I have the 530 and it’s more than enough. I used it to dry my car, blow leaves and does it perfect. Sounding additional $130 just kicks in law of diminishing returns
I have a 650 CFM. What a powerhouse. I'd put it up against any gas powered blower. I like the trigger that allows me to control the CFM so easily. The turbo button is also handy. I've been able to blow leaves out from tight spaces that my older blower couldn't disturb at all.
I know this is an old comment, but if you're still wanting an answer: about 2.1 pounds. (2.87 vs 4.96 for just the battery. The tools themselves are almost exactly the same weight).
@@ericbond1144 The 530 is available as tool only or in a kit with 2.5 Ah battery and standard charger (it's also available in a bundle with a string trimmer with the same battery and charger). All EGO batteries power all EGO tools so you can use any size battery with the 530 blower.
@@ericbond1144 From the user manuals, EGO claims the 530 runs 75 min on low and 10 min on turbo, while the 650 runs 200 min on low and 15 min on turbo. They have 50- and 100-min charge times, respectively, with their kitted batteries and chargers. If you have other EGO batteries the run-time isn't as big of an issue since you can just swap out batteries when one runs out, charging the depleted one while using the fully charged one. Everybody's needs and use cases are different, so I recommend buying one from a local Lowe's or Ace Hardware store to try out, and return if not to your liking.
I use the 7.5Ah battery on my 530 cfm blower. It runs on turbo for at least 45 minutes which is insanely awesome. I bet the 650 blows harder, but probably won't run as long so my guess is that I can actually do more work with the 530.
Sorry, the company lost my vote, when they say you can buy one without a battery, but you actually can’t. i think that’s misleading advertising and it defeats one purpose of having interchangeable batteries.

I'll go up against you with my EGO 600 CFM backpack blower.
We both drain 7.5ah on leaves, then try to use chopsticks to pickup rice grains ;D
What is the weight difference between 530+2.5amp battery and the 650+5amp battery?

@@TheMaruMari1 does the 530 come with only the 2.5 ah battery or can you get it with 5ah?

@@TheMaruMari1would you recommend the 650 over the 530? Im just worried the battery on the 530 won't last very long.

At Lowe’s debating to spend $300 or $160 and here for your input :)
Have you decided yet? I'm on the same boat.
What is the weight difference?
Ok..... Constructive criticism. How about zooming in to show the buttons you are talking about?
Great video, I own the 530, is the 650 worth it? For $300, should I upgrade? Is there a big difference in power? Thank you.
It’s worth upgrading if you have a lot of debris to blow and I like the throttle like trigger compared to the dial control on the 530cfm.
Does the wide nozzle come with the 530 also?
@@martyt19able No it is an additional option on the 530
Marty J G Taylor it does not come with the wide tip nozzle you can purchase it separately
I might buy the 650 soon, I get tired when my helpwer uses the 530 over my backpack blowers which are much more powerfull.
Estimate in runtime between batteries in terms of actual minutes? Ballpark

...but you are getting more done, faster, with the 650, so.....less time needed.
I got the 650 to replace my 530.
Not impressed took the 650 back.
@@scottw595 I'm getting it to dry my car, are you saying the 530 is the better buy?
@@djsthemetereman definitely!!!
Lighter and honestly Side by side I couldn’t tell the difference.
@@scottw595 You have solidified my decision. Thx
EGO 600cfm backpack blower FTW
good balance of power and fatigue relief.
What is the difference in runtime between the 2.5 amp at 5 amp battery?
Twice the run time. I find the 650 runs WAY stronger on a 5 but seems like forever on a 7.5 and seems to put on even more CFM, but a tad heavy
Hey can't seem to find the answer. What is the metal clip on the handle of the 650 for?
Blower strap
Someone stole my 530 from 2018 that was dirty but super strong. I purchased a new 530 from 2020 and I dont feel the same power as before.
Maybe they detuned it to see more of the new 650cfm.
Fan sounds out of balance on that 650 cfm model.
I can use 2.5 battery with 650 ego blower?
Jean Bajapaca yes it just comes with the 5.0 Ah battery in the kit!

@@Sidnmd I posted a link to both the 530 and 650 tool only. Look harder before making comments like that.
Yeah, you can. I saw one on Amazon that doesn't come with a battery.
You havent looked hard at all my friend. Lowes, Amazon, etc all have non-battery versions (tool only).
