Yum I must make some to put on food. A bit of garlic oil would be nice on a winter salad. If we get honey from our bees next year we'll give you some to make medicinal honey and garlic!
And this is precious. This video speaks of how far your teachings have come with Lol! Again... thanks for this too. I wouldn't have seen it if the Fire Cider Part 2 had not been my target. Blessings Terri and family. 🐕🦺🐕🐔🐔🐔🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐈⬛😸
A million Italians and Greeks can’t be wrong they eat a lot of garlic. To me it’s a must have in garden. Old remedies they used garlic for most anything. We used rub it on ankles (yea I know ) to repel bugs in summer or camping or going out in garden. I’ve even put a few cloves peeled inside window sills to keep those bugs out.The scapes (tops of garlic) we use it in cooking salads etc. it’s great when you baked the whole head wrapped in foil or a clay planter pot topped with olive oil and make a delicious spread paste. My son ate it raw as a preteen and still now.
Hello terri, wonderful and so simple, I shall start some today. Thank you so much, hope to try on foods as well as,xxits spring time almost i know but going to be wonderful. Take care, bye for now 😊xx
At 1:33 I think I heard you say to discard the garlic. Why can't that garlic be used for something else? I planted 20 garlic bulbs this fall and hope to have a lovely garlic crop this coming spring.
Because all the medicinal constituents have been infused into the oil. The Garlic has done his job. You could put it into a savoury dish but there won't be much taste.
Absolutely love this!!! I made garlic oil before and kept it in a kitchen cabinet out of sunlight and direct heat, it was soooo flavorful!!. I later read somewhere that it was dangerous to make your own garlic oil, something about needing sterile conditions and how it could easily make you sick if not done right..........can't remember exactly what it was but it made me nervous to try it again. Now I see you making it and leaving it out on the counter....it makes me question it, with all those amazing properties to it, it seems like it would be safe. Can you tell me if you have come across anything like this?? Is it really safe to make your own???
I have read that as well when I wanted to make it as gifts. The older I get the less I trust the so called experts who are there to 'protect us'. If we peasants can cure ourselves with herbs, vinegar and & olive oil doctors and big pharma lose a money. I believe there's a place for modern medicine. Ancestors of all societies couldn't be wrong.
Wonderful video’s always, i love your work! One question: somewhere you mentioned you do not put olive oil in facecreams, what oil do you use? I mix coconutoil, olive oil and beeswax and use that on my face, have you got another recipy? Thanks
♥ love your channel. and i love garlic, just been eating green olive stuffed lol thank you for sharing. x ps does this garlic oil have an expire date please?
I have used this for bronchitis and it works wonders! I just came across some saying that infusing garlic in oil is a risk for botulism bacteria. I always use for a chest rub but now I’m concerned, do you have any info on that? Thanks!
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Thank you! I made a large batch to store over the winter, but it started to ferment so I sought more information. This is helpful. I will continue to make smaller batches as needed!
Hi ❤ I’ve just made my garlic oil labelled it once I leave it for a month and strain how long will it last and do I store it in the cupboard or the fridge ? Sending love and health ❤
My granny used to make this and a garlic soup whenever I would get sick when I was little. Worked like a charm. :)
Garlic is the go to for winter ailments. Granny was right!
onions and garlic, best natural ingredients 👍🏼

GArlic is a total gift. I use it to repel midges and mosquitos too. As well as loving it in food😀
Used to keep a clove of elephant garlic and a paring knife on my counter at all times. We ate it constantly.
Why used to and not still?
@@sl2851 don't think my stomach would handle it anymore. LOL.
Thank you so much Terri for a lovely video , I will make some tomorrow ready for winter . Can’t wait for your next one xx
Thanks Melanie. Just learning to get to grips with video making, it's exciting though. xx
Love it! Thanks Terri.

I only know that I make mine with no problems

I do not use olive oil on the face as it is too heavy, too likely to cause blocked pores. xx
Does it matter where it’s stored? (:
How long does this last

Not really, it is usually gone before anything goes off😂
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I knew you would say that😂👏
Would you make this in a similar way with wild garlic?
You could use wild Garlic but I think you would need a lot more as the bulbs are so much smaller.
I have used this for bronchitis and it works wonders! I just came across some saying that infusing garlic in oil is a risk for botulism bacteria. I always use for a chest rub but now I’m concerned, do you have any info on that? Thanks!
You are using this for a chest rub so no need to worry about botulism which is very rare anyway. Make small batches of good quality oil and garlic.

Hi Terri can I use sunflower oil instead of Olive oil?
Hi ❤
I’ve just made my garlic oil labelled it once I leave it for a month and strain how long will it last and do I store it in the cupboard or the fridge ?
Sending love and health ❤
Leave it in a cool dry cupboard and it should last for months xx
Would we keep it in the fridge
No you wouldn't need to. A dark cupboard would do
Terri, could you make an onion oil like the garlic oil. Onions are great for you too. Just wondering. Thanks. Blessings to all
Yes of course. It would not be as medicinal but would certainly alleviate and prevent infection. xx
❤🧡💛💚
Is there a reason to not use the month old garlic? I imagine it's a tasty mild flavor?
I would use amy garlic so as long as it is not so old that it has gone mouldy.

Thanks Rahila!
