Especially if you line up the the ACR and Speed12. Just throw literally everything we have in the shop at it and put it on the track. Outside of inbore suspension, the Gen 4 ACR is very much geared towards murdering the driver just after you set a fastest lap time. How I imagine it feels to drive a Speed12 at the limit.

I briefly owned a TVR Tuscan V8 (289) and the clutch went out after a couple of hundred miles. I don't blame TVR, the previous owner was heavy handed. The car didn't impress me (compared to a few others i still have) and i parted ways with TVR. I changed the clutch myself and a doctor from Connecticut bought it. I actually drove it up to his house and he cashed me out and drove me to the train station. This car in this video is a specialty one off car. Pretty sweet but if I could afford it i still have a few others I'd choose before it. It can't be driven where I live. This, to me, is my ultimate driving machine/ beast. Even when we raced it in GT3, we knew how scary, yet exciting it was. Even though you had in your arsenal, it was only pulled out on special occasions. Two Dodge Vipers slammed together; my heart is racing just thinking about!

I remember the Speed 12 that used to race in British GT, absolute beast of car, even if the Vipers and Lister Storm tended to be faster.

This was a treat! My mind went straight back to GT3. The beauty in design that follows form is this thing is so bonkers-looking it’s timeless. Thanks for going over this gem.

    Loved this.
The original Gran Turismo introduced me to TVR and a "normal" cerbera has been a dream car ever since.
I had forgotten the speed 12 was supposedly based on the cerbera but seems obvious looking at it now. Still looks great to me all these years later.

I remember watching the Jeremy Clarkson VHS "the most outrageous Jeremy Clarkson video... Ever" where they featured the race version of this car.. such a magnificent segment for a magnificent car 😍😍

I watched a lecture given at Leicester University by TVR's Neil Anderson on the creation of the car. It was superb but I only remember snippets. Apparently, when they had to fit intake restrictor plates to race, the vacuum collapsed the air boxes and they had to use thicker carbon fibre. one of the biggest challenges was not melting the diff and oil cooling was crucial.
I did see the Speed 12 race in the British GT series and it was a monster.

I liked this video and watched the whole thing....however, there wasn't enough of that engine sound. I can't imagine what it was like in person. This car was also in one of my all time favourite games, Project Gotham Racing 3. It was a 200+ mph beast on there.

This goes to show the power of games like Gran Turismo. Especially at that time. A car that barely existed is known about by millions. I played Gran Turismo since GT1 was only a Demo. So cool to look back on this stuff now.

such an underated car, one of my favourite car ever is the Sagaris and I must say, when I have the money, I'll buy a TVR because that's a one of a kind car and I'm pretty sure that you must feel some things that you can't feel in other cars.

Legendary! As a massive TVR fan the Speed 12 is the pinnacle for me. Loved watching its development and hearing about the testing stories and was saddened to hear of the cancellation of its production then ultimately the demise of TVR. Yet another great British car builder gone with any luck they can get the new Griffith to production but I'm not holding my breath.

I lived in Manchester for about seven years and was lucky enough to own a Tuscan and Chimera which were both serviced by the TVR factory in Blackpool, they were unforgettable cars, actually I'm looking for a TVR now that I live in Florida. Miss that brand very very much.

Drivetribe, you guys and girls have made yet another amazing video. Featuring an epic piece of automotive history. I first saw/knew about the car when it appeared in Gran Turismo 2 as it was a reward car for one of the higher tier racing events. It always was a bit of a handful on the game
