Curiouls about the engine. Looking at the Ford Limited F150, a lot of reviews state the Limited has the HO version (same as the Raptor I'm told) and they reference that engine as the "Raptor" engine. So, is there a different engine put into the Limited and Raptor?
This video definitely highlights that the raptor is for sand running and desert running. Not rock crawling. That was a sad little hill bump. The bronco can run circles around this thing.
It depends on what kind of offroad. Mudding - like running till you get completely stuck. Wouldn't do that with any new truck if I had the choice. I've noticed that in every youtube vehicle review/showcase (doesn't matter who is doing it) they are always in the slow lane driving like an old lady and everyone passes them. Is there a reason for this? I'd be putting these things to the test in the fast lane and passing people who weren't doing at least 10mph over the limit.
*I want it but I live in NYC so I can't have it, rain and snow in the back would be annoying to clean, and reaching for groceries would be annoying too without a step ladder...*
Best truck ever! but not best off-road machine. You still have a long vehicle and even with the aluminum frame, still heavy for mud. What s really make the difference is to be able to go so fast off road. I have a 2018 and I will keep it for another 10y!
Great looking vehicle and very capable for what it is designed, gong fast in open spaces. For regular off-roading it is way too big. Sadly many drive these as every day vehicles and it is not a good truck either.
Paul M I bought my 2019 ford raptor supercrew to daily and use for road trips. Brand new in March 2019 and already 16,604 miles on that beast. What’s sad about daily driving the raptor? You just said it’s too big to Offroad. So where are we supposed to drive it? Lol. I’m lost. It’s a Baja truck, not a jeep. As long as the Off road trail is wide enough, it will tackle that shit better than any other stock car/truck. I absolutely love mine and wouldn’t road trip in any other car, not even an Escalade (which I can easily afford). I honestly don’t Offroad mine but I will go ham on some dirt roads or open terrain. I can’t hit the same trails jeeps hit. I’ll end up scraping and scratching my shit. But I will hit wide trails...
I live on the coast, no wide open offroading for me. The approach and departure are pretty good. Breakover is ok, given it is comparatively long for an offroader. The short box helps. And I have the supercrew, so that adds a bit of length too, but well worth it. There are some trails I wouldn't take the raptor or anything new or nice, for that matter. A 4 runner or whatever. There are fewer yet, the raptor wouldn't physically fit. Most people would buy a rock basher of some sort for those trails anyway. But I've been 4 wheeling in pretty much every possible type of vehicle for 35 years, many of those in an industrial setting, and the Raptor is simply amazing. It crawls up slimy rocks, loose head and fist sized muddy rocks, up extremely steep banks, and down, does brutal gravel roads at speeds that simply hurt your mind. And it does it all without breaking a sweat. This is not a $25k lifted jeep with 35s or 37s and good for bashing up and down tight goat trails. There is no doubt at all about that. But for everything else it does it amazingly well and with comfort and composure.
I owned a 2019 raptor and that engine was pretty crummy the performance was not all that great I only kept it six months and traded it in on a Roush F150 super charged 650 hp now that was a performance truck it also had fox suspension like the raptor so in the price was almost exactly the same. Probably the only thing it didn’t have that the raptor did have was the being oh stereo system which I kind of miss in the new truck but I will just upgrade it put a good subwoofer in it will be almost the same.
White Knight you wild. I received my 2019 raptor supercrew brand new in March 2019 and have 16,604 miles on it! Use it for all of our road trips! I wouldn’t choose a different car/truck for our road trips. It performs much better than the previous v8 raptor. I still have my 2012 mustang gt that I’m letting my sister borrow. I just picked up a 2019 mustang gt 10 speed with performance package a few days ago too to get my adrenaline going. I would never ever trade the raptor in for an f150. Crazy. As long as you are happy is all that matters. Simply crazy is all.
Joe Momma I’m not saying the Raptor is a bad truck ....it isn’t. I just prefer the rumble of the 5.0 V8 and the whine of the supercharger. I also had a 2018 mustang GT pp1 but traded that in for a Challenger Hellcat Redeye
If you go high speed offroad, get a raptor. If you rock crawl low speed a lot, get a Gladiator Rubicon or a Powerwagon. I am waiting on the Bronco myself.
Chris Ecoboosted honestly ? I really don’t care if you believe me or not then pictures show many of my toys on Instagram boats motorcycles cars trucks all toys jealous much? I’ve owned !them all
Bit ridiculous. Don’t review a truck you refer to as a ‘car’ or drive on unchallenging trails that hardly gets the truck’s capabilities...or when you’re barely qualified to drive down a dirt road.
Joe Momma At my truck and tell me it’s ugly if you think so fine but I don’t think you’ll think it’s ugly it looks so much like a raptor it’s unbelievable only thing is it’s 10 times faster LOL
Alan Bowers They’re really not that much different if you go look at the specs are very close the only thing different is that it’s 450 hp versus 650 hp and how many times do you take the thing off road versus driving on the street most people drive the mostly on the street anyway. Oh in the sound of the exhaust far better sounding on the Roush nobody can tell me that the raptor sounds better there’s no way
White Knight in my opinion, the Raptor looks much better. Maybe it’s because it’s a lil wider. Not sure. But I’ve seen many beefed up f150s in person and not one looks right to me. But hey! Whatever makes you happy. If you don’t mind losing out on that off road performance that the Raptor has, more power to you.
Very cool vid, but if you wanna ruin the drive train , just put it in 4wd on pavement, u should have read the drivers manual before putting out this video

Frank Crooker what does politics or ones financial means have anything to do with this?
NOW THE 2020 BRONCO IS MEANT FOR OFFROAD TRAILS MOUNTAINS LIKE THE JEEP WRANGLER
last night why are you typing in caps
Idk about you but that seems like Holllywood off roading to me
This car it’s just complete ... you can take a big load with you or some
Friends ... travel see nature or go hunting ... it’s a grizzly for the road
All-terrain not all seasons
I will buy Ford Ranger Raptor
WOW a Raptor that can run through puddles ...
@@joemomma707 I just got a '19, loaded. And love it. It exceeds all my expectations... which were very high by the way.
Greg Goss congrats!!!!
Joe Momma I’m not saying the Raptor is a bad truck ....it isn’t. I just prefer the rumble of the 5.0 V8 and the whine of the supercharger. I also had a 2018 mustang GT pp1 but traded that in for a Challenger Hellcat Redeye
@@joemomma707 Thanks, same to you.
Chcę taki !!!
Hola desde colombia
Isnt a Jeep Wrangler the better choice?
If you go high speed offroad, get a raptor. If you rock crawl low speed a lot, get a Gladiator Rubicon or a Powerwagon. I am waiting on the Bronco myself.
I love Ford trucks even more, not the time to go to the USA
They also forget to add that the exhaust system on this truck sounds like crap but then what can you expect when you have a six cylinder.
White Knight you never owned a Raptor so stfu
Chris Ecoboosted Sorry to tell you this dude but I owned a 2019 raptor and lightning blue look for it on my Instagram page
White Knight nope, anyone can post photos. Dont believe u
Chris Ecoboosted honestly ? I really don’t care if you believe me or not then pictures show many of my toys on Instagram boats motorcycles cars trucks all toys jealous much? I’ve owned !them all
White Knight a six cylinder capable of 647 hp and winning Le Mans. My 19 6 cylinder is a beast. The end
Tundra who?
УАЗ ЛУЧШИЙ
😍😍😍
Tacoma has the best crawl control.
We love ford you love toyota go and by one
woah
RAPTORS ARE NOT OFF ROAD TRUCKS THERE BAJA RACING TRUCKS THERE MEANT TO BE IN THE SAND AND SPEED RACING
actually research the vehicle your talking about...
That thing sounds horrible they should put a lsx
Bit ridiculous. Don’t review a truck you refer to as a ‘car’ or drive on unchallenging trails that hardly gets the truck’s capabilities...or when you’re barely qualified to drive down a dirt road.
My advice on the raptor is pass on it! And take a look at a Roush supercharged F150 I think you will be pleasantly surprised
White Knight fairly different trucks though. Depends what you are looking for in a vehicle.
White Knight hopefully nobody takes your advice!! Lol! Regular f150s look ugly compared to the Raptor!
👌👍👍
Мечта а не машина
Ha! "Off-road" review.......
