    This is a great lightweight snowblower for up to almost 10 inches of dry snow. Easy to run and directional pivot head for throwing snow was fantastic. Throws about 25'. Very happy with this product.

    Weight is a big factor to some of us older people. I have several ego products so use 2.5 and 5 amp batteries and the 5 gets a little heavy for me on my 530 model. Good review, thanks

    I've had the 530 for a few years now. Just picked up the 630. I like the new trigger feature and the cruise control dial. I can tell you that the 630 goes through a 5 ah battery faster. I'm usually always using turjo as I have a big yard to do. Normal mode just doesn't quite do it for me although it isn't weak at normal high speed. It just isn't overly powerful to remove debris and leaves, specially wet leaves.

    I have the 615 cfm blower. I'm an average home owner and use it mainly to "clean" the garage. It has the green dial/ cruise control but no bottom holder to hang it up. It came with the 2.5 Amp battery. Relatively light weight. I recently ordered a stubby nozzle for it from Etsy for drying my cars after washing them. Looking forward to trying it out. Love the ego brand. Will add the edger for my driveway next.

    I was all excited about this blower till you said the battery only lasts about 4 years. My little 4 stroke Dolmar (now Makita) handheld gas blower is 7 years old and still starts with 1 pull. No mixing of gas just add premium gas with no ethanol and no issues ever. Runs forever on a tank of gas and takes maybe a minute to change oil which I have only had to do twice in 7 years. I also think the blower will last 15 plus years easily like my Honda string trimmer which is still running strong. Still can’t pull the battery trigger but this was an excellent video review so thank you for making it.

      First, thank you for watching. These are great tools, but yes there is a disadvantage to the batteries. Just like getting a cordless drill or cordless saw. You get 4 to 5 years our of that battery if used on a regular basis. If you want to see more on the whole line here is my webpage with my EGO videos. www.aroundthehome.org/ego-power-plus.html

      I own the 530 and going on 6 years with it. I like the trigger over a variable one. I mostly use it on the lower setting and stop and go all the time. With the variable seems like it will be a hassle slightly pressing it just right for the lowest speed even if you can use the dial. I use dry lube on the impeller and other areas I can get the little tube into. Still runs very smooth

    Hey, thanks for the chapter divisions. It's nice when re-watching videos throughout this channel. My only negative of the 630 is (w/5.0Amp battery) that it is intentionally unbalanced in the hand, angling the blower slightly downward. Meanwhile, I'll buy all the blowing power I can get, primarily for clearing gutters and pushing leaves in the Fall. But yes, I've been surprised how much don't need the turbo along the curbsides. 👍

    Thanks for a great review. I am looking forward to purchasing the Ego leaf blower. I own a Ryobi 18V+ leaf blower that does a remarkable job for its power, but the Greenworks 40V leaf blower was a waste of money; it performs no better than the Ryobi despite requiring over twice the voltage. I purchased the latter because I DO like the Greenworks 40V chainsaw.

    My EGO blower:
    Out blowing leaves 🍁 on a nice 52 degree temperature day and all of a sudden a small tiny branch or leaf 🍁 gets sucked up inside of my blower fan and that leaf 🍁 strips my blower fan blades completely. I no longer have a fan in my blower so I panic 😱 and call EGO, they don’t care 🤷‍♂️ they just want my email address and phone number they don’t sell small parts like that so…….I realize that I am screwed so I get pissed 😤 off and get out my Phillips screw driver out and take the thing apart then I go to a thrift store you know one of those stories that sell other peoples used crap 💩 and I buy a small hand 🖐 held fan for $1.35 I take it home rip it apart just for the fan and put it on my eggo 🥚 and now I have a new fan it works better than the old fan I did have to trim it down to fit, but it works. The company Eggo 🥚 only wants to sell you more crap 💩 you want get any serious support from a greedy company.

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  2 роки тому +1

      @big redd1 thanks for your question. I will tell you that this is the very first that I have heard about any kind of trouble with the 650. I mean I have had a viewer talk about a defective one, but there is always a defective one out there with every single model. Not one mention about fuses. I still walk around at times with both blowers because I am crazy like that. But honestly I don't do it that much unless I am doing fall clean up. Then you better believe I am using both blowers at the same time. All that aside I use the 650 as my primary blower and love it. I have had zero troubles with it and use it all the time. From the obvious blowing after a mow, to just keeping my garage and sidewalk / porches every week. I also bring it to the jobsite with me to keep all the sawdust ect blown off. I am telling you this to just let you know how much I use it. I just checked my Amazon link and it is on sale right now for $250. That's how much a 5.0 Ah battery costs alone. www.amazon.com/EGO-Power-LB6504-Variable-Speed-Lithium-ion/dp/B087RRLLQ3?crid=2VMTHJNDY24H3&keywords=ego%2Bleaf%2Bblower&qid=1660396204&sprefix=ego%2Bleaf%2Caps%2C129&sr=8-2-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyWENOVjNGMFROTUQxJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzc4NTcyMlpKVk1LTEU5Tlo3QyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjE4NjM5MUY5TVBGNURVNk1SMyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=4a13218fd37ebcb7e1b1bfc7c96ce003&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

    I am looking at the lb 6151 which is 615 cfm for $199, what's your take on it? Thank you

    • @AroundTheHome1
      @AroundTheHome1  2 роки тому

      Cindy, thanks for watching and for your question. To be honest the 615 is an in-between model that I don't have direct experience with. It is modeled after the 650, but with a smaller battery and slightly less performance. It also comes with 1 end tip instead of the 2 like the 650. The tip and the slightly less performance are things that I personally wouldn't even consider when purchasing the blower. The big difference is the battery that comes with it. The 615 has the 2.5 and the 650 has the 5.0. Now the 5.0 makes the 650 a slight bit heavier, but gives it twice the runtime. And you can use that 5.0 battery in any of the EGO tools for twice the runtime. It may not matter to you on the regular weekly cleanup, I of course don't know how big your yard is. But for the first spring mowing / edging and fall cleanup, the more battery you have the better. And right now Amazon has the 615 for $185 www.amazon.com/EGO-Power-LB6151-Variable-Speed-Lithium-ion/dp/B08VRZ172R?crid=23RN53IVU96Y8&keywords=ego+6151&qid=1666535816&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjkxIiwicXNhIjoiMC40OSIsInFzcCI6IjAuNjUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=ego+6151%2Caps%2C118&sr=8-2&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=a3cc7806c26494ddc739c72194be8588&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl and the 650 for $249 www.amazon.com/EGO-Power-LB6504-Variable-Speed-Lithium-ion/dp/B087RRLLQ3?crid=SA63SE88L4EZ&keywords=ego%2B650%2Bcfm%2Bblower&qid=1666535925&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjAzIiwicXNhIjoiMS40MyIsInFzcCI6IjEuMzMifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=ego%2B650%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-2&th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=greatwhitenin-20&linkId=e9f2cee91793f2d09ed23a37756948de&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl So for $64 more you get twice the battery. If you were to buy the batteries separate there is a $100 difference between the two. So I would have to say this. If you have a small yard and maybe just one small tree, and your goal is to have the lighter blower then save a little money and get the 615. But if you have a few trees, and maybe some that are a little mature then I would suggest to spend the extra $64 and get the bigger battery. I hope that this helps you make your decision.

    • @AroundTheHome1

      Did I say 200 cfm or did I say like half the cfm. Because honestly if I did say 200 then I was off. But if I said like half, then half of 650 is 325 and many basic gas blowers run 350 to 400 cfm. That would be pretty close to half. And slightly older basic gas blowers were like right at 300 cfm.

    • @AroundTheHome1

      Yes, yes they are. Unlike some brands where the battery sits inside the tools housing so that only the battery that came with it will fit. Not to mention that by doing that you trap heat around the battery. The EGO tools were designed to keep the battery open, not only for good heat dissipation, but also so that any battery can fit. I have the 2.5 Ah, the 5.0 Ah, and the 7.5 Ah batteries and I can put any of them into all of my EGO tools, including both of the blowers. Warning ⚠️ to the wise don’t buy this because the first thing to go out will be your fan blades. The smallest of trash will get sucked up inside your system and destroys your fan blades it will shred your fan blades like paper and it cost $66 dollars 💸 to replace that item if you replace it yourself and it’s very difficult to find the supplier. I have a large yard a corner lot older house and no one battery 🔋 want do my yard. All that I do is blow leaves 🍁 away from the house edge into the open yard, blow leaves 🍁 from the curb into the open yard allowing me to mulch with my lawnmower. This ego Leaf blower with one battery 🔋 want do just the basic for a large yard like mine. It’s great for blowing off the driveway 😆 if you have a short driveway believe me it’s powerful, but short lived and the more powerful you buy $300 the shorter the battery 🔋 life because all that power comes with A quicker drain on the battery.

      I noticed you already left one post like this on another of my EGO blower videos. And I remember the other post said that you got a tiny stick inside the back that shredded all the blades. And that EGO doesn't sell that individual part and how much you hated EGO. You then said you fixed it using a $10 fan that you got at a thrift store. Now you are saying that it cost $66.
      I mean, first I would have liked to see this tiny stick that was sucked up and able to go in through the grid in the back and completely destroyed the fan blade. I have done full yard clean up with these blowers for years. Well, the first one for 4 years now, the newer one just one year. I have cleared my yard and my daughters yard that has so many mature trees. Never have I sucked anything into the blower that damaged it in the tiniest way. I'm not saying that it is impossible, but I do have a hard time believing that.
      Second, I don't blame EGO for not selling every part to rebuild their tools. It would be nice, but tell me which company out there that has a cordless outdoor power line that does that. I find that if you go through ACE Hardware, which is one of their authorized dealers, you can get most parts for the equipment.
      If you want to ask questions on my videos, please do. If you want to challenge something that I say, do so respectively and we can start a discussion. But if you only have a personal gripe with a company of a product that you own, this is not the place to spam your discontent.
