Daaaaaaam the takeoff of that McMurtry is insane. I wonder what the g forces are at takeoff.
Even the Marshall was like: wt actual f??? And he at least saw all cars from that day and maybe even more in other years.

Set that McLaren up properly and we’d see another sub-40 almost certainly…. What a sound. I’ll bet there was plenty of induced hearing loss done that day.

the early F1 cars are just the best..... open tyres, huge power right at the top of the rev range, manual shifts, tiny steering wheels, real driver skill. EDIT: And that sound.....

Love the mcmurtry and the vw electric. To think we have come so far with battery powered cars is awesome. Can't wait to see what the next 50 years has to offer

Hopefully more advancements into hydrogen hybrids. Ev's are already at their peak and now reliant on ever dimishing returns on battery tech until we somehow manage to break through that next tech wall.

Those are SO FREAKIN fast..... electric car or not, I look at the bodies and just wouldnt imagine seeing them racing on a track duking it out........ awesome.

Graeme Wight Jr’s 2003 run was incredible, we need another more modern British Hillclimb car to come and improve on that, like Alex Summers or something. Could be a serious contender for top spot
