First, awesome vids guys; suuuuuper entertaining and also informative! Has anyone else noticed that the Tiguan R seems to have a dead spot when given full throttle from low RPM? Seems to happen at 12:40 and 15:40 in the vid. Also happened when I took one for a test drive......takes a good second or two for it to actually get moving. Not ideal if you're looking to squeeze into a gap from a standing start (e.g. coming from out of a side road into a 110 zone).
Currently, comparing the Tiguan 162 R line and R Grid edition, I actually prefer the seats in the Grid edition, and I think for the extra couple of grand, the R Grid edition is worth it.
How does a Type R Tig not have a panoramic sunroof.. mine does but unfortunately here in the states they don't think we deserve a real type r.. I would of bought one.
@@Notsure00700 ya Type R is an Acura.i mean the Tig R. They have a Tig R Line here but that's just a blackout package and added features which I have..
No different to the Allspace… you might find value in purchase price over a Tig but its the reverse when its time to sell… Skoda resale is terrible in aus

It called turbo lag and if you jag the throttle instead of squeezing it ,you will notice it in all turbo vehicles not unless its a twin turbo setup.
The car did not agree with your description of the exhaust sound. It literally did a dummy spit. 😄

R Line does not equal R. lol

Order the Akrapovic exhaust for an extra 3 grand. If sound is that important.
Still think the skoda kodiak vrs offers better value, slightly slower,but more space and 7 seats
I like the Kodiaq RS but there is something not quite right about a performance diesel haha

Monotone interior is extremely boring. Seats look cheap for leather. Great performance for an SUV, however.
