    We herbalists are glad that Rosemary won the lawsuit. We can call it Fire Cider Vinegar. Loved your additions at the end.

    Something most folks don’t know thyme has thymol, which is in a antibacterial mouthwash called listerine. Thymol is on a lot of stuff comes from thyme hence, this is why home made chicken soup heals colds as thyme is in it or should be in my family thyme is in soups stuffings teas for colds as well as sage but thyme has thymol

    I just made my Fire Cider last week!I use Rosemary's recipe too! I make every winter to protect us from colds and flu. I let it sit for two-three weeks then strain it and add some local honey. I also add my thyme to local honey and have on hand for sore throats or cough. Great to see you sharing this in Ireland as well!

    I'm working on my third batch of fire cider, it is soooooo good, I love Rosemary, I'm working on the plantain chapter..... In my Fire cider recipe I added 2 tsp black pepper ( instead of the cayenne powder, if I run out ) along with 1 lemon, it really kicks it up a notch ...

    I have been making something similar, but its Ginger, Cinnamon, cloves, a Lime halved, chilli powder, nutmeg and you can add your favorite herbal teas, put it all in a pan of water, bring to boil, simmer for 30mins..and drink! . I absolutely love this recipe for Fire Cider Vinegar, and shall be making it this year!! thank you for sharing this amazing recipe.

    My friend grows horseradish. He made horseradish out of vinegar and salt and wow cleared my sinuses which I ate some on bread and butter I’m a believer in this as my grandma made us eat some on bread and butter during winter season. 👍 she would make a poultice and mustard plaster pack as well.onions have sulphur too and quercetin so this is great. Ginger is fun to grow as well

    I think my father used that when he was alive. Being a younger adult I thought he was nuts. How could something that sounds so disgusting work and because commercial medicine is always better. Gosh I cannot believe how stupid I was.🤦‍♀️ I definitely want to make this in early autumn this year.

A woman after your own heart in healing things.she didn’t have horseradish tho and my grandma would use horseradish for our sinus headache and clear the mucous.I use rosemary as well in it. And a sprinkle of lemon zest for tasteSo this is good 👍

    So back to Fire Cider Season again Terri. I am so grateful I could find this recipe here. Just as the first frost touched down today, I am almost out of mine from last year. How did the legal case of Rosemary Gladstar work out? Do Danu's Handmaids still retain the right to call their medicine "Fire Cider" ? This is such an amazing gift for the winter chills and bugs.

    I made my 2nd Fire Cider yesterday! Didn't use horseradish though, its crazy expensive. My first one is ready this week. I am opening it either on the New Moon, or Autumn Equinox, haven't decided yet. The second will be ready by my birthday and is my birthday gift to myself. I need a positive change of direction in my life. I'm hoping the intentions I set for them help that. I'm way too stagnant in everything right now.

    Hello Terry. I hope you are well. Thank you for the great videos. The horseradish roots in my are are all soft. Are they ok to use or do they need to be firm?

    • @DanusIrishHerbGarden
      @DanusIrishHerbGarden  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Home Front, how are you? Personally, I would expect the roots to be firm to hard, depending on their girth. If they are too soft to grate they may not be very potent.

    I have a question for you. You mentioned blood thinners and garlic. Is there a way of making this recipe so that it doesn't affect the the blood thinners? I know how effective the garlic is, but I'm wondering how it can be taken? Any suggestions would be most appreciative, thankyou 😊

    • @DanusIrishHerbGarden
      @DanusIrishHerbGarden  3 роки тому +1

      Vicki, as Garlic is a known blood thinner you would have to chose to use Garlic or to use pharmaceutical blood thinners. If you prefer to stay on the pharma meds you would have to leave out the garlic. Hope that helps.

    I am suffering from a lot of things and I don't believe in medicine off the doctor anymore. I suffer from sinus and ENT. Plus I have been taking tablets for a fungus infection in my two big toes, and I used to keep getting a nail attached to 2, 3 nails together.. I have changed a lot of my food intake in the last few years beginning with been a vegan and I tried eating the vegan meat but I didn't think I should eat it again. I only have tofu but it might every few months..And just eating vegetables. And I have started the Spuds Fit Challenge which I find I can do it.the second time around.
