ! I could never afford this plant, but recently found someone offering a cutting that had a total of 5 nodes and 5 leaves that had decent variegated but nothing crazy, which i prefer right now since i know how it goes with the amount of white and the more white ya have, the more light it needs to grow, so i feel i finally lucked out and jumped on the offer ! I chopped away and now I'm hoping for some root growth in water and some in moss ! It's only been a few days but my fingers are crossed ! This video is keeping me optimistic so thank you again !! 😊
That's so cool congrats! Prices have dropped a lot finally 🙌 I hope they grow well for you! And PS Sean did it first, I saw his videos with updates and loved them so much that I also started doing them. He has many more! His channel is Only Plants

Hi Roos, I love watching your video's from the plants but also the gardencentres (and a bit jealous of the plants in the garden centres in your neighbourhood 😀). Once again so kind of you to share your love of plants. Karen from the Netherlands
Hey, i am Zala from Slovenia. I love watching your videos because i have a lot of common intrests (hoyas, anthuriums, monsteras) as you! I find that i learn something new everytime i watch one of your videos but my favourite are still plant growth updates and vlogs from plant stores :)
As a tip, try to always clean the roots and remove all the soil leftovers before propagating them in water. They turn the water dark and can lead to rot like you had. Really great video ♥ I love how you take the time to post updates in the same video so we can see the process. Thank you
I had not even watched the entire video before i subscribed. Not for the giveaway, but simply your vibe. You are such a beautiful person and your energy radiates so much light and happiness. I am so excited to follow your plant journey ✨🪴🤍

Hello Roos You have very nice plants, and I've just ran across your videos last night and stayed up watching everyone .. I'm from the USA, North Carolina. The giveaway you are doing is so kind-hearted...

Wow good job on the water propagations! So much growth in a short time. I haven't had nearly as much luck myself. Congratulations on 40K followers! I'd love to be able to add that handsome cutting to my collection. Sabrina, The Netherlands. 🤞

It is honestly so fun! I totally get the scared part but enjoy it! I am actually doing it again haha - my half moon monstera stopped being half moon so I was gonna sell it but I've decided to keep her and chop and prop first, make another video then sell the cuttings after a while
Oh my god! I'm so excited! It's honestly so sweet of you to do this giveaway, sharing this plant (which i assume is a propagation of Ferry haha) with your subscribers! Love your garden centre videos! Haven't been able to stop watching them, and excited for the future ones! Much love, Gabriëlle From the Netherlands
Biggest thing with water propping is flushing your water every 3-5 days I personally find for better chance to avoid root rot as well and a bit of peroxide
I've found that that is not at necessary - mainly because I'm not organised enough for that but also you would remove the rooting hormone that the cutting creates. So that would set it back and have to start over? Just my thoughts and experience, if you have the structure to refresh water and it works for you then great - it does look a lot nicer 🤭❤️

Hi I’m Maureen from the Netherlands. In my opinion it’s very generous and kind of you that you are willing to do a giveaway!! I’ve been wanting a Monstera Variegata for so long now, but I haven’t had the chance to afford it unfortunately. I really like your houseplant your videos and your garden center videos!!!☺️
I know this video is about a year old but in case you see this...I was sold a top cut without an arial root. Is it for sure going to die? It does have a growth node, what is the best way to try to prop it?
it's not for sure going to die! definitely try it - it might work. they often grow new roots from the stem, doesnt need an aerial root. if it has a lot of leaves or a few big leaves you might want to cut part of them off, so that the plant doesn't spend all it's energy on the leaves but instead on making new roots. The best way is up to you, some people swear by moss or flavum or something, black stuff like semi hydro. i would use water: just a small amount at the stem, preferably a narrow vessel. The cutting has to produce a rooting hormone in the water, enough so that it can start to root. if it's a huge vase of water, that takes much more energy than a small amount of water. I hope that helps! good luck (and let me know how it goes! - in a new comment cos i don't see further responses, but i do see new comments also on old videos ;) x
@plantwithroos It took about two months and lots of me worrying, but it finally pushed out a tiny little root from a growth point under the stem. Wow!! Thank you for the encouragement to try! It looked like just a leaf cutting and I didn't think it would grow. Plants are amazing :-)

@@plantwithroos I’ve struggling with root rot, I was trying sphagnum moss but after seeing this I’ve moved it back to water. Hopefully the small aerial root starts to grow 😭 thanks

Always looking forward to your videos and how you are always very transparent and show also when things go wrong with propagations or plant care. Hi Roos!
Weirdly enough I’ve been watching your videos for a good while, but only now I realised that I wasn’t subscribed! 😂😂
I love how light hearted you are and how much you taught me when it comes to dealing with pests (we’ve all been there)!

What is in your soil mix? I’m about to buy a cutting and I’m curious what’s the best soil mix for an albo😣
I have several videos showing you my mix! One called airy soil mix
Hi Roos, very exciting videos. It was very intresting to see how different methods give different results. And the one who was rotting did it make it? Thank you for sharing with us 🎉 Shukri from Sweden
I just subscribed. I want to have one of those monstera albo. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome! I have a few more that I'm ready to part with so check my instagram too (I often share in my stories)
Hey did you fertilize at all? I was so surprised with how fast it grew
I do regularly fertilise yes - tho I've only become consistent with it this passed year (every other week in the growing season)
I just brought one today I'm very nervous but this has helped ALOT thanks for sharing. Did you put any fertiliser in the water or soil?
Happy to hear it. I only fertilise when the plant is actively growing, so usually less in winter.
@@plantwithroos Sorry just noticed you responded thank you so much. one other question I don't have any perlite so do you think i can substitute with clay pebbles instead as i have loads of those lol
Wow such a beautiful plant! I’m Kim from the Netherlands. A while back I bought a Monstera Albo cutting and sadly it rotted away 🥺
I wish I had one of your plants
I love them I am older and can't afford one
They're becoming so affordable here! Where are you based? I saw friends in the US finding them at grocery stores for 40 dollars and here in Europe prices are similar
Jose Spanish living in the Netherlands,
And I'm obsessed with your TikTok videos!
Awww haha yay! I'm trying on Tiktok, but the responses inspire me to make more!
Have you tried to propagate in sphagnum moss? Thanks
I have but I don't like it, it dries out quickly and I'm a very inconsistent with watering. I know it works for others
@@plantwithroos I’ve struggling with root rot, I was trying sphagnum moss but after seeing this I’ve moved it back to water. Hopefully the small aerial root starts to grow 😭 thanks
Hey Roos. My name is Christophe and I am from Belgium. Very excited to enter this giveaway. Always looking forward to your videos and how you are always very transparent and show also when things go wrong with propagations or plant care. It real helped me accept my plant struggles (pests, rot, failed propagations etc) when they happened :) so thank you for that.
