I’m very glad that people are clearing reading his “non-denial denial” regarding Guantanamo and his actions there. Mocking the question and the people asking it isn’t at all the same as saying he didn’t and wouldn’t participate in torture and abuse.
Yes apparently Ron thought the whole world forgot what he was just asked & so he thought that he could make us ALL believe that the question was ; whether or not a torture victim's memory can be relied on.. Yeah, they're striking for better work conditions, like being able to work on a show long-term, not just a couple of months. I'm all for it, it would improve the quality of the shows. The good shows out there are those that have long-term staff. Being allowed to love and enjoy what you do is important for creative professions. When the creators enjoy their work, the audience enjoys it, too 🙂

My personal theory is that Carlson getting fired was 1 of the conditions for Dominion settling the lawsuit.
That is entirely feasible and yeah I'd believe that.

Dominion stood a very good chance of getting double the payout, PLUS the country seeing fox staff finally under oath.
If you had that level of bargaining chip you could easily demand more staff go instead.

The writing on this episode was off the charts! My goodness. Every line was hilarious; every burn stung. And of course, Colbert's delivery really sells it. The physical comedy with the bees was priceless. The timing on every zinger was perfect.

If you got tortured over and over and over again for years, you'd probably remember every single face you saw over and over and over again pretty damn well - ESPECIALLY the guy who said it was all legal to do to you. Nice work, Stephen. I am hopeful that the WGA strike is settled sooner rather than later. Since there are a lot of people in TV and movies affected by the strike who aren't writers. That said, I hope that the WGA gets what their asking for since they are receiving far less ad revenue these days since so many are watching ad-free streaming channels like Netflix and Hulu instead of broadcast and cable TV. I think both sides need to give a little, but I'm on the writer's side.

To be fair, that's how he made his name. Not answering reporters' questions, and instead attacking them. It's always been his strategy, if you think tipping over the chess board when your opponent says "check" is a strategy

I'm a Brit. Living in Britain...and I did not know Ron de Santis had visited. Or was visiting. Haven't seen it in the news (although I have been on holiday for the past week). Haven't seen or heard about it at work.

Yes & his segment on Monday was about eating bugs! No wonder they fired him! Nobody wants to see that! Honestly though, Tucker was too expensive of a liability for the Murdoch's! Due to the evidence released in the Dominion lawsuit, Laughlin Murdoch had to withdraw a lawsuit against an Australian news outlet called Crikey & had to pay their legal fees! They still have the Smartmatic lawsuit to deal with, Abby G's lawsuit against Fox News & others plus Fox's insurance is going to go way up because it's their insurance company that will pay the bulk of the settlement with Dominion & the damages in the Smartmatic lawsuit! Also, even though Tucker was their most watched host, there weren't many advertisers that wanted to place ads during his show.
the hilarious thing about DeSantis comment is that prisoners and detainees spend hours and hours looking at each other...then someone walks in. If DeSantis was an Officer, chances are he was in a different uniform than the other prison guards and they would have shown him deference as an Officer. DeSantis may have looked at the prisoners like they were a dime a dozen...but to those prisoners, there was only ONE him. He also didn't deny being present, just argued with the person asking the question. Sounds like a guilty conscious to me...
They're all in the same cammies with no name tags, rank etc. I agree they'd memorize every face in the room. Most telling is that he never denies it, he only deflects. I give it a week before that gets aired out completely.
