the Matra museum has confirmed on Instagram that the Espace was scanned, so a future GT7 will definitely feature it.

Saw the notification and I wished so much it was new footage of this thing. I know this fever dream of a car existed, because Frenchmen I guess, but I only could find a couple videos about it

I don't think we will see this car driving again it's a pain to make it run and the people who know how to make it are retired or dead and renault don't really want to do it too so yea

The Ford Supervans 1 and 2 were pretty cool, but for me, this was by far the best of the silhouette vans. Certainly the best looking and sounding.

I remember that one. Even today my brain has difficulties to explain what it sees and hears. It still feels like an overdubbed video. The idea was bonkers but that's why I love it.
Bring back the 3.5 V10s in an F1 series where all the cars have to be minivans/people carriers like this. The racing would be brilliant.
We almost did back in 1990. There was gonna be a new series starting with the Alfa 164 Procar, and basically what it was is that it would be normal ordinary cars with F1 engines in them.

Seeing the Espace F1 scream its way up the hill is one of my all-time Festival of Speed highlights.
I hope it comes back sometime. It would be fantastic to see, and more importantly, hear it again.

Love this F1 Van! Gran Turismo 2 debuted it back in 1999. Absolutely ripped it up grand valley 2 track. Best days!

This one and the BMW X5 with the LeMans winning V12 have been amongst the craziest builds ever.

For Renault, this was to celebrate 10 years of the Espace. This car takes the general shape of the Espace II while combining it with a V10 Formula 1 engine. I encourage everyone to see this vehicle (but not only...) at the Matra Museum in Romorantin.

Why the Espace F1 isn’t in more video games is beyond me….. I remember as a kid being so infatuated with the thing in GT2, and then it not being available in any other game, such bollucks….. especially given it would fit right in in the Forza Horizon series

Epic sound ! But could you update it with a corrected image ratio ? It's all elongated, as if it was corrected from 4/3 to 16/9 while being in 16/9 to begin with, I'm not sure if I'm clear.
