I started to take Turmeric and Cumin black pepper ten years ago, it cured my arthritis in my wrist! From that day it cured me, I have been using it in ever since with most foods I eat/create and I have never looked back, in fact I have spread the word with my bowling seniors! Many thanks for the reassurance that I am using these spices in the proper way!

I make yogi tea (which ironically has not tea in it) and I have just added fresh turmeric root to the mix.
Yogi recipe has cinnamon sticks, fresh ginger root, black peppercorns, cloves, star anise, licorice root.
Give it a try. Boil the ingredients in a kettle, then bring the heat down to a simmer for 45 minutes.
You may add honey or milk if you wish, but I never do. The aroma is beautiful.
    High in antioxidants, an anti-inflammatory.

I do appreciate this video. The information is quite good. Of interest tumeric, black pepper, ginger, and cinnamon are fat oil soluble. Sessme seed oil is the best carrier oil in clinical tests by the National Institutes of health. Few spices and whole nutrients survive the stomach acids. One percent absorption is average. A better concept is to pack nutrients into an empty enteric capsule which passes through the stomach and into the intestine where in 45 minutes the capsule is dissolved for easy absorption.

Best is to use turmeric in tadka (seasonings) with some pepper
In Karnataka we most have a “CHITRANNA” for breakfast,

My leg was swollen for 2 years. I read about turmeric and made a simple tea of turmeric and hot water. The next morning the swelling was gone. That was about 8 years ago and I have been putting turmeric and pepper in my coffee ever since. Many of my aches and pains have subsided.
