Bruh Skyler knows he's being recorded for a UA-cam podcast. He LITERALLY looks directly at the camera before 'accepting'. He's smart enough NOT to crush her on camera. Gonna save that for after the first date when she lets him do whatever with her first. That guy has such HEAVY player vibes... And he's not even super good looking.
Face froze up when she said she liked him. There wasn't even an eyebrow raise and he sat there through her whole spiel with his arm crossed in front resting his head. Everything about that posture reads, bored and stand-offish, but used to being randomly hit on and pretending to care. He literally cringes, sighs, and crosses both hands in front. Holding your hands crossed in front of yourself and/or crossing your legs are behaviors to create distance from someone psychologically. If he actually liked her he would be somewhat unconsciously mirroring her posture... He then literally gives the camera man a "really?" look before 'matching her energy' and accepting. Everything about this screams manipulative behavior, whether it was short (just for the video) or long lived (bangs once or 'gives it a shot cause he's bored').

Yeah, for sure, not at the same time as you anyway. But if he/she gets to know you that might change. And that's if we're talking "crush that you barely even talked to". Sometimes there's just a vibe with someone during casual friend meetings and both of them might feel it.
That first guy’s face, body language and ENTIRE demeanor is exactly how I am when a customer at work is oversharing, telling me their whole entire life story and I’m trying to act interested but inside I’m like “omg I hope this person leaves already I do not want to continue this awkward conversation”. He 1000% is not interested in that poor girl at ALL, and it couldn’t be more obvious.
He literally cringed. Then looked at the camera, then sighed. The over enthusiastic chipper tone of voice, absolutely a persona for the cameras to not embarrass her. And if we can tell that she is so overly clingy just from a 20 minute clip, then the guy being her friend most definitely does and probably knows even more than we do, and he is 100% just trying to not humiliate her by rejecting her on camera.
The girl with the platinum hair shot herself in the foot! Every question regarding sex/sexuality she answered with the worst freaking possible answer. She tried to play the cool experienced girl, but outed herself as promiscuous and that grossed him out, just look at his face when she says “what haven’t I tried!”

As for the rest of what you said, I just explained that to a young girl that asked why men cheat when their girlfriend or wife is beautiful. The point I’m making is, the man who loves you will make it obvious. You won’t have to prompt, beg or question. His energy will be resounding and firm. I had the displeasure of a narcissist marrying into my family when I was 4 years old. I did not like them from day one. Always thought there was something off about them but couldn’t quite figure out what.
Turns out they manipulated, lied, and cheated on my loved one for over 40 years of marriage. Wore down and used them up until they were in the final stages of a terminal illness. Found a replacement before my loved one was even gone, then proceeded to be unfaithful to the new one on the night of my loved one’s funeral. I tried to warn the replacement, but it fell on deaf ears.
They moved overseas and married barely a year after my loved one died. Now they have a whole new family to charm, manipulate, and gaslight to their heart’s content. Absolutely disgusting 😞

This reminds me of the book that came out years ago (and then movie) “He’s Just Not That Into You”. It may sound harsh but what he says in the book is pretty true, if a guy doesn’t put in effort then he just isn’t into you. None of these guys seem truly excited or relieved that the girl confessed their crush, and they’ve been friends for a while, so if they truly were into her, she would know it. They would have taken a shot at them already or at least seem excited.

I met the gf a few times but I was invisible to her. I knew she was an old friend of the group from their previous school. Which is likely why I got ghosted to begin with (I was never part of their original circle). They all knew her and they’ve all described her pretty negatively, a “manipulative person”. My hopes are exactly what you said. It never sits well with me when someone controls someone else’s ability to talk to others. Even though this happened years ago I could never replace that friendship.

Nah, I am with you here, Amala. The ginger girl gives yandere vibes: too obsessed and too vocal about her obsession, if I were a guy, I would've run as far as I can - that's screaming problematic affection. And her crush doesn't seem genuine at all, he comes of as cold and creepy, none of his answers sound legit. The other girl and her crush were too awkward, and not in a good/shy way, more like in a "what the hell is going on" and "let me out of here" way. The girls were the only ones who totally vibed with each other, there was no tension between them whatsoever, all their interactions felt natural. I know, that love is blind and you can completely miss all the red flags when you have a big crush on someone (and even when you admire a person platonically as a friend), but Jesus Christ, those flags were all over the place. Apparently Amala doesn't know or have any friends that are introverts or with social anxiety, probably she ignores that kind of people because they cant match her energy.
You can NEVER expect that an intorvert that is probably interested in an extrovert matches that extrovert vibe, thats never gonna happen (fear of rejection, fear or being called creepy, etc), and that doesnt mean that they could not end up together, usually intorverts open up with time and when they feel more comfortable. I used to work for a channel like cut. Looking back on it, it was messed up. I hate when channels do videos like this now. It’s really heartbreaking how they’re okay with humiliating people for views and the participants have no idea 1/2 the time.

They're operating straight out of the "reality TV"-playbook. Which mean that, yes, setting up and filming people in humiliating or embarrassing situations is their basic bread and butter.
In fact, any time you're being recorded for later broadcasting, unless you're there to be asked about very special information that only you, or very few people, know about AND is of some kind of broader importance and interest in of itself, you're likely being set up for some kind of gotcha or humiliation.
And sometimes you will be, even if you're (supposedly) there to be asked about such information.
Anyone who actually reads through and understands the typical release form TV production companies and similar will try to make you sign, will refuse both to sign and to participate in being recorded by them.
But so many people have such a hard-on for having their face on the boob-box, they'll throw caution to the wind as soon as their see the camera, and hence, we have the interviews by the likes of Colbert and the Daily Show back in the day, much of the films and TV by Sacha Baron Cohen, like the "Borat" movies, and just about every more-or-less scripted Reality TV-show such as "Housewives of...", "The Kardashians", and "Big Brother" all the way down to the likes of "Survivor".

Numerous people will defend themselves after the fact, elaborate on things, give context, etc. while watching their appearances back. More and more people take editing into account when formulating and broadcasting their opinions regarding such videos. Or, when watching others’ videos. Just the amount of knowledge shown surrounding this makes me hesitant to say current participants don’t know half the time that they’ll be shown in an unfavourable light. Not saying they all know, but 50% seems like a stretch to me.
As a man i really wouldn't want to be in these guy's shoes. If a woman plopped me down in front of a camera and told me she liked me I'd assume something nefarious was happening, that she's trying to embarrass me publicly or just some kind of bullying.
